We loved the room, the bed was very comfortable and the gardens were very nice to walk around. The entertainment in the pub was a lot of fun. The staff were attentive and helpful.

Breakfast on the last day of our stay was really bad, the order was eggs over medium, with sausage. It arrived with runny eggs and undercooked sausage so not edible. The meal was taken away and returned again, as a retired chef I was appalled to see that it was not a new meal, the eggs that were broken open when taken away were just flipped and solid, even worse the sausage had been cut open lengthwise and burnt and running with grease. Totally inedible and a bad ending to our stay.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The two waitresses who looked after us at the Pub in the evening and at breakfast were excellent. Our room was a nice size with all the amenities. Breakfast was included and the menu had a great selection to choose from. The grounds are beautiful with a garden and gazebo. They have live music in the Pub which was excellent. It was the first stay for my partner and I at The Waring House and the reason we went was to see the singer Cathy Hutch who was performing there. We would definitely go back again.

We stayed in one of the separate buildings on the property, not in the main house. Lots of parking! Very much appreciated the room upgrade when larger bed we requested for our initial room was not available. Room was spacious and very clean, and we really enjoyed having our own balcony. Variety on breakfast menu was great, and very hearty. Restaurant windows overlooked the beautiful garden. Service excellent. Loved the spacious grounds and opportunity to walk and see the gardens, etc. Walking trail just behind our building, and great for my husband, who is a runner. Excellent location between towns in the County. Really enjoyed having the cosy pub restaurant onsite and the live music. Would definitely stay again!

Such a picky thing, but maybe a variety of teas in the room for those of us who aren't coffee drinkers :)

Dining room staff were always helpful and smiling - even when having to rush. Our suite was clean when we arrived, and we only asked for additional shampoo etc. while we were there,, which were provided promptly. Location is excellent. Quiet, but close to major County roads. Beautiful gardens. Enjoyed the birds using the feeders.

Ice machine in our building didn't work, and there was a freezer in place - but no ice in it. Maybe part of the problem of not having enough staff to deliver ice? Would have thought there were would have been more inventive and varied items on the dinner menu. Quite fine to have burgers and fish & chips for the pub - but for "fine dining' the choices were limited - and the high-priced ones were REALLY high priced.

Breakfasts were very good, staff was very friendly, location is very convenient and your place all over around is just nice.

Our room was really dark even with all lights on, some electrical outputs didn't work, bathtub was not really secure to use because it doesn't have any handles to support you during get in/out; glass door for bathtub sounds during trying to move it like it was going to split-up; air conditioner is very noisy.

Breakfast, dinner - superb! Evening in the bar - outstanding entertainment! Closeness to Picton. Lovely walks around the property.

I rarely get to say this in a hotel review - The Waring House is above and beyond. Absolutely nothing not to like. A real find for a getaway trip! BTW, I am from Vancouver and was there with a Toronto friend who was also new to the hotel. We have been talking up the experience to everyone we meet!

The location of the property is close to all the major attractions in the area. I liked the greenery at the site. The breakfast was good with lot of options to choose from. The restaurant/pub has got a nice ambience. Overall, the experience was good.

The room was smaller than expected. There was only one small window for ventilation. No refrigerator was there in the room.

The location was great for what we were doing. The property is in great shape and was clean. They have a breakfast that was included, which was excellent. It's an older accommodation, but because of this, it has charm and character for days.

I found it difficult to communicate with reception to confirm my booking directly through the hotel itself, and the staff at reception weren't overly friendly just there, doing their job. Same at checkout. This didn't hinder our stay though as we had minimal interaction with them.

Great breakfasts included! Lunch on arrival was very good too. Our room was large + enjoyed the king bed. All Staff were friendly. We loved the pub + appreciated the music + tvs to watch the baseball game!

Our friends were in another building and walking across parking lot at night did not feel safe when cars drove in. Would like more lights and a walking path. There are no shower caps in bathrooms. The maid threw mine out + it was difficult keeping my hair dry.when I showered.

Coffee was good. My pancakes were good. The omelette and French toast looked great. Only the person who had sausages, didn’t like them.

The staff at breakfast made us nervous. V rushed taking our order. Still, very generous with refills of coffee. The common area of the building we stayed in looked a bit like a funeral parlour. Because we didn’t hang out at all, despite the rain, it mattered less. In comparison, the gardens looked amazing. Too wet to enjoy those.
