8, my rating, is the average of a 9 for the objective experience and a 7 for my personal, subjective experience. Charming Location: The bamboo huts nestled in the forest create a nice atmosphere Cleanliness: The rooms and bathrooms were clean, especially noteworthy given the forest setting. Nice Pool: The pool offers beautiful views and is a perfect place to relax. Good Food: The restaurant serves tasty meals. Helpful Staff: The team is very accommodating, assisting with organizing transfers and excursions. Good Value for Money: The overall experience is good for the price (excluding the cost of food).

No Air Conditioning: Understandable in bamboo huts, but worth noting for hotter days. Expensive Restaurant: While the food is good, it’s priced steeply for Filipino standards, with smaller portions. With no alternative dining options in the area, one might feel the pricing strategy is slightly exploitative. Payment Limitations: Payments can only be made in cash, via PayPal, or Wise. PayPal fees, which are quite high, must be covered by the guest. Overly Strict Owner: While enforcing rules is reasonable, the owner’s rigidity went beyond what I’d consider fair or practical in my specific case.

This place is amazing! If you're looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful to relax, then this is it. The infinity pool is beautiful (and cleaned daily), and the view is incredible. The gardens are very cute, and its great that all of the cabins are made from sustainable materials. They run pretty much off grid with solar power, so it's not just "Eco" in name. They also grow most of their own vegetable which is great. I was a bit worried by the other reviews mentioning the high price of the food, but having tried it, I totally get it. It's actually not so high if you consider the quality of the food (very good cooks!) and the fact its all organic and either grown onsite or locally sourced. I would just say that there really are no other options nearby, so you have to eat all meals here, so because of that it might not be an option to stay here if you are travelling on a very tight budget. All in all though, I would highly recommend!

We booked the smallest cabin, which really is small. Not a lot of room around the double bed. But the bigger cabins looked very spacious, so maybe would have been a better option.

the lodge is built with care and love. It's a beautiful surrounding overall. The swimming pool view is stunning. Even during the rain season, I still found it's really nice to swim in in the high humidity weather. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived and after we left, they have always been very patient and attentive at answering our questions. It's a relatively remote location. There is a small town with a ocean view about 1.5 kms away. Besides that, you should look after your own comfort and leisure. The food there is more western appetize.

It's not something I don't like. But please bear in mind, it's a eco friendly hotel, so a lot "creatures" are on the same land living with you. Expect insects in the room and mosqitos net may not be useful. I found food bit pricey and since there is almost nothing around, so that's part of the accommodation fee (and breakfast is not included).

LOST FOR WORDS. Just the most magical accommodation in the jungle, and the photos don’t even begin to do it justice! The pool is just unbelievable, and I think we had the whole accommodation to ourselves the night we stayed! The staff were very nice, and the food from the restaurant was very very delicious, and they make a lot of the food from their garden at the bottom of the valley, which is a nice little walk. The restaurant/bar area by the pool is just heavenly as well and we felt like we could have sat there for a week. The room itself was very nice and was just a small hut which was great fun, and had a beautiful view of the sea and the jungle. Cannot recommend enough!!

This is a beautiful and peaceful place, great for a couple of days exploring the coast opposite to Puerto Princesa. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They assisted us with a last-minute pick-up in the city and arranged snorkeling at Isla Rita, which I recommend! They also let us plan our own trip to the underground river without pressuring us to buy a tour from them. The food is good, although a bit pricey. The room and pool area are clean. Overall, super recommended, I would definitely go back!

Everything went well. I just wish there were more Western/vegetarian-friendly options for breakfast - but this is personal taste.

Our stay at Ocean Green Eco Lodge in Sabang was truly unique, offering an authentic jungle experience. The breathtaking views and individual huts/bungalows with private bathrooms added to the charm. The fan in the room made for comfortable nights amidst the tropical heat. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and the on-site restaurant was a highlight. The chef's personal touch, friendliness, and the delicious meals made our stay even more memorable. We also visited his restaurant, Asiano, in town, which we highly recommend. For those seeking an authentic and immersive experience, Ocean Green Eco Lodge is the perfect choice.

It's important to be mindful of your expectations for an authentic experience. The accommodations are as basic, providing a true jungle immersion. However, it's worth noting that the rooms can get quite hot, and the presence of bugs and mosquitoes is common. For those seeking a genuine and raw jungle experience, Ocean Green Eco Lodge offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature.

This place is just lovely! The hut itself could be a bit more comfortable but the rest is just superb! The manager Charis went out of her way to make our stay memorable, she took us on a 2hr walk around the area and came with us to the Underground River, very early on the day, to organise our trip into the cave so we could make our flight at midday in Puerto Princesa. Food made in the restaurant on site was great too...and that pool!

Super friendly staff, manager in particular was so helpful!! From the time of booking until after I left. Food was really good. I hired a scooter from them, they listened to what I wanted to do and made really good suggestions and organised an awesome guide rather than having to do the ‘normal’ touristy things in Sabang. Swimming pool and views are amazing. The rooms are small, but they are comfy, clean and private. They have lovely views. Really good value accommodation.

Nothing.

We loved our stay at Ocean Green. The location is superb and quiet. The food is the best we have had in the Philippines (after four months of travel here), made from fresh vegetables and herbs grown in their own garden. The staff was exceedingly helpful. It felt very homely to stay there. Yes, food is a bit expensive, but I endorse it because of the extraordinarily tasty food.

Food a bit expensive, but worth it

Everything about the Ocean Green exceeded our expectations. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. The food was exceptional- so tasty and fresh. The view from our cabin was always a joy to wake up to. The organised activities were an added bonus.
