The breakfast was superb. It had a vast choice of cereal, breads, fruit, yogurt, fruit juices and nuts just to mention a few. The best is that you have a choice of eggs dishes prepared for you on the spot. The coffee or tea is prepared to your liking upon request. The staff is very obliging and helpful. The owner, Silvia, is very pleasant and knowledgeable. She keeps the Locanda very clean and organized. No questions go unanswered always available to help. You could find parking on the street in front of the Locanda.

I can’t think of anything

This small hotel seems like a remote hamlet, but the location is actually ideal. No matter how short or far your trip was, Silvia's Locanda Agli Amici is a bit like coming home to completely relax. At night it is quiet and peaceful, but during the day you can also avoid the hustle and bustle of the much-visited beautiful towns in this part of Tuscany. Not only are you within walking distance (1.5 km) of the edge of picturesque Cortona, on the way you will come across a beautiful old remote district at the old city wall before you descend into the city. You will always come across a formidably beautiful view of the plain to the south and west of Cortona. The view from the terrace by the pool, and even from the own bistro of 'Agli Amici' is also breathtaking. In the distance, Lake Trasimeno is also always showing off. Don't be fooled by the term 'bistrot'; in the room where an enormously varied and super tasty breakfast can be served in the morning, the most delicious local dishes and wines are served in the evening. It is a particularly good restaurant where the jack-of-all-trades Silvia and her small but very competent team ensure top service, with expert explanations about wines and dishes. And of course, breakfast tastes even better on the cinematically beautiful terrace with a view of the valley and Lake Trasimeno in the distance. The rooms are tastefully and modernly furnished. Don't expect a refined agriturismo (which is also beyond reproach), but this is just a little more refined. The name has already been mentioned a few times: hostess Silvia spares no effort to please her guests. This is an absolute must.

A wonderful experience at Locanda Agli Amici Our stay at Locanda Agli Amici was absolutely lovely. The place is beautifully maintained—so clean, neat, and peaceful—and the pool area is a real bonus, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Yolanda, the owner, was incredible. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. She even picked us up and took us back to the train station—such a kind and generous gesture that we truly appreciated. Breakfast was also fantastic—delicious and prepared with care. We highly recommend this charming place to anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, and truly hospitable stay. Thank you so much, Yolanda!

Love it all

The breakfast was fantastic. A buffet with anything from cereal, cold meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, and pastries and fresh fruit. You can also order hot food cooked to order such as scrambled eggs and bacon or omelette. It also included juices and tea/coffee. The terrace and pool area were lovely with a fabulous view. Unfortunately for us the weather wasn't great so we didn't get to use these facilities. The location was good, at the top of the hill, just above Cortona which made for beautiful views. Silvia the manager and staff were so friendly and attentive which made our stay even more pleasant.

We stayed with Sylvia in her lovely hotel for a week. The bedrooms are very clean and spacious. We also enjoyed some time relaxing around the pool which was a great break from our busy schedule. There's a lovely walk from the hotel into Cortona which we did almost daily. Breakfast included is a bonus and we also ate dinner at the hotel and enjoyed a great meal.

There isn't anything to not like. Sylvia is a wonderful host, who goes out of her way to assist you in any way.

Very kind and helpful staff who did everything they could to make our stay as perfect as possible :) Clean rooms, great breakfast (and lunch) and very nice view, both from the pool/outside area and the room. We had to leave before the breakfast opened on our last day, so they arranged breakfast to go the night before. Would highly recommend staying here!

Excellent location with breathtaking view of the area. It is within a walking distance to the old town. The facility was very clean and the room well equipped. The bed was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was succulent with lots of variety of food. Silvia the host was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is definitely recommended if you visit the area.

It was a pleasure all around. Starting with Silvia, the manager. Rooms great, breakfast delicious and we didn't have to fight with other tourists for parking.

We had a fantastic stay at Locanda agli Amici. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was super comfortable and clean and the breakfast was amazing. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Cortona town which was perfect for us. We would highly recommend this hotel and we would love to return!

Wonderful place to stay! The hotel was gorgeous, with nice rooms and a fantastic view from the pool. Breakfast was very good every day and the food in the restaurant was probably the best we’ve eaten in a very long time. Sylvia was absolutely amazing and couldn’t do more to make our stay more enjoyable. Thank you so much!
