The location was perfect. On arrival, I was welcomed and when I asked about where to park my car I was told that there was a charge to park at the back of the hotel but that there was a car park on the beach green for a much smaller fee. I had a sea view and I could see my car from my window. The room was clean, tidy and beautiful. A double bed with plenty of pillows and a throw too. Two comfortable armchairs and a small table by the window to relax with a cuppa. All the usual tea making facilities were there, a tv and a shower en suite making it very good value for money. They have a pub downstairs and everyone was courteous and polite. I enjoyed the karaoke night on Friday..the first night of my stay. It was on the main road so I easily able to get to where I needed to go during my stay and there are some great food places here..the Perch Cafe on the beach serves lovely food as did the Greek place down the road Meze Meze. The hotel had a bistro eatery but I didn't partake on this occasion. It was quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this hotel as long as you can manage stairs.
The stairs lol. I am a big woman so the stairs were a bit steep for me, but it was worth it for the view that I had in the room.

We were greeted when we arrived and shown to our room which was personal and great service. The room was warm, comfortable, a great size and had lovely views of the sea from the bay window, which had a great seating area to admire it from. Bathroom was compact but had everything that was needed, including cute free toiletries that were welcome. We had two single beds thankfully, which was what we had requested - (surprising how many times places promise but don't deliver this) so we were very grateful as I was sharing this room with my teenage son. Evening meal in the downstairs restaurant was served quickly and was lovely too. A tip for parking at the venue - 4 spaces only charged at £12.50 - over the road, beach car park £1.50 per hour, free between hours of 8pm and 7am so perfect for us and your car can be seen from the room if you park up the right end.
Breakfast didn't start until 8.30am which was disappointing as we needed to be away for an event at 8am - this is quite late compared to most places we stay (we travel for sport) so other arrangements had to be made as it was important my son ate before competing. It might be an idea for a cold breakfast option to be offered to guests maybe?

What a Gem. We stayed for two nights as our plans had changed. The Staff were fantastic, helpful and made for a relaxing stay. They made you feel at ease and encouraged you to relax. We had room 7, an attic room. Other than the multiple stairs (We are Oldies), it was a really nice room. Everything you require is on hand, beds are really comfortable, and we both slept very well. The bathroom is very well laid out and spacious. Breakfast was excellent, and we also had lunch. We had the "Small Plate" option, three plates for £20. The plates were far from small and excellent value for money. We had the Buffalo wings, Tacos, and cheese and bacon fries, all of which tasted lovely and had great-sized portions. We will definitely be back.
Just the stairs, but we know what we had booked, and it's purely a matter of personal preference for older people. Next time we stay, we will look at one of the other rooms as we had a cheeky peek (rooms were open), and they all look really nice.

Breakfast very beautifully presented. There was a bit of a wait but the effort in presentation made up for that.
Just 2 small points -first coffee fine - when I requested a second coffee (Americano with cold oat milk) the person serving put the milk in , then brought the coffee- would have preferred to do this myself as not a fan of milky coffee and there was too much milk.i didn’t want to say as everything else was lovely. Secondly there were lots of tables free but I was told where to sit- was very close to table of four - impossible not to hear every moment of conversation and it was a bit intrusive. Probably for them too.

An independent hotel with a nice atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, good sized rooms and a good location with sea views. Beds are king size and comfortable. We had a top floor room in the eaves, but plenty of room still and good views along the coast with a good sized en-suite with shower. The bar had a nice atmosphere in the evening, we didn't eat there as visiting relatives.
As next to a main road there is traffic noise until late evening but it wasn't intrusive. Parking is limited and tight for space in a large car, reserve in advance. There is free on road parking around but it's busy so probably a short walk away, or a large paid car park across the road on the green.

Lovely little hotel. Friendly staff and very clean. Everything you could possibly need. The bed was comfortable and a lovely view of the beach from the top room.
Could hear traffic and birds during the night and early morning, but only if you're quite a light sleeper. Some traffic users couldn't help but use their horns a couple of times in the night, guessing at a roundabout. Not really the hotel's fault. Parked on the road behind the hotel and cut through the alley, which saved £12 for parking at the hotel.

Lovely big room with sea view. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We felt like valued customers. Breakfast was really good, we both had the full English which was delicious A+ ! Comfortable and quiet stay, we would happily stay again. Thankyou.
Small things like glasses/water jug in the room would have been expected, really if no bottled water is available ( we totally understand about maybe not wanting to provide single use plastic) Kettle also didn't fit under the tap!

The room was spacious and clean, staff were all lovely and the sea view was great. I was due an operation nearby the morning after my stay and had crutches with me in readiness. I advised the lady that I would be ok with stairs but she still moved me from a third floor room to a first floor room which I thought was a really kind gesture. I had a lovely evening meal during my stay too. Unfortunately I'd not be able to rate breakfasts as I wasn't allowed to eat.

We liked everything about the property, especially the location and the sea view form the window. We managed to park on the street for an overnight stay. Street parking could be challenging but the hotel has their own parking with a significant fee.
Nothing to do with the accommodation but the restaurant service was not up to the mark. We waited nearly two hours to receive a meal. With a toddler it was a bit chaotic and stressful.

Great location, opposite the beach and within walking distance to the station and village centre. Friendly and helpful staff who made us feel really welcome. Huge beer garden - we look forward to our next visit!
Traffic noise is inevitable especially when having to open the windows in hot weather. We found the pillows a little lumpy and uncomfortable but everything else was excellent.
