Everything about this hotel was perfect. The warm welcome and the hugs goodbye. The hotel was immaculately clean. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was super relaxed. The food was delicious. The location and little beach were excellent. Uber is easy to use and a taxi would be with you within 5mins! Sandy on reception and Maria were the most helpful friendly people I’ve ever met, but all the staff were so lovely. They all genuinely cared if you were enjoying your day. Fresh towels were ready each morning for your use at the pool. Our room had fresh towels each day and beautifully cleaned daily with linens changed every second day. I can’t wait to visit again!

Perhaps the live DJ on Sunday afternoon was a little too much but that’s just my view. And the older gentleman waiter Christos was not friendly and grumpy compared to all the other staff.

Great hospitality!! super friendly and helpful staff! The rooms are comfy and spacious with plenty of storage. The bed was comfortable with clean fresh bedsheets. The swimming pool is absolutely gorgeous, and the cocktails at the bar are delicious!! Exactly what you need to unwind. Breakfasts are solid with lots of options, and overall the food is great quality. The location is really convenient, with a lovely breeze and a beautiful sea view. Towels were always fresh, and room service was spot-on. I absolutely loved my stay and definitely recommend this place!

It’s worth noting that floor in the room was a bit dirty, and the chairs on the balcony were dusty and had bird droppings on them, which was a letdown.

The salt water pool was very nice! The restaurant location was also very attractive. Rooms were comfortable and balcony view was great.

The staff didn’t allow me to share my booked taxi with another guest travelling to the airport at the same time.. even though her taxi was not due for another 15 minutes.. plenty of time to cancel her booking. The little beach was rather unloved and access rather uncared for.

The staff here are amazing… they truly care and went above and beyond. Especially when my car broke down and a member of staff spent a long time in the heat of the day jumping it. Very friendly and caring community at this hotel, including the cleaning staff. We also loved the pool and literally a few steps down to the beach. Perfect for families- places to eat and mini mart a two minute walk away.

We stayed one night at the Hotel Mati July 2024 as a stop over flying from the UK to Athens on to Skiathos. The hotel arranged a taxi transfer that collected us & returned us the following day which was very easy & convenient. The hotel & room was very clean the room we had was comfortable for 3 of us, balcony on the side of the hotel with a view of the sea. Staff were all helpful & polite. The salt water pool & pool area are lovely, snacks & drinks available with a great view of the sea, you can walk to the small beach below. There a few restaurants close by but we choose to eat at the hotel because of the direct view of the sea from the deck - we enjoyed our meal of Greek salad, Souvlaki & house rose.

First impressions the Hotel looks a bit dated but it’s very typical of a European hotel - marble floors, dark wood, quirky furniture, ancient lift but it had character & we enjoyed our stay.

My stay at Mati Hotel was absolutely wonderful! This beautiful seaside boutique hotel exceeded my expectations, from the large balcony offering stunning views to the pristine premises. The staff made all the difference—Vicky at the front desk and Margarita at the restaurant were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making my experience even more special. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Mati, Greece!

Nothing, it was perfect! I honestly can't think of one thing I would change about this beautiful little place.

2 out of 3 couples received an upgraded sea view corner room - lovely views of the sea with a great balcony, very spacious room with comfortable bed. Snacks and drinks at the pool bar were very good. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool looked very nice however, the weather was not conducive to swimming when we were there.

The parking near the hotel was full so we did have to park our vehicle up a hill in their upper lot. The elevator is very small so if you are travelling with a lot of luggage you will need to make multiple trips.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering stunning views of the sea. The amenities were top-notch, and the dinner options were delightful with fresh flavours. The staff helped to take our cases to the room as they wouldn’t all fit in the lift. All the staff were extremely helpful, service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for our stay. I would highly recommend a stay here. It will definitely be somewhere for a return visit.

Wonderful sea view and comfortable room. The Breakfast buffet had a large varitey of items including eggs, cheese pie, croissant, cereal, fruit, cheese and coldcuts, something for everyone. In the hotel main are, there is a lovely dining area, lounge and bar just before reaching the outdoor pool and seating area.

Shower size was a little on the small side. Could use a tissue box in the room.

The staff and owner here are my very favorite! I have stayed here for years with my kids and family when we travel from the islands to Athens by ferry. I love the people, the food and the location! It is an easy walk to dinner with a few great choices and the hotel has excellent food and bar service as well. The hospitality and staff are the shining star! I love the family there! See you next year Hotel Mati!
