It is close to everything and it is very quiet. My room was more unusual than a typical room since it had been an observatory room long ago. One evening when there were no clouds I could indeed see many stars and constellations. Church bells every morning and evening. The shower was wonderfully hot. The host is very gracious.

Because my room was the observatory room access to it is only for the able bodied and for people traveling light. As far as internet access it was not a strong or consistent signal.

Centrally located B&B in the old building (former St. Francis monastery I suspect). Fantastic location, great breakfast, all you need is in the rooms, or in a well-equipped kitchen, very nice staff. I can really recommend this place.

There are only 4 parking spots near the place, so if you are late you will have to leave your car in the town's public parking - however, it was only one single small minus of our stay.

ver nice breakfast of fresh brioche and home-made cakes; yoghurt and mousli. Toaster. Fruit juice in fridge and excellent machine coffee. It's clean, comfortable, and has a very pleasant staff, Very close to the church of San Francesco, and in the centre of Cortona, near the museums and churches. Good value for the price.

It is perhaps not suitable for the very elderly such as us, because one must climb very many steps in a steep street to reach it. uit not impossible, if you stop to take a breath now and then! We DID really like it, apart from that

Architecture was interesting, nice view, comfy bed, early check-in, wifi was good, quite central

Shower head was a bit too old but the water was fine, hot. It was difficult to get back to the station as there are no buses on Sundays from Cortana. That’s not the fault of the B & B; just something for travelers to be aware of.

It was perfect. Not flashy. Basic, but had everything you need for a good night’s R&R

Nothing. Except Google Map took me up the steep route to find the premises and I had a heavy suitcase to drag up this way which was quite unnecessarily steep (I found out later in the day, when I’d recovered from the climb).

Such excellent communication from host. Met with warm welcome at front door with pm check in much appreciated Was so grateful to have room with lovely view over the inner church area directly opposite the san Francesco church and bell tower. Basic room as expected. Super clean. Comfortable. Huge puffy duvet on bed. I guess they know the room is likely to be cold. What is it about Italy and the draconian government regulations about turning heating off April 1. Very good price great location. Would highly recommend

Beautiful location, good self-serve type breakfast, great value

No A/C although most days you won’t need it, and they do provide fans so we were still pretty comfortable on one of the hottest days of the year

An lovely b&b, it is right in the heart of the beautiful old town. The room was spacious and very clean, breakfast had a large selection of food to choose from and everything was just what I wanted. The host was exceptional, very friendly and very helpful.

Very reasonably priced accommodation in the center of Cortona, walking distance from museums, churches and other attractions

This year the weather was very hot, and rooms have fans but not air-con. Internet not always working well.

Exceptional! I was in Room 7 ‘Fede’and it faced the courtyard-beautiful and serene, quit of a night and peaceful! Daytime some noise from staff and guests but not too much>Beatrice on reception was quick to reply and very helpful sorting a taxi for me. Croissant and basic choice of breakfast but fresh and enough (for me) -coffee machine and water plus biscuits and jam It met my expectations of locality, safety , cleanliness, and support from Beatrice! Local (3-5 mins walk to Piazza Di Republica and Duomo) . Excellent communication and help -thank you If you’re travelling with large cases then you’ll need a taxi from the station Cortona (€25) and hard to find. Cortona is stunning ! Bnb Francesco will be my only go to in Cortona ! Grazie Mille!
