The owners of Cole Bay Vacation Retreat were lovely. We stayed in a first level apartment that was amazing with their attention to detail. They delivered a custom breakfast in the AM that we requested...never stayed in a BNB that had that option. They have worked for years to fine tune their lodging. They did have Standard Poodles in the yard that accessed the apartment so if you are not OK with Dogs probably not for you. The Poodles were friendly.

We were not advised that there were dogs in our access to the apartment. Also We expected a separate building from the main house and the owners switched us from the original location before we checked in due to a long-term rental, We were relegated to a basement apartment under the living quarters of the hosts. I get it ...but no notice was given.. would have cancelled if we knew the circumstance.

This is a gorgeous place to stay! It’s located close to the Victoria airport and Sydney or Victoria. I stayed here at both the beginning and end of my trip to Victoria. The owners went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They were very adaptable when I experienced both flight delays and very early flight times. The rooms are beautiful, beds are comfortable and the owners provide everything to make it a positive experience. The breakfast was one of the best that I’ve ever had! Thank you to the hosts/owners for making me feel right at home!

Beautiful suite with everything you could possibly need or want. Fully functioning kitchen, separate bedroom with most comfortable bed, and lots of couches to relax on. Lots of special touches such as cozy blankets to curl up with. Karey very friendly and welcoming. Provided us with the name of a local restaurant which had great food. And the homemade, hot muffins in the morning (before our flight) were fabulous. The airport about 5 minutes away which was another definite perk. Highly recommend staying here.

The spacious suite was very comfortable and well-appointed with full kitchen, patio, two large bedrooms, dining room, sitting room. Everything was tasteful and in good order. The host provided a home-cooked waffles, muffins, or scones each day, even though we did not expect breakfast. Very friendly atmosphere with two large poodles.

A small suggestion: provide paved access. The graveled path to the suite is rather long to carry luggage, and it is difficult to wheel a suitcase over the stones. This becomes an issue for seniors. Even the two steps with no handrail was a drawback, and I had to go over the lawn to avoid climbing stairs.

Cute & cozy, clean, friendly, great location close to Sidney, Victoria, & several tourist attractions. Breakfast was the best they definitely put the BREAKFAST in “bed & breakfast”. Airport less than 5 min away. Golf course across the street with food & pub. Owners were very helpful with communication throughout our short stay & solitude/privacy when needed.

Our time at Cole's Bay Vacation Retreat was very short, but exceeded our expectations. From the time of booking, until checking out, we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Very close to Victoria airport. Comfortable accommodations. Very clean, beautifully decorated. Great breakfast. Warm, friendly hosts, eager to help with info about the area and the Island. Very quiet beautiful area. Right by a golf course. Picture included is of Patricia Bay Park pull-off just a couple minutes away.

Everything: the location walking distance from the beach, in a rural environment; a lovely garden; friendly dogs; outdoor relaxing space; interesting and safe gate locks; and interesting flowers and plants. Indoors every small detail was attended to. The interior decoration is stunning! The home made baked items served in the morning was delicious and a real treat!

Our host was very warm, friendly, and more than helpful. The site and the bed and breakfast were very peaceful and pleasant. A short walk of less than 5 minutes took us easily to Cole's Bay Regional Park and a beautiful view of the waterfront. The included breakfast was generous and very good.

A large ensuite bedroom attached to but separate from the main house. Separate entrance in rural setting but easy to get to and parking spacious. Near local golf course and bay beach. Hosts very friendly and will prepare and deliver breakfast to your liking - I just ate in the room. Fridge and coffee facilities in room.
