Good location away from the road and close to the beach, good staff, good breakfast, good room, nice bed, and the wifi worked.

I had a bad dream about wild horses, there were too many of them.

The owner is a very nice and honest person. Location is very close to the beach(there is a beach view for one of the rooms we booked but not for the other) rooms are clean, comfortable and AC is working nicely. But it lack of the hotwater facility. The owner is maintaining the property with relaxing vibe. If you are looking somewhere to relax this is a good place. There is a rooftop also where you can see the whole Arugambay area. ( Small suggestion If there are chairs at roof top that would be great to the visitors.) Owner is good person and not a money minded one he will explain everything to you and there are no scams here. This place not only for foreigners they are also warmly welcome the locals despite your race. There are many restaurants close by so you dont have to worry about meals. We had a great day here

Some things could be repaired. Example toilet in our room was not nice and not the same as on picture on booking. Breakfast was also very poor, when I am comparing from “free breakfast” during my traveling time in Sri Lanka.

Great location - a minute from the beach and main street. We loved being on the 3rd(top) floor as there was a gentle breeze blowing through so NO mosquitoes! And lovely free of the sea in one direction. Very mellow - we would stay here again. When our arranged transfer did not work the host kindly assisted with finding another driver - still cheaper than pick me.

Nice Place is very well located. The manager Reefai is fantastic, full of good advice and references. Thank you for the Lagoon Safari, surfing and Ayurvedic treatment tips, we enjoyed it very much and the DR helped me with my back pain.

So close to the beach, everything you need close by, at the quiet end of town away from the surf point, owner was extremely helpful with everything from laundry, to shared taxis, to jeep safaris. I'll definitely stay here again when I come back.

This is budget accommodation and as always, you get what you pay for. So don't expect a luxurious hotel with a fancy bathroom, plush bedding and towels. But if you want budget accommodation with everything you need, including aircon and a reasonable breakfast, with genuine helpful staff, 1 minute from the beach then this is the place for you.

We had an excellent stay at Nice Place! The owner runs the place in a very professional and competent manner; all that is needed for a great stay is present: the guest is left just to enjoy what Arugam Bay has to offer. The hotel and the rooms are clean, specially compared to other properties in Sri Lanka and the beach is 1 minute walk from the room door.

Perfect location just steps from the beach and just off the road so there are restaurants and bars a few minutes walk away. Our room was huge with a massive comfortable bed and a big bathroom. We had a fan room. Outside our room we had two chairs to chill out. We didn't have a breakfast deal so we can't comment on that. We ate at Mama's Place nearby which we recommend.

The property looks exactly like on the pictures, which I highly appreciate. The owner and his family is amazing, extremely helpful (we could use their help to book car to Ella, exchange money, buy water etc), breakfast was simple but delicious included omelette, bread, jam and fresh fruits (owner saw that we are not a big fans of the watermelon and the next day propose to give us bananas instead). Location could not be better, few steps to the beach and 2 minutes to main road with coffee shops, restaurants and surfing schools. Tbh I can’t wait to come again :)

Friendly staff, nice room and good value. I really liked the balcony outside the room, it's a nice space to chill and soak up sun and breeze Also the hotel has a communal library which was great because I had just finished my book when I arrived so I was able to swap for a new one.

From the booking.com description I was expecting this to be beachfront however it's one block back from the beach.
