While I have noticed some negative reviews particularly about the restaurant and being myself quite picky, I paid a bit of attention and I had a really good experience. The location of the hotel is quite nice with beautiful panoramic views of the lake from most balconies. The rooms are functional although some kind of a desk would have been appreciated. Internet is through SpaceX and a bit bumpy, but in my experience the orange mobile network was great, so things were fine. We used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. We avoided the contentious by weight dishes, but everything we had was cooked really well to the point that it became he good standard for the rest of the trip. Good cocktails too. I was really impressed by the restaurant staff which was mostly well educated, friendly students working during their summer vacation. Very diligent and competent.

The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great. Open buffet with various Moldavian meats (sausages, cold cuts, fried pork fat, meat balls (pârjoale) and even the famous national Romanian dish - cabbage leaves stuffed with minced meat(sarmale)!), fresh and fermented cheeses, but also vegetables, baked eggplant with chopped onion and a delicious champignons bell pepper paste (zacuscă de hribi). They serve Julius Meinl tea and coffee. The restaurant serves also fresh trout from the local trout farm, cooked in various ways (fried, grilled). The outdoor rustic jacuzzi (ciubăr) and the sauna are awesome. Make sure you book them in advance. They are available for a small fee. The location is fantastic, right on the shore of Bicaz lake and adjacent to a fir tree forrest. Quiet and picturesque. Boat tours are also available. Be very careful, the lake waters are very cold in all seasons and have swift currents, it is strongly recommended to avoid swimming in it, even if you are an excellent swimmer and you plan to only do it near the shore. (There have been fatalities.)

The mattress felt a bit like a water bed, but that may be perceived as a positive by some.

The location is outstanding. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathroom - lots of towels and toiletries, with a cool hydro jet shower. Large balconies with chairs overlooking Bicaz Lake. The spa, although extra-cost, is a very nice thing to experience.

The rooms do not have a table nor a coffee maker. A little inconvenience - in the two bedroom apartments access to the bathroom is through one of the bedrooms, which is not really comfortable but not too bad either.

Lovely views over the lake. New hotel. Good restaurant though the breakfast choices weren't suited to English travellers. Good option for people visiting the magnificent Bicav gorge.

Worth the price. I booked a room with a balcony facing the mountains and Lake Bicaz. The room was well sized and the bed was comfortable. The view is beautiful and the location is relaxing. I also enjoyed eating mămăligă with steak for dinner. I stayed during winter I am not aware of how the experience is during the other seasons but I would love to come back during autumn too.

Beautiful location. Tasty food. Helpful staff. Big balcony with lake and forest view. We enjoyed the sauna and ciubar as well at a reduced price because hydromasssage option was not working.

There was an issue with the shower cabin drainage, we had a room for 4 and at the time last person had a shower the water came to the threshold of the room. A kettle for tea would be a great addition to rooms comfort.

It’s my 3rd time here and I absolutely love the location. Perfect placement on the lake, nice rooms, quiet, food at the restaurant downstairs was even better than I remembered. They have improved the complex a lot in the past years and while it’s a bit more expensive then before, I think it’s worth the money. They’ve also expanded and improved the parking lot.

None of the three of us could see the wifi on any of the phones and the tvs are barely working (poor signal I assume). Considering there’s not much to do in the evening in the area, it would have been useful to be able to use the internet or watch tv. The shower wasn’t draining very well so it kept filling up (not really a problem, but maybe something that can be checked).

Location and the nice view from the terrace. Plus facilities like the common hut tub on the terrace and shower with music in the room.

I would recommend to have some flyers and/or more concrete tips for guests in terms of activities and hikes in the region. Yes, we can Google it, but a complex with such great location, it would be great to get some good info and maps from the staff. Also a bit more flexibility and resourcefulness when it comes to arranging simple take-away breakfast earlier than the scheduled starting time would have been also appreciated. Having said this the staff was friendly and polite, hence this note to perhaps enhance even more the service quality.

Good large parking, perfect location, comfortable bed, quiet at night, modern furnished room!! The room looks very nice. We stayed for one night with our dog.

Unfortunately, the room had a shower box that was too complicated to operate and not ideal for a tall person. Instructions would be helpful.

The location was very nice,just on the lake. Very clean and warm. Delicious breakfast with good variety of food. Big parking.

The wifi didn't work on the 3rd floor all time and there was a weird smell in the room from bathroom. The personnel wasn't so welcoming and barely spoke english. No elevator, prepare to carry bags to the top yourself.
