I love how quiet it was, even considering it is off a main road. The view was incredible, staff so nice and helpful. It was just 2 of us, so it was a perfect size :) Had all necessary amenities.

Our cabin was a little musty, I know this is bound to happen in a wood cabin, but I am highly allergic to mildew and mold, so it was a little much for me. But I sprayed some air cleaner and it helped.

Our cottage was nice place and spacious. It had everything that we needed.

There was a group of people who monopolized the firepit and the dock area, so we could never use it. Just the timing of when we were there. The website could be improved and have interior pictures available. Also, the prices should be listed.

We had an awesome week in the studio cottage #1 August 26-31.. weather was excellent, sunsets were absolutely beautiful.. the cottage was exactly what we expected and loved the privacy and coziness being right in the water.. loved it so much we have booked another 2 weeks for next year 👍

Staff was incredibly helpful, friendly. It was a beautiful location & nice cottages.

Pool was out of order due to liner needing to be replaced. Also not easy access for swimming, no beach just boat launch & boat docks.

Stayed in cabin #7 in Sep 2022; it was clean and the kitchenette was well equipped with appliances and utensils. The cabin and deck had a terrific view of the water, and a lovely view of the water.

High room rate... and this isn't a dig at the Merland specifically but to all of Picton and area accommodations... overpriced! Not sure I'd stay there again.

The staff that greeted us were amazing and the cottages are adorable! Lots of wildlife along the shore, very luck to have beautiful weather so we were able to enjoy the little patio and bbq

Lovely view from the dock and fun campfire in the evening. We enjoyed our own breakfast each morning on our deck facing the water. The shared kitchen worked out fine.

The cottage would be more attractive if the outside was hosed down. I did encounter 3 spiders and an ant inside.

Really liked the kitchen aside from our « motel » bedroom with the table outside, very useful for our family. There is a very nice deck in front of the lake and a fire pit. Lots of things are available but didn’t stay long enough to try (paddle, canoe...) so I hope to come back to try again. There was a family réunion at the same time but the music was not so loud, and the other customers were also friendly and quiet. My son LOVED the soccer table 😄

The spiders outside Ahahah!!! But we are in the nature so I know this is ridiculous 😄

Beautiful sunset and nice owner. Also has biggest fish in there.

We liked the location of the place. Only 20 min from sandbanks beach and in the lovely village of Picton. The place was overall good. We stayed at the motel room #15. It was clean, well equipped. There’s a little shared kitchen outside for the 3 hotel rooms. It is fully equipped and very clean. That was really nice to have.

It was an old construction and some of the things need to be replaced. The bed was really old and not confortable and the sheets were very used as well. They had stains and were just very old. Other than that, for a motel room it was clean as I said.
