Great retreat shortly outside of Bozen, in the village of Laives. Convenient buses and road connection to airport and Bozen downtown, which are just few minutes drive away. Steiner hosts both a hotel and a camping site, with two restaurants (one gourmet-style for hotel guests, one more typical for camping guests). The camping area is very clean and well strutured too. No confusion around. Spacious hotel rooms, with huge bathroom and 3x walk-in shower and balcony. Great breakfast with eggs made to order. The terrace restaurant and the pools are amazing treats to recover from the summer heat. I adored them.

Street in front of rooms located along the fronside of the building. So the balcony was not really pleasant to be used. Nevertheless, no noise could be heard inside the room once the windows were closed. Gourmet-style restaurant for hotel guests is too expensive.

The hotel is nice and clean, good food, very good breakfast, you can order eggs how you like.

The bed was very uncomfortable, very hard, we stayed for 2 nights, both nights couldn’t sleep. If u stay one night is ok , for longer dont book it if you love comfy beds! They have 2 pools, one outside bigger, one smaller inside. The thing is that you dont have any place because is full of children. They have a camping site and they are also allowed at the pool so is a small pool for like 80 kids, a nightmare. You can swim nicely in the very early morning or very late at night

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. We had a huge very clean modern room with a proportionately nice big bathroom with a roomy walk in shower. The room also contains a long big sofa and has a balcony with chairs & a table overlooking the street with a nice mountain view to wake up to. The bed was super comfortable and the room was nice and warm. However it lacked a black out curtain or shutters and a fair bit of street lamps light streamed through. Sound proofing against traffic noise was not adequate enough. Ear plugs & eyes mask easily solve these issues if pre- warned or book a more expensive room at the back! The open breakfast buffet was very generous with good quality products and amply varied, thus catering for most dietary requirements. We remained full the whole day! There is even an egg boiler so that people can have their eggs exactly the way they like and hot. Sergio at reception was extremely helpful with information and fun and he issued us with free electronic bus passes to and from Bolzano. The bus stop is across the road to the left and the bus terminates in the town centre which really is so handy without the headache and cost of finding parking. The ride is under 30 mins depending on the time. The 'curfew' between 22.00 & 07.00 mentioned under 'policy' is actually about when the reception is closed, but guests can let themselves in through the back door with their room keys. Finally free parking at the hotel was easy, just drive through to the right of the hotel and park at any empty space. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, bringing an eye mask & ear plugs if booking a cheaper street view room!

Comfortable and clean hotel, great breakfast, nice facilities such as swimming pool, restaurant, shop. The staff is very friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would come back.

The swimming pool isn't supervised, but perhaps should be because some guests let their children behave like savages and bother people in the pool.

The hotel offers an exceptional breakfast experience, complemented by immaculate cleanliness and efficient management. While the staff demonstrated notable friendliness, minor oversights occurred, promptly rectified upon my notification. Additionally, the hotel boasts a charming restaurant, expansive pool facilities, and picturesque surroundings, enhancing the overall guest experience. Bolzano is available with a free public transportation. (±40 mins trip to city center) or with a car (much faster)

Two observations: Firstly, while the street outside is relatively quiet, the interior of the premises is notably noisy even with the windows closed. Secondly, during my stay in March, I found the absence of effective air conditioning surprising, especially when necessitated by closed windows. The room temperature was uncomfortably warm, and attempts to adjust the climate control were unsuccessful.

Love the place, nice rooms, love the soap. The breakfast is great.

The process of coming back to the room during late nights was quite complicated. Location is pretty nice but it's slightly outskirts of bolzano. Ac was a bit weak, didn't work that well.

Great hotel with nice and spacy rooms with balcony, we had a nice view on the garden and pool. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful, the restaurant is good and the breakfast is really top with a great choice and quality. For our daily trips, the hotel was also very well located.

Nothing to mention

We were there with my wife and our little baby, so we could not go to dinner to the restaurant together (one of us had to take care of the baby), but the staff provided us a litlle cart on which I could take dinner and drinks to our room. They were super-nice and always willing to help! The breakfast was amazing, wide variety of food, drinks and sweets, a really fabulous breakfast!

I have no critique. All was perfect.

Very clean, great staff, good food (both at the hotel restaurant and the camping restaurant, but the one in the hotel is better, with more of a fine dining experience) if I come back to Bolzano area I will stay again at Steiner.

The only thing I didn't like was the pillow, it was to big and really uncomfortable the first night but I got used to it
