This Gorgious looking building is situated on the outskirts of tuoro sul Trasimeno overlooking the Trasimeno lake with on the other side only olive trees and a beaitufull old abandoned castle within a 15 min walk. We really appreciated the private spa room which was included for 1 hour. In the restaurant (which looks elegant and romantic) we chose the chef's 6 course menu. My wife is a vegetarian so the restaurant had to put some effort in serving varied dishes. They tried but didn't succeed... 3 of the dishes were truffel oriented and the portions were too large for the amount of courses. I myself on the other hand eat everything and I absolutely loved all of the dishes. Most of them were real taste explosions. Only the first course was not good enough (some kind of bapou bread with meat). They didn't offer wine pairings but instead they served the wines in a great order from light to full bodied. Each one of the wines, without exception, was really really tasteful and this is what I consider a real art. The room was nice but a bit too puffy with golden ornaments etc... We prefer a more cozy look, but this is personal. The private spa in the room was really beautifull and great to relax in together. I slept like a rose till 5 in the morning when 2 of the staff members started chatting pretty loud outside of our window, so I closed it but the result was a hot room so I tried the airco which didn't work(!), this was a bummer but all in all I will return (maybe with a friend) and my wife would as well if the vegetarian options would be better balanced and the portions smaller.

The portions in the restaurant were to large for a 6-course dinner. The variety of the vegetarian dishes was not good enough, especially too much truffle. The staff was having a (loud) chat outside at 5 o'clock in the morning. The bed gets a 8 out of 10 and would expect at least a 9 out of ten.

The surroundings are gorgeous, few minutes drive to a lot of interesting locations, great breakfast, having the Pool and Spa included (booked a suite) it's a bargain for the price we paid. The pool has a gorgeous view and a few nice features, the Spa is private for 1hr a day, small and cozy, has everything you need to make this structure stand out.

In the room we got (Picasso) the bed was a bit dated, could be improved both in its frame and mattress.

restaurants was very good, as was the spa and pool. The rooms were large but the ceilings of the bedrooms very low (several times my husband banged his head) the villa and grounds were lovely and the view very good.

The attic rooms were really too low. The checking out was not as good as the welcome. We were charged for the dog even though the correspondence said there was no charge, we were also charged for three deserts we did not have, which was awkward, though it was taken off the bill.

The indoor pool and the landscape around us. The property itself is beautifully detailed with cosy spaces and great decor. The restaurant is great - especially breakfast which was included. We really enjoyed the indoor pool which is quiet and cosy with lot of privacy.

Our room was on the top most floor. Therefore the bedroom did not have enough headroom for a tall person to walk, especially in dark or middle of the night (half asleep). Also the views were obstructed with high walls as railings. So although we had a balcony we couldn’t really have a view from there or see much around us from the room.

EVERYTHING! The building is lovely - with character and style . Our room/suite ( Called Botticelli )was gorgeous - a room with table/desk and sofa and then a couple of steps up to a beautiful bedroom with two windows with amazing views - and a lovely en-suite . Great breakfasts - so helpful and accommodating with allergies ( nuts and gluten) .The spa was lovely and the 2 pools !! The food in the restaurant was AMAZING and all the staff were lovely .

ABSOLUTELY loved this beautiful art deco style accommodation set in beautiful grounds with an amazing view of Lake Trasimeno. Everything was pure quality. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite. The food in the on site restaurant was superb. The chef produces some exquisite dishes and the staff were so attentive and knowledgeable on the entire menus and helped with our wine choices. The outdoor and indoor pools were great as was the Spa area. Location superb for the Lake, Assisi and Perugia, Orvieto Montalcino, Montepulciano. You won’t regrets arriving at this gem of a retreat.

Very peaceful, interesting interiors, comfortable rooms. We had a minor inconvenience during our stay and the staff resolved it immediately, compensating the discomfort like a proper 5 star hotel!

Breakfast could have some vegetables and more options for the ones who like to eat healthy.

SPA for 1h private use every day is a perfect offer! Pools (in and out) are very nice, internal is heated, external not but really nice. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, and… stars on the ceiling when you turn off the light! The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood.

Breakfast offer needs to be improved, and include the scrambled eggs, better cheese choice, more mozarella, fresh and better quality bread, HOME MADE cakes, and breakfast shortages should be refilled. What was very good was coffee. Dinner offer - lack of some good pasta! The offer is like overcomplicated, whilst simple but well done meals would be the best. Wines - expensive and of poor quality. Every single wine in the offer should be really good. While using the pool, there are no drinks offerred.

Beautiful location, wonderful house. The pool is very nice and the salt water is a pleasant change from the chlorine ones. It has also got a nice spa although we didn’t use it. The rooms have a rustic, elegant feel which really fits in the area. Not too far to pretty towns like Cortona. The food at the property is delightful with excellent wine pairings. Complete rejuvenation.

This place exceeded our expectations! We booked it last minute after the place were staying at was a huge disappointment. Upon arrival you will feel like you have escaped the chaos of the world and entered the tranquil Tuscan villa that you were dreaming of when you decided on a holiday in Italy. The staff is exceptional and everyone is working hard to ensure your stay is enjoyable and comfortable. The chef is fantastic and there is a laundry list of wines to choose from. The pool was amazing and we swam in it everyday! The spa was a bit basic but nice and private which we liked it. Our room was so nice and the bed was comfortable. They also provide additional nice touches like shower gels, lotion, shampoos, shower caps, etc... It's super close to Cortona...which is a must-see and we also toured a local winery.
