We stayed at this hotel during our family vacation between Germany, Denmark, and Norway. Our room was located in a quiet corner and the bed was comfortable. Through our window, we could see a small garden and some houses. The hotel is located in front of a marina and a beach area, where some brave children enjoyed a late afternoon swim. There were several parking possibilities: free street parking and private. We chose to stay at the hotel's private parking because the price was right and offered extra security. The promenade leads to one of the houses of the famous painter, Edvard Munch. We enjoyed walking on the promenade. On the same street where his house was located, today a museum, were copies of some of his paintings showing the place, that inspired them. During our evening walk through town, we talked with one of the locals, who gave us some tips of affordable dinners and bars around the area. We chose to eat at the hotel's restaurant, where we enjoyed our delicious dinner while watching the sunset. All the personnel were friendly and very professional. I found interesting the different rooms and corners in the hotel, where one could sit, enjoy a drink, read a book, or simply view the sunset. On our floor was a small counter with free fruits, coffee, water, and tea for the guests.

Driving to this hotel is tricky because the streets are very narrow. But once you are there, it is worth it! We had some minor problems that were tackled immediately in a professional and satisfactory manner.

The hotel has its charm, although you can see it has been built a few year ago. Friendly and helpful staff, clean room, spacious breakfast area with a beautiful view, and good assortiment for breakfast. We were a family of 4 people, and all concluded we would come back.

The bed was a bit too soft from me, but that is a personal thing :) Others like it.

Located in a quiet town south of Oslo, would be perfect if you want to get away from the city while on a trip here. The staff were very helpful with any issues we had. The rooms were fantastic; lots of space, clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was amazing, and I'd highly recommend eating here if you're staying, or passing through.

It seemed a little bit pointless for them to charge for parking in front of the hotel, when you can park on the other side of the street for free. Its about 10 meters further from the door, and it isn't like they are in a busy area and need to stop tourists from parking there.

Not many hotels left in Norway where tradition meets contenporary, style meet comfort, and where service meet quality in food and amenities. We enjoyed the short stay very much!

We loved the property that comes with a bit old fasion building that is quaint for sure. No really shortfalls , and love the well equipped suite with all we need

It was extremely serene and beautiful. Everyone was incredibly helpful and nice.

Maybe run breakfast a little later, but that is my own fault 😉

After paying over 3600 nkr had to pay 150 nkr for parking. When you pay so much for a room parking should be included In addition there is no disabled parking. Closest is across the road.

Beautiful hotel and the room was great with a lovely sea view. Very good breakfast with lots of choice.

There was a door to the neighbouring room (to allow for joint rooms if required). This was badly insulated so we could hear the neighbours a lot!

Overall great experience. Beautiful hotel with a very nice aesthetic. Great breakfast.

The only thing I can say is negative is the bathroom. The toilet seat seems to have burn marks from previous travellers. The toilet in general seems rather cheap plastic, compared to the rest of the hotel.
