I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Lewald. The location in the southern part of Bolzano is convenient, especially if you’re traveling by car—being able to move around independently was a real plus. The underground garage was a great feature, safe and easy to access. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a well-equipped and equally spacious bathroom. Breakfast was discreet but of good quality—limited options, but everything fresh and well-prepared. I particularly enjoyed the garden area, ideal for sunbathing, and the outdoor swimming pool, which is not in-ground but an above-ground structure—still a pleasant spot to cool off. The hydromassage area next to it was a lovely addition—relaxing and well maintained. I didn’t use the spa as it follows a nudist policy, which is not within my habits, but everything else made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

One of the best sauna areas I have seen. Nice hot sauna and steam room with spacious relaxation area, tea and towels provided. Room was good too. I received a bus ticket for free travel in Bolzano. Location is a little further out, but you should be aware of this when booking. There were a couple of pretty good casual restaurants and shops available in the area. Breakfast was great. Staff was very good - the man at reception was on a phone call when I entered and immediately excused himself to attend to me (which I don't expect, but it was nice).

Absolutely loved this hotel - we were a Scottish couple touring with motorcycles and arrived mega early and didn't expect to get our room until much later- however staff (dad) were happy to show us to secure underground parking which was only a few metres up along the road. The parking took us to a lift back up to the hotel which was great - staff booked us into the hotel early- not sure of it was our room or not but very grateful for whatever we got! Staff very accommodating as we were offered fresh fruit and a cocktail as we lay at the pool. No food on that evening but staff gave us recommendations of good restaurants around - we went for pizza 😁. Had a lovely breakfast next morning. No complaints here - hotel was gorgeous as it was nestled at thd bottom of the mountains the rooms had flowered balconies making it very pretty - staff attentive and couldnt have done any more for us. The rooms were clean and spacious. This was a gem to find ..had a lovely stay albeit only for 1 night. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again 💕

Hotel Lewald exceeded our expectations. We used Bolzano as a launch point for our 3 days of exploring the Dolamites. Check in was a breeze. Christian and his mom (the 4th generation owners) were beyond gracious and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. We were provided a complimentary cocktail and aperitif every afternoon at the pool, which was clean and refreshing on hot afternoons. We were also presented with free public transportation tickets, although we didn’t use them because we had a car. Recommendations for restaurants that were not touristy and were close to the hotel were terrific. Although the airport is within walking distance to the airport we never heard a plane once. The wellness center was an unexpected bonus and we used it every single day. Heaven!! Breakfast was great and to my pleasant surprise they had gluten free options!! Cocktails were delicious and strong. We would stay again in a heartbeat and highly recommend!!

Perfect restaurant in the suburb of Bolzano, 2 mins from bus station. Very convenient for transportation. Hotel supplies the Guest Pass with free transportation to most of the destinations amongst the regions. The sauna at the basement is also very relaxing. Very helpful staff, support quickly for any of the guests needs or requests.

Hotel is close to the road, if your the room window is facing the road, it can be a nit noisy.

Excellent facilities, friendly staff that go out of their way to help and look after you, beautiful view of the mountains from many rooms, great buffet breakfast in the mornings with everything you need, plus they given you a travel ticket when you check in to use on buses, trains and cable cars in Bolzano and up to the mountains for the duration of your stay which was an unexpected bonus!

No negatives!

The breakfast had a varied selection and was well prepared. The setting of the breakfast room was lovely too, we really loved the greenhouse and Christmas decorations. The courtyard of the hotel was beautifully decorated. The garage was easily accessible. Kudos to the hotel staff, they were so kind to immediately give us a free public transport pass around Bolzano upon our check-in. Although the hotel is not within walking distance to the center, with the help of public transport, we did not feel it.

Аs tall people, my partner and I found it difficult to function in our attic room. It was almost impossible to shower in the bathtub in the toilet, as well. We missed a kettle in our room. Complimentary bottles of water would also be nice to be provided.

Great hotel to stay in Bolzano. Great underground parking with automatic door to get in. Great breakfast with great variety of things and fabulous coffees. The very best are the host and owners Johanna and Monica thanks for a great stay. The only thing I missed was a minibar Ten minutes drive from the city center

We reserved a room at this hotel for its location. We were planning to take day trips to the mountains and thought it would be nice to be outside the town of Bolzano. So it was perfect for that reason. Our room had a balcony and was lovely. The manager helped us find two restaurants and it was very nice. The breakfast coffee was nice and that is all I had for breakfast so I don't know if the rest of it was o.k.

We also reserved a room here months ago because the restaurant was supposed to be open in July and closed in September. Unfortunately, it was closed for the month of July. So we had to scramble to find places to eat and there were very few in the neighborhood. We ended up eating two meals at restaurants and not eating dinner for the other three nights we were there. We just had drinks and chips at a nearby bar. So that was a shame! It was too much trouble to drive into Bolzano for a restaurant after our mountain trips.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, always making us feel welcome. The breakfasts were delicious, and the coffee was excellent. We especially loved the beautiful garden and the friendly cats that made the atmosphere even more charming. A perfect place to relax.
