My husband is paralyzed and is wheelchair bound. A lot of places we stayed on our trip stated that they were accessible, but the beds were so high that I couldn't get him on the bed and the bathrooms were small and not accessible. I am also short and carry a foldable step stool with me when I travel. But, Best Western Statesville, NC was definitely accessible. I was able to get him on the bed and the bathroom was huge with a roll in shower. and I didn't need the step stool to get on to the bed. My husband also enjoyed the breakfast immensely. Everyone was pleasant and very helpful. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to see our son.

I didn't find anything I didn't like.

The location on 301 was perfect for us since we were traveling south back to SW Florida. The breakfast was sufficient, though it would have been nice to have one more source of protein (hardboiled eggs, for instance) but I know that is expensive. My only two complains about the room were that the shower curtains really needed to be sprayed with hydrogen peroxide to sanitize them (and to rid them of their mildew-like smell) and our bed was really to dim for me to sleep well. My husband was fine with it, so that is all a matter of familiarity. Otherwise it was a suitable room for one evening.

The owner( wife) was exceptionally kind, non biased, wonderful conversationalist, compassionate and empathetic towards our hurricane evacuation stay. They even waived the pet fee which is RARE in Florida. She was a top quality wonderful person . Service was wonderful. Our room and lobby were newly remodeled and clean . Lobby and continental breakfast was satisfying and the effort to cater to the guests requests was beyond exceptional. Thank you.

We asked for a handicap accessible room and were told all rooms are accessible. The beds were so high that I had to get help to get my paralyzed husband from his wheelchair to the bed. Which is something he usually does independently. The bathroom was so small that his wheelchair wouldn't fit. The rooms were large, clean, and we even had a couch, but the room was barely accessible for my husband.

The Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the property was very well maintained and presented with an excellent breakfast offering,

It was located next to a major road so eateries were a couple of miles drive away. Even the burger joint across the road was impossible to reach on foot because of the traffic flow.

The room was clean and big and had a small refrigerator and microwave. Parking was easy and it was close to a Bojangles which is one of my favorite fast food places. Breakfast had a few more options than expected. The pool area looked very good and I was sorry I didn't have time to try it. Staff were professional and friendly and seemed happy to answer all my questions. And, blessedly, the air conditioner worked very well.

The room looked a little older and could have used a fresh coat of paint. The mattress had a few small lumps and the pillows were all one style which was a little hard for me-so if you're particular, you may want to bring your own pillow. However, I had no more problems with my back than I do at home and I have a fancy bed.

Imron the clerk was exceedingly helpful and caring. I had just lost my mother and he went above and beyond to show his concern and provide sympathy to my family. The hotel and room were spotless! It was quiet and breakfast was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know!

Swimming pool was not open

Great place! I am going to make this a regular stop. Waffle House right next door.

It eiuhc be a much better experience if a window could open. A room with windows sealed shut are like hospitals of airplanes. You should be able to open them at least a little.

Very clean and surprisingly quiet location. Breakfast in the morning was great and the area was very clean. I have stayed here a couple times while visiting Jacksonville for a Rodeo. Always clean and friendly people.

Nice enough stop while passing through. Clean and fairly newer remodel. Comfortable and decent price.

Wish breakfast was better but it’ll do.
