Our stay at this hostel was absolutely amazing! The staff are not just incredible workers – they are truly wonderful people who made our time unforgettable. Special thanks to Elenöa, Bill, and Emily. They were always there for us, incredibly helpful, and went above and beyond in everything they did. Every evening, they hosted a kava ceremony where we sat together, sang songs, and shared stories. The place is super clean, the rooms are comfortable, and there are so many activities to join during the day. We could always come to them with any questions or concerns, and they made us feel so welcome and cared for. It’s the perfect balance of relaxation and fun. Every time we come back to Fiji, this will always be the place we choose to stay. Thank you for everything!

Elenoa, Meme, Aggie and staff were absolutely incredible with any requests within reason.....Having Pisa a fantastic addition as a Driver whose prices were reasonable beyond anyone else is a great person to have handy when you need transfers done or even day trips. The wonderful Tex, whose musical talents match her Kava ceremony skills is absolutely a person whose attention to detail and interpersonal skills with all the guests is primo. Now the housekeeping staff/ and groundsmen are the hardest working team at the property and are certainly undervalued. I do have a couple of recommendations, firstly that the STAFF are given a designated Staff room so they can relax in comfort and away from the Guests to relax, the houskeeping room is not a nice place for these hardworking people to sit and enjoy their quiet time and lunch in peace. Secondly, a all weather structure be built over the front lawn for all the guests to sit down and enjoy, yes sure you have a marquee at the front of the driveway, but its really intrusive when you have guests arriving during kava time and at least you have this allocated space especially when the weather turns bad for everyone to congregate under. One last one, the reception office really needs a huge super update, after all these years and the money this business makes to have a nice new reception office would certainly make a great first impression for us as guests.... In summary, I wouldn't stay anywhere else on Wailoaloa Road as Bamboo is like a second home away from home for me and no doubt many others who return year after year. Oh actually A guests meet and greet when you arrive if your are new guests around the kava bowl is a fantastic way for Guests to meet too.... But in all seriousness, this a great property, and with those few little changes for the future, I'm not going anywhere else but Bamboo.....Looking forward to seeing you all again on the 18th February 2025.....

Tex & her lovely crew create such a comfortable & kind environment. Each day inviting anyone and everyone to join them in the Kava Ceremony. Bringing so many traveller's together to break the ice & share stories. Throughout the time around the kava bowl there is so much singing done by Tex & the fellow staff. This is something I will remember & cherish moving forward and I found myself humming constantly as I think of each of their beautiful voices. There are also a variety of local activities offered like a tour to natadola beach, etc. This is great for guests who have not rented a car! Overall we are incredibly grateful for our time at bamboo backpackers & it all comes back to the wonderful staff. Vinaka!! Jess & Jake.

The room was amazing, I stayed in the pod accommodation, the best - sooo comfy. The air con was great, I'd hate to go without it again. The space in the pod was so nice. The staff great, location was great lots of taxis and restaurants around, I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. The lady at the reception booked a taxi for my 20FJD, even after I screwed up she was so kind and accommodating. So friendly! Oh my goodness friendly.

The showers didn't have any hot water, and there was no designated drinking tap, I ended up using the bathroom sinks for water. If there were mats leading into each of the rooms it would be amazing as dirt traveled in so easily, and got messy.

Am Alexie from Vanuatu.The accomodations was great well clean and arranged.Good customer service from the staffs,so friendly and easy to interact with them.Their smiles when they talk makes you feel at home.The location is really closs to the beach and is surrounded with bars and restaurants with really good entertainments. The view of the beach was amazing with nice warmy weather there can't wait to get another vocation there again.Therefore I recommend this motel to anyone who is looking for a really enjoyable long vocation,this motel saves you more money and absolutely got the right spot for you.💯💪🫶🥰🥰🥰

Phenomenal people! I felt like I was staying with family! The staff went above and beyond to help me plan my trip, make sure I could take the bus places, and allowed me to leave some of my things when I was island hopping. It was incredibly quiet for a 12-bed shared dorm. They were also constantly cleaning the bathrooms. I never saw/had any bed bug bites. I loved my stay here and will absolutely be back! Also, it is so convenient to the beach and wonderful and fun restaurants. We could just run over to the beach to catch the sunset and swim, and it was absolutely one of the best sunsets I have ever seen! Also, you are able to use the pool at the sister hostel, where the staff there are excellent as well. There are so many fun events and activities that the hostel sets up as well, and I was able to make so many friends at the hostel through these activities and more.

Very grateful to to wonderful staff, especially Bill and Elenoa, who were so welcoming, and remembered me when I returned again later on in my Fiji trip to stay for another night. Elenoa helped me book my trip to the islands, thank you!! They organise daytrips for guests, and have a kava ceremony in the evenings and sing songs with the guests. Great hostel to make friends when travelling solo. I had seen reviews about bed bugs and was a little hesitant at first because of this, but when I stayed in June 2024 I found the big 16 person dorm (no bunks, all beds, and everyone gets a charging port!) to be really clean and comfortable.

The staff here is absolutely phenomenal, you will immediately feel like home! This was my first stop in Fiji and I felt like I was part of a family -- I kept coming back! The staff instantly gave me tips on where to go and when, and when I went on a few multi-day trips, they were able to keep my bag in their luggage storage, which made me feel so secure and made my life so much easier. I had read aabout bed bugs but this was never an issue for me in the 12-person shared dorm room. It was also very quite and clean when I stayed. The location is excellent, easy to take the local bus or a taxi to the airport/bus station. The value is something you could never beat, and it's very close to restaurants/a grocery store. Also, you can hop over to their sister hostel to use the pool/facilities, which was incredible. And! They have a sister hostel on Taveuni, and staying there made me feel even more like part of a family!

I'm sad that I left, I miss this place so much!

Staff at bamboo is great! They helped us with everything what we needed. They also have a seating area where you could relax or join them to guitar playing, story telling and more. The location is great, right on the beach with beach house nearby. There is also a public bus going to the centre of Nadi every hour which is also a good adventure to take :)

You could hear through the walls so we decided to stay in capsule bed and that was perfect

One of the cheapest places to stay, and you get what you paid for, right? The staff were amazing, Kava almost every night, music, social interaction. Mary at the front desk did an amazing job arranging day trips for me!

The shower cold knob was broken so I had to rush my showers before the water got too hot! Loud dogs and music across the street, had to sleep with ear plugs.
