We loved our stay at Montis Maurelli. A secluded and quiet spot where we had the chance to unwind and relax. It was wonderful to stay somewhere so peaceful on a weekend escape from London! Herve the owner was so accommodating and helpful, he offered us tips for exploring the local area and has made such a gorgeous setting for a B&B. We had breakfast looking out on beautiful views of the village and surrounding countryside. He also made the most amazing breakfast, we were certainly never hungry! We had a lovely, calm, peaceful stay and would highly recommend it for a long weekend.

This was an excellent stay and far exceeded our expectations. The room was large and spotlessly clean, all the comforts you could ask for were there, toiletries, tea and coffee making, many chairs, cushions, nice linen, lamps. The windows had shutters so the room was lovely and cool. The bathroom was excellent, spotlessly clean and the shower was good. The view was lovely which we could see form the beautiful terrace or out our window. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE, we were treated like kings and queens and the breakfast had everything you could want, coffee, juice, eggs, cakes, cheese, crepe, waffle, bread, homemade jam... the list goes on! The host was lovely spoke amazing english and could not do enough for us. It was truely relaxing and it was an incredible 3 night stay. We would return.

This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in during 25 years of staying in B&Bs in France. The owner was exceptional. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were the best ever we have eaten. In retrospect this is probably the best B&B we have stayed in, in France.

We had a truly wonderful 3 night stay at Montis Maurelli. The host Herve is truly wonderful and provides a grand breakfast everyday with crepes, croissant as big as your hand, eggs and bacon at request, juices, fruits, homemade jams, coffee, tea…. The list goes on. The setting is absolutely beautiful for taking breakfast or relaxing with a book and a beer in the afternoon or evening. Opening your curtains to that view every morning is priceless. It is also very peaceful, so despite being in the countryside, you will E njoy sleeping well. A must visit and we highly recommend.

Everything was amazing, and the breakfast was the best I've ever experienced! The host was very friendly and super attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend this place and would come back again! :)

Nothing. All was perfect!

it was very old, but beautifully restored. it was on the edge of the town, but with a beautiful view of the chateau on the hill. The room was large, as was the bed, and although decorated in an very nice older French style, the bathroom was done in a very modern way. There was everything that we needed in the room. The breakfast was exceptional, with a fresh fruit cocktail, yoghurt, baguette, croissants, brioche and home made jam. Bacon and eggs were on offer, with the eggs cooked whichever way you wanted, with tea or coffee to wash it down. The host was very attentive, and spoke in French or English. Nothing was too much trouble for him. we would recommend it to anyone, who wanted a nice peaceful, relaxing break.

Everything about Montis Morelli is perfect. The host cannot do enough for you. We booked as we were attending a wedding nearby, and we were so lucky to have found this place. Breakfast was delicious, homemade jam and cakes. Lovely coffee too. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and the decor is French chic, quite luxurious. We stayed on an extra night because we really didn't want to leave. I recommend Montis Morelli for an overnight stay or longer if you are spending time in the area, you are guaranteed to love it.

it is a lovely property in a beautiful setting it is quiet and peaceful you look out over a valley onto the village below the views are extensive and made extra special that you can view from your bedroom window the shutters can be folded back the windows can be fully opened inward A beautifully laid out reception and someone meet you immediately the decor is perfect and in perfect condition the whole layout is so inviting you are taken up to your rooms the beds are comfortable the decoration is beautiful The bathrooms are superb modern showers with overhead flexible and body shower in a lovely cubicle and amply sized for the biggest of us It is a very modern bathroom all looking brand-new but set in the past the beds were comfortable and we slept well. We came down to breakfast the table was laid beautifully there was fruit salad on the table in front of you And on another beautiful laid out table that was all the continental selection the croissant’s were exceptional we would offer tea and coffee which was perfect.

There isn’t anything that we didn’t like about the property we were six adults and we all enjoyed it

Montismaurelli is the most beautiful property set in a stunning peaceful location. Although the property is old, the rooms have been tastefully modernised with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The owner was charming and went out of his way to look after us perfectly during our stay. nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served outside on the patio with the most beautiful views. The food was delicious and included homemade jams, freshly baked bread & cakes, & a variety of seasonal fruit. Eggs, crepes and other options were also available if you had a large enough appetite! On our last night we were offered a light supper on our return to the property after a function at Chateau de Lerse. it was the perfect way to end our stay in the peace & calm of Montismaurelli. Beautiful location overlooking Montmoreau. Our Host Hervè was exceptional. He did everything to be sure we were comfortable. Breakfast every morning was included with homemade jam from fruit from his garden, which we took on the terrace. This is a very special place and we hope to return.
