You would never know you were in the middle of maidstone !! It was beautiful inside, lovely nooks and crannies, plenty of seating.

It would be good to have a lay out of the house, just a map by the front entrance- finding the bedroom was quite a challenge- as there is two staircases- we also, on the last day found the bar .... so knowing there was one would have been nice. Maybe a continental breakfast would be an option. Having to go out on a Sunday was challenging as we are early birds, but the only place to get food was wetherspoons , which is not our thing !!

We loved the easy self check in. This was described simply and very easy to do. We loved the decor throughout the whole house. Very calm atmosphere, nice music. Our bedroom and bathroom were beautiful. So much character. Our bed was comfortable. I like the attention to detail knowing the room we were staying in gets warm, by the fact they provided a blanket instead of a big duvet, we arrived to windows open to let in the cool breeze and a fan was set up. As it is an older building and right on top on the main road, you can hear traffic. However, we slept peacefully as the new windows installed over the old ones dulled the noise. Literally a 5 minute walk to the town and 1 minute to the multistorey car park. Great value for money, and we'll definitely return. The owners were very easy to get hold of when I accidently used the wrong pass to unlock our bedroom door. They also checked in on us during our stay by text, which I think was a nice touch.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. We love the tea and coffee facilities, we think a bottle of water would be a great addition, however there is an off-licence literally 1 minute away where we bought a big bottle, so not the end of the world. Thank you so much for our luxury, otherworldly stay!!!

I stayed at Stone Court House for three nights and had a truly memorable experience. The hotel perfectly blends historic charm with modern comfort. The building itself is stunning — full of character, with beautifully preserved period details like original fireplaces and elegant wooden beams. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated. I especially loved the luxurious bathtub and the incredibly comfortable bed. It was quiet and peaceful, despite being right in the center of Maidstone. The self check-in system worked smoothly, and the communication with staff was easy and professional. Although there’s no on-site restaurant, plenty of great cafes and pubs are just a short walk away. I highly recommend Stone Court House to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing stay with a touch of history. I’d definitely return!

Everything was great

My girlfriend Kate and I had a wonderful overnight stay in the Judge Kay room. The entry system worked perfectly, the room was immaculate with an extremely comfortable four poster bed and fireplace if required. The whole building is fascinating with all of it’s architecture and history. This is truly oceans above your ordinary chain hotel. Saban was the perfect host with lots of assistance on places to go and see. He also at the end of our stay gave us a tour of their newly opened wedding venue plus ballroom and function room. Thank you so much for such a relaxing and memorable stay Saban, we will definitely be returning and have made a new friend. Our very best wishes Don and Kate

Room and hotel were fabulous and host was very friendly. Gorgeous bathroom! Whoever designed the interior decor of this hotel is inspired. It's a listed early eighteenth century building sensitively restored with art and antiques. We loved the 4 poster bed and felt like we were staying in a National Trust property! We were nonetheless welcomed as if it was home. Fantastic.

Bookings.com said there was a terrace with the room. There are no terraces at this hotel. I wanted a terrace as I am a smoker. However there was a beautiful courtyard with a lovely fountain and very friendly resident cat! I smoked happily there. Also this hotel is a dream, but Maidstone unfortunately isn't.

Stone Court House is an amazing place to stay! It's a cultural and historic experience, as well as being incredibly comfortable. The bed was amazing, soft, plump, cosy pillows and duvet, everything impeccably clean, and beautiful. It was also beautifully warm, which is unusual for big rooms and old houses

The only thing that wasn't ok for me was the internet kept dropping, which meant I lost a work meeting (and I couldn't watch the football either!) Therefore, unless there is much better reception in other rooms, I wouldn't be able to stay if I need to work online whilst there (or watch something specific on TV as not possible to stream either)

Location is central, car park 2 minutes walk. As you enter from the busy road, you step into a completely different world - of charm, style amd intrigue. The accommodation is full of character and tastefully decorated throughout. On our first night it was -5C outside, and it felt cold in our room. I called Saban, who promptly brought an extra heater up, so we were comfortable. The bed and bedding were super cozy, and being a bath person, I adored the free standing bath.

I'm a light sleeper, and although we were on the 2nd floor, and our room window opened to the side, I was disturbed by the morning traffic. There are earplugs provided in the drawer of the bedside table.

I loved every second of this experience. We was greeted by the owner, Adam, who was the most gracious host in my life. So friendly and made us feel so at home. The whole place is stunning. We spent an hour just looking at the art and trinkets. Several places to sit and relax all over. The room we had was absolutely stunning. Every aspect has been so well thought out and executed. The bathroom is just beyond wonderful. I genuinely don't have the superlatives to describe how lovely the whole experience is. Adam and the team. Thank you so much from Sean & Sarah xx

Everything is perfect

The pictures don't do this guesthouse justice. This is a period property, dating from medieval times that was fully restored over several years from 2019 so essentially everything is new. It is easy to find and there is parking in a multistorey car park across the road. There are tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. The Italian restaurant next door is top class too. I'd recommend 100%.

As it is so central, noise can be an issue however the owners provide ear plugs for those who dont have their own and they do a great job.

Lovely historical building. The bedroom was charming with a four poster bed and a very nice bathroom.

The bed was small for 2 people but in fairness I did book the cheapest room. No shelf in the shower to put toiletries on and the shower too small to bend down to pick them up off the floor. Also a lot of instructions from the management to get in and rules etc in as there are no staff on site which I found a bit irritating. Would have preferred a top sheet on the bed instead of only a blanket.
