The food was excellent ,We popped in on the way to are Avent as we new how good the breakfasts are and we wear not disappointed .We had pizza for the evening meal and that was also excellent .All the staff are wonderful we were there on probably the busiest day of the week and thay where all lovely without exception .

I work as a cleaner for a living so probably I notice things more. The bathroom mirror had fingerprints all over it and there was also noticeable dust on the coffee machine and on a little shelf beside the sofa .It's a shame as everything else was just right . As I sead I clean for a living so most people will have not spotted this .

Quirky lodgings which are set back from a lovely pub and restaurant. I had a fun stay and the room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities that I needed (towels, soap, wifi, desk and even a sofa area with tv to relax in the evening). I will definitely stay again when I’m in the area, and it would be nice to make a weekend of it next time!

My only slight criticism and it’s more constructive than anything; I wasn’t given much information at check in, details about dining in the restaurant, dinner, breakfast etc would have been helpful. However, all members of staff were extremely friendly throughout my stay, just a little bit of extra info would be nice :)

Lovely warm welcome by the staff. We booked three rooms for a wedding. They had a cosy feel yet were spacious. You could even Bluetooth your music to the speakers in the room which was lovely. Not too far to grab breakfast - plenty of choice. We also had a great dinner on the first night and a variety of cocktails which were all good. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of parking space.

Quirky rooms! And the proximity to the pub and restaurant worked well for us! The staff were all amazing! We stayed 2 nights so hit to know them! Very friendly and helpful!

The only negative was on Sunday afternoon the kids from the pub garden kept venturing into the area of the rooms and being mischievous! Parents not paying attention, was a little annoying when we were away without the kids! But was ok in the end as the garden cleared!

A delightful place to eat and sleep and very very popular with the locals. Such a different concept for a B&B. Absolutely delightful. The staff, everyone of them were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Always a smile.

Sadly, a few little gripes. The flooring in our little potting shed really did need some attention. Although not dirty, the floors were very stained There was a lack of toiletries, only wash products were provided. Most of all, be aware, no shaver/toothbrush points available. Most unusual! And though I do think it was a genuine error our room was not serviced, but help soon arrived with replenishments of coffee, cups, glasses etc

Fantastic staff that were friendly and helpful. Lovely room which was more luxurious than standard hotels, very family orientated. Loved the botanical shack to have a private or romantic dinner

As it was very family orientated it was hard to get away from kids(we were having a child free night) Kids were running up and down in front of the rooms but they did stop when the restaurant quietened down(about 9pm) No fault of the staff, it was the parents that didn't seem to supervise or care what their children were doing

The staff were so accommodating, allowed us to check in early and were exceptionally friendly. The room was a lot nicer than I expected and was really clean and cosy. It had that clamping, cabin feel but really high end. Little details like usb plugs, lit up mirrors and electric waterfall shower heads were appreciated. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was enormous! Loads of parking space. The food was also brilliant - like next level. We were still there as the kitchen closed and we’re really impressed watching the staff clean the kitchen. They were scrubbing hoods, walls, counters - I’d feel comfortable eating food that had fallen on the floor there 😅

Not having a door on the en-suite toilet wasn’t my favourite but I think that was all. There was at least a curtain. I don’t think there’s anything else

The rooms were lovely - almost hobbit-like from the outside but very spacious inside. Huge bathroom with excellent shower. All very stylish but comfortable.

It would have been handy to have some towel hooks/rails to hang the towels after use. I would also recommend taking slippers as the floor is cold - polished concrete I think with some rugs.

Lovely accommodation tucked away from the main pub, set back from the garden area.

Nothing we didn't like, just a suggestion - a meal deal type solution to include breakfast. Make the TV accessible viewing from the bed area (easily enough done using an arm that it can come out from the wall on) these 2 things would make great enhancements to already lovely accommodation

Booked this at very short notice and really glad we stayed here. Comfortable and reasonably large room with unusual wood panel decoration. Comfortable seating area with settee. The room was open plan which we quite liked. The restaurant menu was interesting and varied and the quality of the food was excellent. We had the lamb which was excellent. The restaurant is large and open plan with many tables and a large glassed wall that presumable could be opened up in the Summer. Many outdoor tables suggest this is a very busy place in the summer. It was clear that a lot of time and money had been spent and the result is interesting and good value. All the staff we encountered were friendly and efficient.

We were unlucky to be sitting next to a group of mums with screaming children and babies at dinner. Not ideal for a quiet evening but stuff happens and didn't really spoil our night. It looks like a venue that will attract family dinners and might not be the place for a romantic night out. There was a large TV in the room which unfortunately didn't work. It was a shame but not a major problem.
