The building was homely, inviting with well maintained old architecture and interior design . Lots of cosy aesthetic spaces . The expansive rooftop and its visual aspect of near and distant views of Medellin ,especially at night time was special. All the staff were helpful ,warm and friendly .No Spanish was not an issue. The menu at 61 Prado was first class. Quality restaurant cuisine with hospitality to match. The bathroom water was hot. The bed was big and cosy with tasteful linen and pillows. It was always quiet.

I was totally comfortable, happy and extremely satisfied with the week I spent there. WiFi could be faster at times , but a city issue I believe.

3 star hotel with 5 star service! The hotel has character and although furnishings are a little dated, the staff is exceptional and always eager to help. Good choices for breakfast and food in the restaurant is reasonable priced. Being able to drop off your laundry in the morning to find it freshly washed and neatly folded on your bed by the end of the day makes you feel as if you are home at mom's or as if you all of a sudden acquired Dobby the house elf. We also loved the spacious rooftop.The location is about 4 blocks from Medellin's Centre, which is a bit rough around the edges and thus to be approached with caution, especially at night. Unbeatable value for price. Highly recommend.

Wifi was strong and consistent during our first stay, but very inconsistent during our second stay. Noone's fault, just something to be aware of if you are dependent on solid wifi connection.

The area.. not much around. Very dark at night. It was quiet though. One day I saw paperwork just left in the open and it had people's personal info on it - not good! Breakfast not included

Excellent staff and service, fabulous restaurant on site - breakfasts, wine, dinner etc all thoroughly enjoyable. Quiet room at the back of the property (as requested), hot water, very clean and comfortable. Car parked safely in their secure parking next door. Rooftop terrace nice as the sun goes down. Excellent location if you are visiting from overseas for hospital treatment and/or require car repairs in Medellin as these facilities are on the doorstep.

The hostel is fabulous it's just unfortunate that it's not in such a good location for visitors - it made walking anywhere 'uncomfortable' but for a great value stay in Medellin and use Uber/taxi for any evening outings...definitely worth it.

The Hotel is beautiful, comfortable, clean, quiet, I loved the ambiance, the service, the stuff is amazing, extremely friendly, courteous, attentive and professional. I was always greeted with a smile. My room was very spacious, updated bathroom, nice and clean. Situated close to all the main attractions, 3 blocks away from the metro station, from there you get everywhere you want to go in 5 to 10 minutes. Don’t feel comfortable taking the metro? It’s Very easy to get a cab from the hotel, they drive by constantly and rides are very cheap. The food is delicious, they have a great Menu, they have something for everyone! pastas, pizza, stakes, salmon, burgers, salads… The Chef is excellent and a sweetheart. Everything was perfect, everyone is very nice and accommodating. I reserve my transportation from the airport with them, that was great, very easy, they were on time, I felt safe, I didn’t have to worry about getting myself to the hotel on my own.

We loved the place, it was very warm and welcoming, and we loved the food, we were so thrilled the food was so good, it was fresh and we preferred eating in the hotel then outside, prices was super good and the food was made with special care, love, really to recommend it for the other guests. The staff was very helpful in every way, if we ever go back to meddellin id prefer to go back to Prado hotel 61, we felt very safe there. It was a amazing journey ......! thank you, and Dios te Vendiga....

I liked that there were a couple of English speaking employees. All of the employees were nice and helpful. I liked that they had a restaurant in the hotel that allowed me to put the meals on my check out tab so that I could use my credit card. I liked that the kitchen staff was patient with my ordering in butchered Spanish along with the help of google translate. The meals were reasonable priced with good portions and were delicious. I liked that the staff was honest and their check out tab matched my check out tab. I liked that the hotel was securely gated and protected from all the outer lying potential riff raff. I liked that the room had an attached bathroom.

The room could have been air conditioned, but I was grateful for the oscillating fan. I made the staff aware beforehand about my early arrival and early check in and the need for a shuttle/transportation to the hotel. No one showed up and I was literally accosted by a bunch of guys trying to force me into their cab, which I was not comfortable with at all. I stayed in the airport for 90 minutes after the cab/taxi drivers all dispersed and finally chose an older gentlemen who I felt I could trust. I paid him 105,000 COP and he took me on a wild fast and furious ride to the hotel. The bed was not comfortable at all, It is located in a not so great neighborhood on a very busy road.

Great quality rooms, close to Metro in a reasonably safe area. Hotel exterior is very secure, being fully barred with doorbell entry. Very convenient in house restaurant with decent food at reasonable prices. This is a great place, well worth the cost.

Internet seemed to block many sites, all 4 of our devices had issues we have not had elsewhere. It wasn't bad, especially if you have roaming phone. Things like YouTube worked fine, it seemed to be VPNs and downloads that were most affected. It is about a 20 minute walk to the main restaurant area.

We liked a lot our stay at 61Prado. The hotel location is amazing, only a short walk from city center. You need to be aware that in this district there are many homeless people in the streets, however hotel is a few streets away and we felt very safe. We liked the amazing friendly staff and good breakfast. The hotel is very comfortable, it has a nice lobby and rooftop with amazing views. Room was a bit outdated but very cosy, shower had hot water.

Some hotel facilities would benefit from an update, but we still enjoyed our stay there.

I LOVED this hotel, loved the staff, looooooved my room, loooved the location during the day, loved the rooftop, loved the restaurant, loved the other people I met who were staying there, I won't stay anywhere else when I visit Medellin again.

The location at night is not great ~ but that's easily solved by taking a car or cab.
