A comfortable hotel in a stunning location with amazing views to the valley. The room was maybe a bit dated in style but it was really comfortable, clean and quiet, and I had a balcony with a marvellous view. The breakfast was fine, and again the view! The restaurant Tonnini next to the hotel was very good has an amazing terrace. Highly recommended. The staff was really friendly. The hotel is right next to the historic centre so it's very easy to walk anywhere. There is a nice park next to the hotel, with a playground for children. All and all, I highly recommend this hotel.

I arrived by bus from the train station. My bus took me to Piazza Mercato and the walk to the hotel was quite hard, uphill with the luggage. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel on Piazza Garibaldi so if possible take a bus there.

The view from the nice hotel terrace over the valley is fantastic! That's the reason to stay in the hotel. Fantastic breakfast buffet with another beautiful view over the valley. Hotel is located right at the entrance of the old town.

Nothing really! The hotel doesn't have a private shuttle to the train station down the hill, despite it says so on booking website. It actually refers to the small city bus (once per hour, 3 euro on board or 1.7 euro if buying at a tabacchi).

The view from the breakfast room was fantastic and the breakfast itself was very good with lots of choice.

The night we weren't able to park at the hotel was a bit awkward as the route from the carpark to the hotel involves a lot of steps. However, there are some helpful escalators running for most of the time which makes things easier unless you need to go to the car before it starts to operate in the morning!

The location was excellent and the views from our balcony were fabulous

It was quite dated. The decor, facilities etc could all do with being updated. Hair dryer was very old and attached to bathroom wall. Would be simple to add a new modern hair dryer to the room to plug in where you wish, with a better mirror / dressing table area. Shower was very old but did the job. Lovely place, just needs updating to be more comfortable. Cooked breakfast option would have been good as well.

We only stayed one night, after our friends left and we had to leave the AirBnB. Very well located as it's accessible by car, and by bus or taxi from the train station. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant at the entrance, which is not connected to the hotel is great too. There is a wonderful terrace with a great view of the valley below and sunny when the weather is a bit cool too.

The room was quite small and crowded, without a place to work, and the wi-fi extremely slow.

The views over the valley were amazing from my room, taking in the changing light over the course of the hours. And getting to appreciate all this too from the outdoor patio as well as the panorama from the huge windows in the breakfast room was an added bonus. The morning buffet was superb with very attentive staff, and set you up for hours. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was right at the Piazza de Garibaldi bus stop. There were great views from the hotel terrace & our room balcony. The breakfast was exceptional with a great view. The best part of our visit was going Enotria Enoteca right around the corner. Silvia & her daughter made us bruschetta & Caprese to take back to our hotel. Our hotel restaurant was closed on Saturday. The hotel room was clean, & the bed was super comfortable!

Our A/C wasn’t working during our stay.

Location was awesome for visiting Cortona. Also the hotel itself offers fantastic views from its location just outside the city walls. It was the best value for a hotel we had during our two weeks of travel through Italy.

It’s an older hotel and it feels dated. But it was clean and accommodations were more than adequate for a short stay. It does not have parking, but that is typical of many hotels who have great locations in historic cities. The hotel staff were very helpful in helping us find parking.

The staff were all friendly and pleasant and went out of their way to help you. The communal areas were beautifully furnished and exceptionally clean. The restaurant served good quality food with an emphasis on local cuisine. Breakfast provided a good choice of food items. Bedrooms were spotlessly clean. Location of hotel in relation the town was excellent .

The furnishings in the bedroom could do with updating. Parking at the hotel was €15 per night. Some free parking was available on the roads leading to the hotel but it was often difficult to secure a space and the walk to the hotel from these spaces was steep.

Perfect base to explore Cortona, you are literally two minutes away from the square. The views from the breakfast room are amazing! Comfy and clean beds, very friendly staff (reception gentleman helped us with finding a place to park our car for free), clean and romantic hotel. Would definitely be back!

Everything was great! Perhaps would be nice to have a couple of hot options for breakfast, but it's not a complaint.
