The place is simply superb. Located in the centre of Péronne, a small town that was lucky to escape much of the destruction of WW1, it offers excellent and clean rooms, and even breakfast was included (my twin room with breakfast was €62 for the two of us, unbeatable). The staff was friendly and helpful. The inn is an excellent base to explore the surrounding 1914-1918 battlefields and the outstanding museum "Historial de la Grande Guerre", a must, is only a 5 minute walk away.

Great location by old walls. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good continental breakfast. For a “hostel” this is at the high end. Impressive!

Check-in was supposed to open at 3pm. No one appeared to unlock the door until 3.15pm so another couple and I were waiting outside. But once the staff arrived they were great!

I travelled on business to Peronne and stayed at Auberge des Remparts for a few nights. It was a perfect choice. My room was tidy, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel offers some exceptional solutions: a fully equipped kitchen for all hotel guests and a room for everyone on the ground floor where you can play board games, watch TV, or enjoy yourself.

I had not realised there were not blankets (I have a sleeping bag liner). I think it was too late to find anyone to ask if there are any, perhaps for a fee, by the time I tried. Luckily not a cold night.

Good choice, good standard (newly fitted), clean, nice service accountants. Shared kitchen additionally available.

I didn't get the room with the garden view as I booked. Very small and simple breakfast.

The room is simple but sufficiently equipped, showers and toilet are with the room. Staff is always helpfull. Hotel is clean and very close to the city center, only about 500 meters away from the old fortress with museum. Behind the hotel is a nice park. Breakfast is fine with Baguette, various sorts of marmelade, cereals, yogurt, fruits and coffee/chocolate from the machine. Guest kitchen is well equipped with pots and cuttlery. Wifi works good. I can highly recommend this place. Thanks to the staff for making my stay so enjoyable! :-)

Have nothing to complain about, everything was fine for me.

Good value for a quick stopover en route to Calais. It would be even better value for families as the rooms sleep 4. It's, as its name suggests, a hostel than a hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Simple but adequate breakfast. Nice and clean.

Creaky beds. Rather strange smell pervading the place but think it was cleaning materials.

Beautiful building and 5 mins walk to the town centre, guy on reception was fantastic and very helpful especially by letting us park our motorcycles in a very safe spot, room was huge and the shower great, amazing value and a good simple breakfast for free, I would definitely stay here again, as some other reviews have said there is a certain hospital smell in the hotel, however at least you are sure it's clean

We bought a beer from the hotel bar around 20:00 and were shown to a lovely beer garden, when we went to get another beer about 30mins later and the bar was closed and locked, it's a pity the staff didn't tell the bar closed so early or we could have bought another beer at the start

Incredibly helpful and welcoming staff. And a very good breakfast included in the price!

It would have been nice if the rooms had hairdryers - not optional for people with long hair.

Ideal stop-over for one night. Lots of small, affordable restaurants very close to the hotel. After dinner, take a stroll around the old fortifications of this cute northern French town. Although we had a room to the street, we could sleep with open windows. Room was functional with everything necessary for one night.
