I loved this hotel. It is unassuming from the street but spreads from the road to the beach with the spa and restaurant and then on the other side of the road has the hotel rooms, a huge bar with lounge, couches and tables and then a pool with lovely statues. It has a very lovely Balinese feel to it. My initial room I was given smelt heavily of mould so I upgraded to another room and it was fresh and perfect. Not a hint of mould. The food at the restaurant was delicious. I had a 90 min massage in the room upstairs of the spa, facing the ocean. Massage was great and I enjoyed hearing the sounds of the waves while relaxing. Staff were great and free water is available for refilling bottles in the lobby. I would stay here again :)

The traditional Balinese style was beautiful, a little dated, but, still lovely. Wonderful location on the coast & easy to access local activities & venues. The staff were really beautiful, friendly & helpful. The breakfast buffet is plentiful & the restaurant has good food. They also cooked up the fish that we caught. The spa had a beautiful location right on the beach. We hired scooters to look around.

The first night a couple of hotels down on the beach had a band with fireworks, but, wasn’t an issue as it stopped at 11pm. Also, wouldn’t be suitable for those who can’t handle a few stairs.

The location is at the beachfront with black sand and near many good restaurants. The hotel has its own cheap convenient store. The room is spacious with a very large window. It is well equipped with air conditioner, fridge, electric kettle, table, and drying rack. Wifi is great. The swimming pool is big. The breakfast is superb buffet with various choices, compared to other budget accommodations in Bali. The staffs are supportive and responsive to Booking chat.

The area around the hotel is quite dark. The air conditioner is too small for the room so it takes very long time to cool the room. For a while, the water temperature cannot be adjusted and the water is too hot. The shower curtain cannot protect the floor to be flooded. The room door and bathroom door are transparent. A safety box, toothbrush, and toothpaste should be provided. Card payment is surcharged.

We were very happy to stay at Amed Cafe and Hotel Kebun Wayan. It was recommended to us by friends. We initially booked for 4 nights and extended for 3 more. The service is great, very friendly staff. One person cleaning the room every day, always asking if we need something. Don't forget the breakfast buffet!!!! A great variety of dishes, the common Indonesian food and egg of course but also bread and little extra's like cake, croissant, yogurt in little glasses!! And last but not least the view and direct access to the sea. Located between Jemeluk and Amed beaches, there is a great area for snorkeling. I forgot to mention 2 swimming pools as well. Be aware of the stairs.

It was a hidden oasis nothing from the street but once in it was lush with great pools and a lovely rooftop bar. Also their efforts to be eco friendly they have glass bottles of filtered water that you can fill up at any time from reception. More fancy expensive hotels still give only plastic bottles in room. The cafe for breakfast was right on the beach so could have a snorkel before or after breakfast! Staff always greeted with a smile

We chose a room with Seaview not realising over the street so a bit noisy at times but didn’t really bother us

This was our second 2 week stay and we enjoyed it as much as the first time a few years ago. The smorgasbord breakfast had lots of choices and was delicious. The snorkeling off the front of the hotel was excellent. The pool has beautiful surrounds was great for doing laps. Our room and bathroom were spacious and good value. It was easy to get a taxi to other attractions and easy to walk to other cafes, restaurants and shops. All the staff were always very helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

Great beachside location Pool was amazing - big enough to swim laps! Rooms clean and spacious with efficient air con and lots of lights and power points

Umbrellas by the pool need replacing The second smaller pool all the beds were broken We only had breakfast once and it wasn’t great. Food sitting in the hot sun Coffee wasn’t good But plenty of options up the road Pool bar available but only had staff when pool was empty. Could make a lot more of this feature We had a poolside room be prepared for the 54 steps. Unfortunately I had rolled my ankle which didn’t help!

Very friendly and supporting staff. Excellent breakfast. Very good location near the sea. Excellent spa and massage facilities. Very prompt cleaning.

“Pool view” means south of the river, original room was tiny and smelled of mould - gave us an upgrade for extra 100k a night. Bedside sockets, ceiling fan and bathroom tap did not work. Was a miscommunication on spa payments as we paid masseuse in cash assuming that was for the service per their pricing and upon checkout reception wanted me to pay again.

So much more to this property in person. Would have been very stately in its time, remains stately now. Great location. Awoke to a rooster crowing early and then fell back to sleep each day. Loved the visiting cat looking for attention. Felt very calming and homely. Terrific quirky character for a relaxed beachy holiday. Beautifully friendly people and rooms well made up everyday as requested. Terrific location with the restaurant across the road (not busy and easy to cross). Beach and long sun chairs directly on the beach. Black sand and rocks (wore beach going Zorali sandals in the water, to snorkel). Amazing colourful reef fish. Bintang to cool down before lounging in the umbrella shaded sun. Cocktails and more Bintang for sunsetting beyond Mt Agung volcano. All in all, had everything we wanted plus more for the 4 night stay. Banana pancakes and scrambled eggs for breky. We’ll definitely be back. Amed is magical 🙏❤️ Warungs with live music and beanbags small walk down the hill. Also Pokebowl a little walk into to town with a band playing great tunes 🙏

Loved this spot! Great location, walking distance from lots of restaurants, easy access to beach, beautiful pool. Staff were very kind and welcoming, and even decorated the kids beds with towels in different shapes which they loved. Quick scooter ride to great snorkelling spots. Good snorkelling from main beach as well. Wifi everywhere too and liked that they didn’t promote single use plastic, we could refill our water bottles in reception as well as our room water being refilled daily.

Breakfast was good. But some of the food wasn’t very warm (buffet style), but that’s just being a bit picky. Lots of variety provided which is great. Bathroom water temp & pressure not great. Either scolding hot or cold.
