The property was well placed for visiting all areas of Carcassonne on foot. Our downstairs room was clean and comfortable with twin beds and an ensuite shower room. Breakfast, served between 8.00 and 10.00 each day, included friut, juice, yoghurt french pastries/bread and a selection of preserves - all delicious. The owner of the property was really helpful and had a great sense of humour. Carcassonne was beautiful and staying at La Cour Carree made iour four day break into a memorable holiday.

Staying at La Cour Carrée was just fantastic. There’s something special about sleeping in a house built in 1810—you can almost feel the history in the walls (though thankfully, they didn’t start whispering in the night). And then there’s Reggie. What a legend. He met us at the door, showed us around, and instantly made us feel at home—like staying with an old friend who just happens to own a stunning French townhouse. The place itself is gorgeous. Those old shutters? I need them in my life. They made for the best sleep I’ve had in ages. I stayed in the double room on the ground floor, which had loads of space to get ready and a shower so nice I almost moved in permanently. The whole place is this perfect mix of beautifully restored history with all the modern comforts you could want. And breakfast? Don’t even get me started. The coffee was without a doubt the best in Carcassonne—either that or I was just in desperate need of caffeine (probably both). Add in pastries, creamy yogurt pots, and an apple tart that I could’ve easily eaten three slices of, and it was a breakfast I won’t forget. Reggie, I promised I’d say something in French, so here it is: Merci infiniment pour tout, et à bientôt! (Courtesy of Google Translate—so if that’s wrong, blame them, not me). And because it’s true—On t’aime, Reggie! If I’m ever back in Carcassonne (which I definitely will be), I know exactly where I’m staying.
Nothing 🙂

Regis was such a wonderful host, so friendly and welcoming that we felt instantly at home. He helped navigate the city, gave ideas for restaurants and also kept our luggage until we were ready to catch our late afternoon train on check out day The location is central for access to different parts of the city (both old and ancient). It's a short walk from the Airport Shuttle stop (Dome), and 15 mins easy flat walk to the Train Station. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the beds are super comfortable.. Breakfast was delicious - breads & pastries, spreads, yogurt, fruits, juices and a really good coffee.. Regis has created an inviting and relaxed place to stay. . Highly highly recommend
Nothing...all expectations met or surpassed

Exceptional friendly service. We were able to borrow bikes and bags etc for a lovely bike ride along the Canal du Midi. Host accommodated an early breakfast on request, spoke great English and was able to help with questions/planning. Great location near the River Aude and a short scenic walk to the citadel. Only 5 mins from Place Carnot and covered market, restaurants. Some great restaurants nearby. Beautiful accommodation, comfortable and quiet air con.

La Cour Carre is well-located, within a twenty five minute walk of La Cite (the medieval castle) and about a ten minute drive to the castle parking lots. You can walk about fifteen minutes in the evening to the old bridge (Pont Vieux) and see the whole castle lit up. The room we had was a very recent renovation, extremely carefully done. Good beds, great shower. The breakfast was generous with good coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, good croissants and baguettes and a good selection of jams and honey. The service here and elsewhere was very friendly. The host also speaks English if you have difficulty with French.

The host was absolutely fabulous and very helpful - we really enjoyed our stay! There is a cheap public car park ($2 overnight) right in front of the door. The breakfast was awesome and we would definitely stay again!
Hotel is a little hard to find as it is just in an ordinary looking building without a flashing neon sign. It is right next door to the church. Trust Google Maps to find it, perhaps check street view before departure so you can see what it looks like - just find a park in the carpark as close as you can get to where the GPS tells you to go, then get out and find the hotel by looking for the small wall plaque that bears the hotel's name. Push the doorbell button for the host to let you in. Finding it is a bit of a pain but totally worth it!

Everything went beyond our expectation - in hospitality, service, quality and comfort. Breakfast was delightful - a fresh continental breakfast served in a beautiful setting. The location was perfect for access to restaurants, shops and the old city. Parking facilities were immediately close by - outside the front door.
There was nothing we didn’t like! Regis was a wonderful, charming and very helpful host. The establishment, the guest room, the dining area, the outside courtyard were spacious and beautifully presented.

My stay at the bed and breakfast in Carcassonne was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the charming owner, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, providing all kinds of thoughtful touches that truly made a difference. The personal attention we received was outstanding, deserving a perfect score of 10. The services offered by the establishment were impeccable, from seamless check-in to assisting whenever needed, again meriting a top rating of 10. Cleanliness is a priority for me, and this place did not disappoint; every nook and corner was spotless, earning a well-deserved 10. The comfort of our room was unparalleled, offering a cozy retreat after a day of exploring Carcassonne, easily a 10. Considering the high level of service, the exquisite breakfast, and the overall experience, the value for money was excellent, making it a 10 in my book. While the location is just a tad shy of perfection at 9.5, it's incredibly well-situated, making most of Carcassonne easily accessible by foot, which was a huge plus for someone looking to explore the city. The breakfast was a highlight of our stay; it was delicious, very comprehensive, and felt luxurious, setting us up perfectly for the day ahead. Overall, this bed and breakfast is a gem in Carcassonne, offering a blend of excellent service, comfort, and value that's hard to beat. It's clear that the owner and staff put their hearts into making guests' stays memorable, and I can't wait to return.

Location to old town is good; 1/2 hr walk to the citadel Carpark in front of property Large triple room Beautiful decor Excellent bathroom but might need a door if not travelling with family Lovely breakfast room Regis, the host, is a lovely friendly guy who attends to all details and communication He helped carry the luggage
Nothing It was all very good Be aware that the citadel is a long walk and can be hot but there is a tourist ‘train’ for those who can’t walk for long The property doesn’t have a lift so be aware there are stairs ( not narrow)

My wife and I really enjoyed our week at La Cour Carree. Our hosts, Karima and Regis, were very welcoming, and Regis presented us with a delicious breakfast each morning. This was a wonderful start to the day. Our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was spacious, with good lighting and efficient shower etc. Beautiful courtyard for reading and relaxing. We look forward to our next visit.
We loved everything.
