New and fresh. Big room. Fridge in room. Big bed, a little hard for my taste, but have had much worse. Good closet space. Big and comfortable shower.

Had some struggle with getting in due to no reception. But clear signs where to call, and a quick fix. This due to us ordering late in the day. Would probably not have been an issue if we ordered the room earlier. Only cleaning and new towls every 5 days. Cleaning every 5 days is ok, but I like new towls every 2nd day at least.

Breakfast in the cafeteria was more than adequate and very reasonably priced. The lounge area was a comfortable, quiet and restful area where you could relax. My room (standard) was not too big but extremely quiet from internal and external noise; bathroom small but functional and all very clean. The hotel is very well situated being a few minutes walk from the rail and bus station, shops and hospital across the road. Bus stops right outside the front door of WH. All perfect for me and none of that ghastly piped music that pervades most public spaces these days! If you need something lively look elsewhere ....

Couldn't get the TV to work but then I didn't particularly want to watch it anyway. For the rest I could find nothing to fault at all. Excellent all round!

Communication re entry. Was not told it was automated and info would be sent on sms. I was on an esim and therefore could not receive entry code. Why not sent by email as well? Also wifi password not received. I had to resort to calling someone who could provide code. Once in, all good, but could have done without the hassle....

Wilhelmsen is the ideal location for a visit to Tonsberg close to restaurants and other attractions and close to public transport as Oslo is only just over an hour away. The accommodation is excellent and the staff very helful.

There is nothing not to like about this accommodation and would recommend a visit. We have always stayed here over many years and never disappoints!

Having all the entry codes and administration sorted out by email in advance was really good: the ability to just walk straight to my room without any sort of in person check-in was really appreciated after a long journey. The gym was an unexpected bonus, which I was fortunately in a position to take advantage of. Also, the fact that all local takeaways seem to know where it is and are happy to deliver there removed a lot of decision making.

Would have loved to have a kettle in the room.

Local to the town, train, buses and local shops. Cabal TV, netflix and YouTube.

No information in room, I.e how to use the air-conditioning, the 2 chairs in the room sunk as you sat in them, but overall very comfortable.

Uncomplicated check in with a code. The room is very comfortable and you have everything you need. There is a cozy sitting area on the ground floor and I can recommend the WH Cafe - especially the kanelboller 😁 I didn't use it this time but there is also a parking area right next to the hotel! I have stayed here many times before and will definitely come back again.

We loved our stay the accomodation was lovely. The room was clean and very comfortable, the food available in the shop area was very fresh and lovely. The smoothies were excellent and the sandwiches very fresh. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We were staying to attend a football tournament our son was part of and one member of staff was lovely giving us advice on bus times and availability etc. All staff we saw during our stay were lovely. The outside area is lovely also, with the wonderful warm weather we had I could have sat in the garden area all day!! Very relaxing with soft music playing.

Only thing that I was a little disappointed with was there was no kettle, cups, glasses in our room. Its nice having faciliities just to make a cup of tea / coffee in your own room but there was no facilities for this. Also just maybe having some glasses etc so that if we buy drink for our room we had something to drink from. Also the fact there isn't staff available at evening times etc so that if questions like these arise you have someone to ask but this is only an observance rather than complaint! There was nothing in the information saying there would be any of these facilities so I should not assume.

Easy to enter, clean and has all you need to make yourself a breakfast or even a dinner.

The parking that is advertised is super expensive, you can park 50 meters further for free. I wish they would advertise the free parking.

Wilhelmsen House was a really relaxing and comfortable place to stay. It is right near the train station which is really convenient and it is a 5 minute walk to shopping centres etc. It was a great place for us and our son.

The time of year made it difficult to get the food we like for breakfast and lunch so that was a bit frustrating. The WH Cafe had some options but they were quite limited.
