The owners and staff were so beautiful and welcoming, as a solo traveller it was the absolute best. Beautiful property and view, all very authentic and surrounded by trees and plants like a quiet oasis. The balcony was awesome too and I loved the breakfast! The cleaners coming in everyday was amazing, and fresh water and coffee everyday, I can talk about this place all day! Central and great location too. Absolute favourite place I’ve stayed in ages x

Nothing I didn’t like the only thing was internet went in and out for only one night out of 5, otherwise internet was fine.

Loved our stay here, awesome value! Location was fantastic, loved the resident dog 'Botti,' owners beautiful people, breakfast was delicious, loved watching the monkeys along the back every morning. We would definitely stay here again, we felt very welcomed!

Only negative was the shower - water pressure wasn't great, temp inconsistent, height of shower head very low so you had to use as hand held. Our room had openings to outside so mosquitos could get in. Mosquito net good for sleeping but I got bitten in bathroom.

- Lovely staff who were so kind and welcoming - really comfy bed!! - also nice to have a bath! - balcony with nice view - breakfast included was nice with eggs and bread and fruit / tea coffee or juice - really good value! - helped us organise trips and laundry and bike hire across the road - really good value for money - location right in central Ubud on monkey forest road which is a busy street but the bungalows are set back and feels really tranquil and quiet! You wouldn’t know you are staying on the Main Street once you step inside the complex. - walkable to many restaurants and shops - one of the nicest places we stayed in bali for this budget! - would stay here again if we come back to Ubud!

For some people the location might be too busy with bad traffic on monkey forest street therefore takes a little time trying to get out of the town if wanting to go on day trips out of Ubud - but for others a good central location, and easy to get around Ubud itself from here!

I agree with a lot of the other comments that this is a little gem in the heart of Ubud. The very friendly family keeps it very clean, and the dog is adorable. The location is central, but it is quiet. It has a nice pool but unfortunately it rained the whole time while in Ubud so we didn't use it. The room has hot water, a quiet aircon, a fridge, and a kettle. All useful. The owner was chasing the monkeys away (30 or 40 of them!) with the slug gun and dog very effectively early in the mornings.

Freshly made breakfast although its simple. Beautiful garden and swimming pool. The owner and staff were very kind and helpful. Excellent bedding and the room was quite new. AC was powerful and all basic amenities were provided. Some of these amenities were even better than a four star hotel we stayed in Bali. The property is in an allay of a major street in Ubud but very quiet. Some monkeys are around the area, very close to Monkey Forest.

WiFi was very weak and we ended up "stealing" wifi from a hotel next to us as we stayed there before.

Just don’t look anywhere else, this place has it all. So good value for money. Comfy bed, spacious, beautiful and super clean room, great staff with the biggest smile. Even the dog was the friendliest one! We loved absolutely everything here! The bed, the gardens, the breakfast, the location, even the Monkeys that came to visit us. I’m still missing your pool, thank you, best value ever.

Friendly and so accommodating. Everyone was so helpful and quick to assist with anything. Breakfast was perfect amount and in a lovely new breakfast room. Even when a monkey stole a guests ear-buds, the staff was quick to attempt to get them back- no luck! Fantastic location and so quiet. Beautiful setting.

Mosquito netting is getting a little old and worn. The construction next door is somewhat annoying but will be done soon. Nothing the Kartika staff can do about that.

What lovely accomodation! It is situated right in central Ubud, but is a quiet, private oasis in the midst of the bustle. The rooms are comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The staff are attentive, friendly, and kind, and maintain a great property. The resident pooch is a plus - always ready to greet you when you get in.

The staff were very friendly. The room was cleaned daily. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. There was a fridge in the room which is always appreciated. The breakfast was adequate. The location was excellent if you want to stay in the hustle and bustle of Ubud.

The staff here are amazing!! It was like coming home to family every day. The location is great, just off Monkey Forest Road, but it's set back so very quiet. The breakfast menu was limited but adequate and freshly prepared. The pool was so nice to come back to after a hot day out and about. Like a lot of Ubud, there are some stairs (not too many), but the staff can help with your bags.

There was nothing I didn't like! For those that want it (not me), there is no TV. The bed was a little hard (not uncommon for Bali)
