As far as I can tell, all the rooms are fully self contained suites. All rooms have stunning ocean views overlooking a marina area. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated to a high standard, and were very well equipped for self-catering. The staff were very accommodating, since we arrived early and they made our room available a couple of hours early. The kids in my group enjoyed the pool & also swimming in the ocean. The gym looked very well equipped but I didn't use it.

I would be hard pushed to find faults in this hotel. I spotted a couple of imperfections, but nothing worthy of mention here. This was a great hotel, and next time I find myself in that area of the island, I will be returning. When I do return, I will book directly through the hotel though. After many years of using booking.com and spending many thousands of dollars through booking.com, I will no longer be using booking.com because of their poor customer service and their refusal to settle a dispute over a $100 taxi fare. If that is the low level of concern that booking.com has for their customers, then I am no longer interested in dealing with them.

The location was exceptional. Liked the free parking and great wifi. Master bedroom bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was relatively well-equipped for self-catering. And thankfully, the heat worked well and there was plenty of hot water, because it was chilly outside. Big bonus was the ability to watch the antics of the Sea Lions on the docks from the comfort of our room.

It’s definitely showing its age. Popped windows that were all fogged up. Sofa bed in the living room was pretty bad. We could not cast/mirror to living room TV and few news channels available. Worst problem was the room was not clean. Food crumbs everywhere when I unfolded the sofa bed, toaster was sticky and full of black smudges, floors turned the bottom of our bare feet black. Fortunately, housekeeping came in the next morning and gave it a good cleaning. I also asked if the units were scheduled to be refurbished anytime soon and management said the second and third floors (where we stayed) would be redone in January, so I assume many of these issues will disappear.

The view from these rooms is indescribable. So beautiful. Ocean and mountain and sea lions right there to see everyday. The rooms are suites with a living room and kitchen. Nicely designed. The bed is super comfy. I fell asleep right away. The restaurant food is really good. We loved the chicken wings especially. Oh, and the blackberry lemon aid was exceptional.

The bedroom needs a dresser. It's sparsely furnished. There's only a suitcase rack to put my suitcase on and then no place other than hanging to place my clothes. The restaurant was hard to get a table. It was always full. And, I didn't know there was a pool until my dad stumbled across it. It would have been nice to be told about it. These are just small issues. I would not hesitate to go back to this hotel again and again.

This was our 3rd year in this hotel and doubt i will ever stay anywhere else, when we visit Duncan. We gave ourself an extra day on this trip to do more exploring around the hotel. It's usually very quiet at this location, but we were woken up to seals barking off the docks. We didn't have a balcony, but were able to move chairs to the balcony sized doors and have coffee to watch the seals swim and play.

Ocean view. Updated rooms. Having a kitchen. Costs. Accessibility to outside with our dog.

Pull out couch mattress is way too thin and uncomfortable. The phone rang @ 6am in our room and my daughter’s room. Odd. Should be fixed as it must be a systems issue. Rooms need bigger and more artwork.

Gord at the front desk who was so very helpful and an all round amazing person. Other staff members were also very professional and helpful.

The suite did not have air conditioning and the suite below ours had a person who smoked out on their patio and the smoke drifted into our suite forcing us to close the door and suffer in the non air conditioned room.. The restaurant did not have air conditioning and so we went to Duncan for dinner.

Room is spacious and the view is fantastic. Clean room and very comfy bed. Really liked the early breakfast delivery —because the restaurant opened late. We were on the ground floor so had a lovely seating area outside with a table and chairs. The pool was nice too. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was expensive

The location is breathtaking! So peaceful and beautiful. The room was amazing! New and clean with modern appliances. The bed was so comfortable and the sofa bed is the best I’ve ever seen in any hotel! The staff were amazing and so friendly. I was so pleased to be able to bring our big fluffy Malamute there! I felt the love everyone showed him…from the treats to the pet package in the room, and all the attention and head scritches from everyone, he was spoiled! Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night but are definitely staying there again in the future!!

Lovely peaceful place, beautiful scenery. Quiet hotel, tasty meals at restaurant. Enjoyed the swimming pool. Nice shops nearby.

Would have liked a breakfast included in price though they bring it down to room.

Beautiful location in an interesting village. Wonderful views.

One elevator for the entire hotel (including staff) was tricky. Room was renovated mostly. Still needed some work with older furniture. Lovely view but no balcony in the rooms.
