The gardens - beautiful! Lovely views wherever I turn. The rooms are clean. The bathroom is large and clean, and modern! We had a garden view, but honestly didn’t even hang out there; it much view really. Breakfast Food is great! Dined at their restaurant, and food was delicious! Very tasty! Portions are big too! You need to rent a car if staying there. Also, there’s a Michelin resto in Cortona - Osteria del Teatro; make sure you book ahead if staying in the area. We did not as we didn’t know.

Maybe a heated pool? The towel rack does not heat up(?); maybe I just didn’t know how, or does it only turn on when the heater is on?

Everything. Our check in and welcome lovely, with a bottle of Prosecco to enjoy (Christian). The views and hotel are stunning. Food was exquisite and breathtaking at times. Paolo and his team including Michele and Eleanora were superb. Very attentive but gave you space to enjoy and relax, whilst keeping drinks flowing. Staff very helpful with accommodating different experiences - wine tasting, vineyard tour and trips to the local town, Cortona. Small number of guests really makes it feel more exclusive and relaxing too.

Incredible property outside of Cortona. Absolutely breathtaking grounds. The staff were impeccable, great service and always very accomodating. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

We booked a basic room, it’s beautiful but the bathroom did let the room down, not what you’d expect when staying at a 5 star in Tuscany. It would be good to have some basic dishes in the restaurant menu. Also, my will pyjama top did seem disappear after house cleaning cleaned our room - a simple mistake. I informed house cleaning but no one seemed to follow up or find for me.

Excellent Relaxing stay. Gorgeous grounds with a beautiful comfortable room. Food at the hotel was delicious. Dinner (fine dinning) was very expensive but on a gorgeous patio with excellent service. Great location near Cortona. We did not rent a car but should have as transportation needs to be planned in advance. Front Staff was extremely friendly but since it's early in the season some staff may need more guidance with concierge services as everything seemed a bit unorganized but ultimately worked out. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We loved EVERYTHING, nothing to fault , the property is immaculate, the grounds are so beautifully manicured and more than perfect , are room superior double was small but perfect the only thing missing was a long mirror which is a MUST for a woman and no magnifying mirror in the bathroom which all 5-* hotels provide both! The dinner was magnificent, wonderful quality . The staff were also amazing nothing is any bother . THANK YOU SO MUCH

Our stay at Villa di Piazzano was absolutely fantastic from start to finish and a real highlight of our honeymoon so far. All of the staff were faultless - incredibly friendly and attentive (but not overbearing), and the hotel itself is simply stunning. It is a little oasis with the most beautiful pool and evening sunsets, which can be enjoyed from the manicured gardens. Our room was large and comfortable, as well as being full of character, and the overall vibe of the whole hotel was one of relaxation. We particularly enjoyed the private wine tasting in the properties wine cellar; it was really informative and the wines chosen were absolutely lovely. The food in the restaurant was delicious and we will, without a doubt, be returning.

The room, the grounds and the pool were all absolutely beautiful. It is small and tucked away and gives a real retreat feel that I had never had before and really loved. I felt like I was able to connect with myself there in a way I haven’t in a very long time. And the town of Cortona is magical! Oh also I LOVED that they have a dog on the grounds, it was so lovely to play fetch with Jack. The staff also was excellent with communication prior to the trip setting everything up for me such as rides into town, e-bikes and a Vespa rental.

I didn’t like the stuffy feeling I got at the hotel. I am not a normal 5 star traveler and it was a bit too much for my tastes. It didn’t feel relaxed or personal. And there were some things that aren’t shared with me (the gym, water tank to fill up your bottle, extended breakfast menu, actual lunch menu when asked) that kept me from using the grounds to the fullest. They also delivered my room service dinner one night far earlier than I had asked (I was going to take a sunset walk and wanted dinner after) but they did nothing to remedy that situation. All of that was a little upsetting to me.

There was no electricity in the room when we checked in on a very hot day so no ac or able to charge phone. They explained the problem was in the region, but we were just offered a glass of water, not the best welcome given the circumstances. So we went to the pool were empty glasses and towels were not picked up for a long time. It looks like there is no management supervising. There was no water in the swimming pool shower either.

I had an incredible stay!! This place was exactly what I needed—a peaceful escape with breathtaking views and perfect weather. The room was flawless, and I especially loved the large windows that let in the beautiful morning light, creating the best morning vibes. Waking up to that view was truly healing. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. I’ll definitely be back!”
