Beautiful room. Locanda Petrella appears to be a collection of single rooms that have a common area and a breakfast area that is shared by multiple guests. Breakfast was very good with coffee, bread, sliced meats, cheese, yoghurts, pastries, juices. Our host who checked us in and hosted breakfast was very gracious. We don't speak Italian, so communication with her was difficult, but this didn't cause any problems. Cortona is a steeper town, so it is a bit of a climb with bags. But the location was very close to the main street of Cortona, and the main square of the town. The location of the apartment was very quiet and peaceful - no traffic or noise. We would certainly stay again!

Brilliant location in a quiet back alley very close to the two main Piazzas in Cortona. Lovely old but modernized building. Lovely hostess who kept everything smart and clean and supplied a delicious breakfast every morning. Definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay in this lovely medieval city.

Amazing location, right in the heart of Cortona, within one minute of the main street. Locanda Petrella felt utterly charming and authentically of the town. We had an extremely comfortable room and thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. We would definitely rebook and recommend. If you're driving, you'll need to park outside the town walls and walk in but if you take the advice given, it's pretty handy. The host doesn't speak English but we managed with our rudimentary Italian. She was really friendly and very helpful. Be prepared to pay the local tax when you check out. We paid €4. I'm not sure if it is based on a per person or per room basis.

It was quiet and the hostess was very accordant to our needs. Close to everything we wanted to experience.

I don’t know why, but I didn’t get the communication from the owner about a meeting time until late, so that caused a slight problem.

Very nice atmosphere. The room was feel you are in the real Tuscany! Well organised. Owner/runner was very friendly. No tv which was a plus for us.

Central location, two-minute walk from Cortona main square. Extremely helpful lady in charge (Google Translate necessary for English, but she's adorable). First ever perfect, stable WiFi in Italy :) Good heating, suitable for my November trip, this was not always the case at other locations.

Superb room in an old palace. Very clean and cosy. Amazing furniture and decoration. Breakfast was simply stunning. Staff very courteous and helpful.
