I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bad Horn - Hotel & Spa, and it was a truly rejuvenating experience. Situated right on the shores of Lake Constance, the hotel offers stunning views of the water and a tranquil atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel’s design beautifully combines classic elegance with modern comfort. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and featured a balcony overlooking the lake—a wonderful spot to enjoy a morning coffee or watch the sunset. The breakfast buffet was generous, with a wide selection of fresh and local products. With a fresh orange juice squeezer, which was great to see. Service throughout my stay was excellent. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with any request or question. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The location is ideal for exploring the Lake Constance region, with easy access to boat trips and nearby attractions. The hotel also offers private parking, which was very convenient. Overall, Bad Horn - Hotel & Spa met my expectations in every way. It’s the perfect choice for anyone seeking luxury, relaxation, and beautiful lakeside scenery. I would highly recommend it for couples, solo travelers, or anyone looking to unwind in style.

The rooms are a little dated, and a bit 80's looking. There was no iron & ironing board in the room, which seems to be standard in Switzerland, even for 4 and 5 start hotels.

Location was really awesome on the lake, the Spa really making the best out of it with constant access to the view of the lake from most places in the Spa itself. Breakfast was also fantastic with the opportunity to eat with the sea in front. The luxury was also present in the rooms, but it felt a bit outdated and on the old side. Not enough power outlets and technology that feels like the day before yesterday. We had a room on the street side, maybe a room with seaview would have been better.

We felt the room was old, and street was kind of busy due to some roadwork leading more trafic past the hotel, but other than that it was a great stay with good personel and a great SPA.

Hotel on the lake shore, very beautiful location. Rooms are cozy. Very large balcony with panoramic view of the lake. Very quiet environment.

Although the rooms are equipped with an air conditioner control panel, we were unable to select the desired temperature with it. We contacted the reception, but they did not help us there either. We realized that the temperature was centrally regulated. It was hot for us to sleep, the remote control kept showing that the temperature was +25 and we could not lower it to a comfortable temperature for us.

Wonderful hotel all round; amazing location, fantastic staff, great food (both in the restaurant and at the breakfast buffet), and awesome facilities. The spa, sauna and fitness room are all really well-equipped and make for a great wellness centre. There's lots of attention to the details, and it adds up!

Lose the cheesy Radio Swisscom music playing everywhere (in the lobby, in the lift, in the restaurant, in the sauna lobby..) - it makes the place feel like a supermarket rather than a premium hotel.

Great location on the bank of Lake Constance and 5min walk to bus stop/railway station and ferry, pool, hot tub, jacuzzi and lake swimming, excellent variety at breakfast, good choice of evening eating places, huge room with own terrace and well stocked minibar, lovely staff

Everything was wonderful

Dinner was very good and staff exceptionally helpful across the hotel from reception to housekeeping to restaurant team.

No issues with this hotel to complain about, other than the streaming option to TV is a bit clunky - Last time I stayed it did not work at all, this time it took several attempts before linking. I do this a lot at various hotels and this system is the least user friendly...But at least it is on offer, so no real complaints! An Iron and Ironing board in the cupboards would be helpful for a late check-in... but if you ask at reception before the night porter is covering, they will provide on quickly.

Located directly on the lake was a beautiful setting and a 10 minute drive inland to family members was ideal. Parking outside the hotel or underground was excellent. The room facilities were great for clothes storage as we were staying 5 nights. Great bathroom and shower with robes and footwear. Breakfast offered many choices so was perfect on all aspects. Excellent spa facility.

I had trouble sleeping on the huge bed so never really got a good nights sleep but can’t say for sure it was the mattress. Food in the restaurant was expensive and a limited choice. My wife had mussels one night and I would rate the meal as poor, mussels were tiny. We ate twice there and outside the hotel for the other nights.

Hotel Dinner was great - Staff brilliant and super helpful.

No Iron or Ironing board in hotel room...took 20 minutes to get one from reception and Iron Only no ironing board. Difficult to travel for business without having to re-iron clothes before meetings The TV casting facility did not work. I could hook up to the rooms dedicted wifi network, but the casting facility (using Chromecast) was not functional. I am pretty good at this sort of hook-up and use it all the time in many hotels, so I think it was a genuine problem with the functionality of the hardware.

The location was wonderful, there are no beaches, but you can get in the water through docks with stairs. The lake is so clear! Unfortunately, we were in one of the few rooms with no balcony and no view. There was construction going on a property a few houses away so this woke us up if we had the window open. There are lots of jogging/walking trails and places to chill by the water. It's worth the expense for a special occasion as a middle-class person, it is on the very expensive side. For the two nights, we stayed there, we did feel like royalty.

We had such an excellent stay at the hotel. Very kind and helpful reception. Outstanding spa. Excellent gym. Really nice and comfortable room, with a nice terrasse. Wifi excellent. Lunch and dinner was excellent, both the location/tables and the food. We loved the different outdoor areas. We loved our dinner food. We loved the bar areas and the bar food. We loved the pier. We loved the area. We would love to come back and stay longer.

The service in the bar could definitely have been better. The disappointed us several times, not keeping agreements and promises. My wife felt somewhat badly treated. The breakfast was somewhat disappointing in quality, selection and presentation. That was not we had expected. The service at the restaurant was also a bit disappointing in several aspects. My wife had two negative experiences with two different waiters, during lunch and dinner.
