We asked for allegren-free breakfast options in advance and the hotel listened to these wishes and delivered. The ground-floor apartment was clean and comfortable, and easy to access. Nothing was missing, there was even full kitchen set for prepring food. Friendly staff and they were easy to contact - we were afraid that we would not make it within the time frame check-in was possible, and I contacted the hotel with Whatsapp. I got a response immediately and they were even ready to fix an alternative solution if our arrival was going to be delayed. We would be happy to stay there again!

The only just slightly bothering thing was that the guests were keeping their bicycles right outside of our window, and all the noises were audible inside.

We only stayed here for 1 night to break up our road north, but from the 9 different places we stayed in during the trip, this is 1 we all wanted to return to. Location is beautiful, right on the canal on a very quiet one way street, just a stroll from the shops in the centre. The apartments are built on the first floor and access is via an external staircase. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, there is a dining table and a smart TV too. We were the only guests, but the lady who met us had gone out the way to prepare food including a basket of warm gluten free bread for those of us who needed it.

A small, inn-like accommodation offering good breakfast, free public parking option on the street, in the center of Edam, with a walking distance to the bus station. Our room was in the rooftop, pretty simple, clean, with cosy bed, clean sheets and linen. The room's floor is leaning towards the kitchenette, so feels a bit strange sleeping in a leaning bed. The small kitchen is well equipped. Its staff is really kind and nice.

The noise from the restaurant/pub beneath the room can be disturbing.

It is a simple hotel - with a simple bedroom and adequate breakfast. It was not luxurious but met our needs. If you are looking for luxury, pick another place , but if you are looking for a place to rest at the end of the day, it is fine. We spend very little time in our hotel rooms, so this was perfect for us. Comfortable bed ( a little hard but that works for me) and a good shower. I don't need more than that! And delicious coffee and adequate breakfast options .

Steps to the room are difficult to manage so select a ground floor unit if that is an issue for you

Spacious room under the gable roof above a cafe along the canal in central Edam. Excellent window view to the canal. Free parking all over Edam. Adequate breakfast. Really great location, 27 min. by bus to Amsterdam.

The room's sloped ceiling and wooden beams means one has to mind their head. Access to the room via steep wooden stairs up the roof, no lift. Windowless bathroom with signs of mould in the corner of the shower. Plenty of mosquitos (in April).

There was no heat in the room when we arrived and so it was a very cold night and morning It was fixed the next day There could have been more utensils and kitchen dishes People from North America often use wash clothes but none were offered

The accommodation was superb with virtually everything we needed. Breakfasts were more than generous and they went out of their way to ensure my gluten intolerant partner was catered for. There was also secure parking for our cycles.

As we were there midweek we did not experience the noise complained about in other reviews. Having said that if there had been music in the bar we probably would have been there anyway. Storage or hanging space in the second bedroom would have been helpful.

We loved the location and the quietness of the streets, the hotel is right next to the canal, but still has a parking space, the bar next to our room was not loud at all at the time of our stay, but provided a nice place to relax at the end of our day. A short (20min) walk from the hotel you can see the sea side which is also a nice thing to see if you are visiting.

Location was great for walking into Edam, fabulous breakfast - great bar right in the canal with live music - lovely rooms with good bike parking, kettle and stove top - lovely to be supplied with good coffee and selection of teas

This was a lovely location right in the heart of edam, Very traditional and old buildings all around and the canal right in front.

The two bedroom cottage was very cute and well equipped. Note that the spiral stairs are very steep and narrow for a young child. The mattresses seemed a little bit old and slightly hard.
