The breakfast was of good quality, and they provided gluten free options, which was very helpful. Beatrice was always responsive to our questions and needs. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. The cleaning service was prompt each day. The room had power outlets near each bed, which was convenient for charging devices. We thoroughly enjoyed Cortona, and this location was a big factor. The bus stop from the train station was across the street, the place for e-bikes was right up the road, the park was just up the hill, and we could even reach the church at the top of the hill, though that took a bit of effort because Cortona is on a steep hillside. We would recommend staying here to all of our friends.

Absolutely EVERYTHING!! SIGNORA BEATRICE is an angel at Santa Margherita! In all of my travels in Europe, especially in Italy, but most magical was in Cortona Tuscany! Signora Beatrice is the epitome of grand, quality of service. Most genuinely is her unwavering kindness and hospitality!! Her professionalism behind the scenes, coupled with her beautiful personality and her overwhelmingly shining heart is memorable!! Most importantly, UNFORGETTABLE!! It was emotionally challenging to check out! As we were leaving, after checking out, I had to look back at Signora Beatrice and get a glimpse of her one more time!🥲

What a surprise Cortona was! And amazing town. We had a night out in the bar on the square celebrating Liberation day with the locals. We experienced a beautiful evening of classical music by a choir and orchestra from Florence in the church behind the hotel. The hotel was well placed, clean and functional. A small bar and terrace with great views.

The hotel has its own car park (available for a daily rate) You are then very close, 5-10 minutes walk, hto the historic centre of the town. This is not so common in Cortona: the old town is on top of a hill and in many cases you need to park at the public car park at the bottom and then make your way up.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. It was essentially located right next to the old city. The reception staff were wonderful and extremely helpful..

We loved the hotel, it is located in a central area, so we could explore Toscana and visit many places! The staff is awesome and the rooms are very clean and comfortable! I would definitely recommend! 💜 Gracie Mile

VILLA SANTA MARGHERITA IS EVERYTHING ONE WOULD WANT IN A CITY LIKE CORTONA! THE PLACE IS RIGHT AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE CITY....CLOSE TO THE ONLY ESCALATORS TO REACH THE CENTER OF TOWN. CLEANLINESS WAS AMAZING, ROOMS WERE BIG AS DANCING ROOMS AS WAS THE BATHROOM. BREAKFAST WAS VERY COMPLETE TO START A DAY OF SIGHTSEEING. WILL LOVE TO STAY THERE AGAIN AND LONGER. IT ALSO HAS PRIVATE PARKING....10 EUROS A NIGHT...

It was very clean, the room was pretty big with space for all luggage. The bed was a bit firm and pillows in Italy are so flat😂it was very close to the town of Cortona.

I wish they had tea /cofffee service available in your room or in a common area during the day.

Beautiful and unique property. Lovely old furniture with gorgeous view over Tuscan countryside. Best breakfast we have had in Italy so far. Bed a tiny bit hard but pillows really good and we slept like logs. Loved the place and recommend
