We enjoyed everything about our stay at Locanda pane e vino. Our host was very kind and accommodating. The cozy room was comfortable. We liked the quiet location which was very close to the town. The breakfast had a wonderful variety and served in the lovely garden.

Hostess was friendly and kept in touch prior to visit and the suite we got was excellent. Location was very central.

the house is very close to Via Nazionale, the central spine of Cortona. The owner, Debora, was exceptionally helpful. She came with her car to collect us at the nearest point we could reach with our car, led us to the public parking and then drove us back to the B&B. the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was fine. When Debora spotted a bottle of wine in one of our bags she went off and brought us a couple of wine glasses, unasked. I am sure that the little garden outside our room would have been a delightful place had the weather been more kind to us.

The description on Booking.com does not mention that you have to be part mountain goat to get to the B&B. the vicolo in which the house is located is very steep and there is a flight of very steep stairs inside as well. I think prospective visitors should be warned. our 80 year old knees were not happy. there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, which was very small, and the bedside lights were inadequate.
