If I could give 100 stars I would, this hotel is AMAZING. My husband and I booked this last minute on our way from Porto to Lisbon, we wanted to see the rivers and countryside, and it was the highlight of our trip so far. It is off the beaten path but it is absolutely worth it, rooms are immaculately clean, huge and beautiful, the property is gorgeous and maintained like a pristine Villa, the pool overlooks an amazing valley with crystal clear rivers 5 minutes away, staff is so so friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast is delicious. Really cannot say enough about this place, we only stayed one night but if we would have known about this place sooner we would have stayed MUCH longer and it was so hard to leave, there is so much to explore around. Take the extra trip, it is absolutely worth it.

A historical building (old convent) in a picturesque neighborhood. Decorated with historical artefacts. We spent a lot of time wondering around the building, discovering. Magnificent view from the gardens (vineyard) and swimming pool. Bilard and other games available.

Limited breakfast choice. (impossible to get black tea....). Room furnishings slightly worn down.

mattress and pillows are not comfortable and not to the standard of a 4 star hotel; plastic toilet seat very uncomfortable; the base of the sunbrella holder on the balcony was broken and our sunbrella could not stand up and still. In my view small adjustments would bring this hotel to a 10 out of 10, but needs a bit of attention and care.

Location. Food

Bit of a mix up at check in, which took an age to sort out. The check in staff had limited English understanding, even tho it is stated as a language spoken at the hotel. It was eventually sorted out to my satisfaction.

The property was lovely. We were appreciative of the staff’s attention to detail and kindness. The rooms were exceedingly spacious, with plenty of storage. And the views from the pool were million dollar vistas.

The Wi-Fi was intermittent and for our tastes, the beds were a bit too firm.

Well decorated and beautiful space in magnificent and quiet surroundings. Staff were very nice and courteous.

Breakfast could be improved since what was on offer was a bit scant

It was a very nice stay. We booked it a bit on the spot, and they could fullfill our needs. The breakfast had a variaty of cakes, eggs, bacon and such. It was a pleasant stay.

The mattress was a bit stiff for my perference

Comfortable hotel, with very nice overall decoration of a 18th century convent, large spaces (terrace, living room, restaurant). Nice view of the mountains.

Average breakfast, swimming pool was closed in April
