Lovely room with ensuite including shower (no bath). Small kitchenette in the corner, with a fridge, microwave, and couple of hob spaces, enough for a quiet weekend away to make sandwiches, and a simple evening meal. Bed and wardrobe on one side of the room, with TV opposite the bed, and then sofa, small table, and the kitchen facilities on the other side. Lovely cooked breakfast across the yard in the main house, very welcoming, with cereal, fruit, yoghurts, and then a full English, and there were brollies available in case the weather wasn't friendly.

I stayed there in 2017 and we returned there in 2023. The location in the countryside was relaxing and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean and tidy. We enjoyed the breakfasts they were unhurried and really good - cereals, yoghurts, fully cooked Welsh breakfasts, toast and preserves. We hope to return there again, maybe in 2024.

I have no complaints whatsoever about our stay in Oakenholt. The nearest bus stop sign for buses to Flint has been damaged by vandals. We had to be quick on the mark to get busses to stop there.

Very relaxing and quiet retreat after the hustle and bustle of tourists and seasides. Les and Jenny are warm and friendly hosts, they couldn't do enough for us. Plenty on offer for breakfast, cereals, yogurt, pastries, toast as well as a full cooked breakfast, full until teatime! Lots in the area for exploring, so planning to return!

Nothing serious at all, a strange slope on the bed which felt a little odd at first!

A wonderful comfy twin room warm even in the winter. Decent warm shower for after a long day out in the cold. A scrummy breakfast from polite and kind people to start the day. A super quiet and calm location, that's far enough from the road to hear no noise.

Missed the turning the first time despite the big B&B sign! The drive outside the front door is very icy in the cold so be careful in the winter! Those are the only things I can think of. It's a great place to stay.

Good parking. Warm welcome. Attentive owners. Quiet location. Good beds therefore good sleep. Good hearty breakfast. Very comfortable lounge with tv. Use of dining area for lunch or evening meal. Nice gardens with outdoor seating. Owners giving great service and always available for advice.

The ensuite door did not close properly and the shower was not powerful enough . ( We accept the fact that this is a converted listed farmhouse and neither of these things spoiled our stay )

A beautiful location - in an area increasingly dominated by busy roads Oakenholt is an oasis of green fields and chattering birds. The hosts were helpful and friendly, the breakfast delicious and the room clean and welcoming, with a lovely view over garden and fields.

The fact that I hadn't found Oakenholt for previous trips - there are very few establishments that make allowance for lone travellers as this one does.

It was like going back to my childhood & staying in the countryside with my grandma & granddad, feeling total at home, not feeling we had to leave the house if we felt we wanted to chill out & relax in the comfortable surroundings. Breakfast was individually cooked to order when we arrived for breakfast & was superbly cooked with huge portions just like grandma used to cook & served up by our excellent host Les, nothing was too much to ask 😍Everything was perfect, we couldn’t fault anything during our stay & we are already recommending it to friends & family & we will be returning 👍

The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. I needed an early breakfast, which they were happy to arrange. I room was larger than expected and well-furnished with basic cooking facilities and a good-sized bathroom.

The TV remote was playing up a bit but probably just needed new batteries.

We had a very nice room with Shower which was a bit slow and that is the only downside of our stay. I appreciate that it is difficult to get extra power in an older building. We especially enjoyed watching the birds on the feeders. Breakfast was amazing, well cooked and well presented. Sausages and bacon were amazing.

Would have liked a more powerful shower, that's all.

As we were staying for five nights, we were given a free upgrade to an apartment to give us more room but were still able to have full English breakfast each morning, which was absolutely delicious. Apartment was really lovely and so clean. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly, will recommend to friends. Location fabulous!
