Beautiful grounds with lots of flowers and a nice view of Long Island Sound. Nice rooms with comfortable beds. If you needed a sun umbrella next to your beach lounger, the staff would quickly put one up for you. Good beach for mobility impaired thogh the hill down is a bit steep (might get a staff golf cart ride if necessary).There was nightly live music on the patio bar. Helpful staff. Quiet at night (we went Monday to Thursday to avoid numerous weekend weddings). There is a Starbucks in the lobby where you can get breakfast drinks and pastries. There are good restaurants, stores, and sightseeing in this region of Connecticut

The water on the beach is really shallow (a sand bar), so you have to walk a long way to swim. Beach bar is expensive, can't bring own food and drinks though many smuggled them in). Amazingly slow elevators for only a few story building. Fairly crowded hotel resort.

We were upgraded to a lovely room because our King ocean front was not yet ready. It was comfortable, clean and quiet.

Considering the price of our room, I think complimentary breakfast should be included. At the very least, "free" Starbucks should be included. The coffeepot in the room, with the standard coffee, just doesn't measure up. And a refrigerator in the room would have been nice also. When I went down to the Starbucks one morning, AFTER the hour it was supposed to open, there was nobody to be found and everything was closed up tight. I had to beg for some milk from the kitchen to take up to the room so I could put it in my coffee in the room. Very disappointing. And one last thing - PLEASE attend to the exercise equipment in the gym. The elliptical machine was so rusty and noisy it was unusable.

Swimming pool in the morning always saves the day! :) As to food, all was very rich - all too my American for my taste, especially being in the East coast; however the breakfast is very diverse and rich. My only suggestion is - please have a coffee machine to make a proper coffee, or at least an espresso maker. NY nor Boston is not so far away after all. Thanks for the up-grade. This made the place very comfy and enjoyable.

No drinkable coffee :) a lot of it but not very good. Perhaps restaurant could look into more healthy and modern options for dinners? Classics all good but great restaurant would make the place shine even brighter.

The location is unbelievable! Beautifully kept grounds! The faculty could not do enough for you. We only ate at Julia's bar which was OK but it looked like the restaurants were busy. We really enjoyed the music each night overlooking the ocean along with the fire pits and there were a lot of nooks and crannies to relax at indoors and outdoors, throughout our stay. I loved the fact that it had an outdoor pool overhanging the ocean and then during low tide you could take a walk out to Salt Rock. It was definitely a level of hospitality that I was not accustomed to ......I would highly recommend going! 👌

The only drawback was if you were looking to play tennis or pickle ball the courts were across the street and very unkept, unattended and a little sketchy!

We booked for our 43 Wedding Anniversary. The Room was a king standard room on the third room. Very nice. It only had one chair, so we asked to another and the front desk was very attentive to our needs. We don't like sitting n the Bed. We went to the Spa and Had the Winter Blitz massage. It was very relaxing. We dont live that far away and we have talked about coming back and getting anther massage.

The sauna is one sex only would have enjoyed having one with my husband.

The location was beautiful, food was amazing and the staff was on top of anything you needed, we had a pedicure and it was top notch, they took their time and I didn't feel rushed.. the bistro was busy every night with entertaining music... The Sunday buffet was also very delicious and had a large variety, although my husband was not feeling well and couldn't eat they still charged us, I was a bit upset about that, we had been eating and drinking all weekend they could have let him sit with us without him eating... We went to the Friday night comedy show, the second comedian was not for me and we ended up leaving early, but the staff did anything to make us happy after and sent us over drinks and a dessert..

The room was clean and comfortable, 3rd floor had nice wooded views and the hallway has an ocean view. Large window let in plenty of natural light. The room had a mini fridge and a coffee maker. The property is nicely landscaped and beautiful even in winter. Access to fitness center, pool, and steam room is included in the room rate. Steam room was great and not crowded. Showers in the locker rooms had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Fitness center is well equipped.

The room was comfortable but the heater/AC unit was quite noisy. Our room neighbors were quiet but if they had been noisy, soundproofing would not be sufficient. The sauna stove in the ladies side had no stones and didn't heat up properly, and there is no sauna in the men's side. The men's locker room and showers are less spacious. There are no bathrobes. The elevator was slow and dim with flicking fluorescent lights, but we were happy to take the stairs. The pool and jacuzzi were operating but were crowded around 5-7 pm on Sunday.

The location was GREAT, it was an easy drive from NYC. I love the beach. It was convenient to have restaurants onsite. It was nice to have food options within a 5 - 20 minute drive. Love having pools onsite as well. I appreciate the size of the fridge.

My sons are young, I wish there were lifeguards at the beach and for the pools. It would have been great to have a view of the water/beach, but I understand our room type did not have that option.

Location was beautiful and relaxing. Beach was beautiful, but hard to get a chair. People hold them all very early in the morning. Same goes for pool tables and chairs. We loved eating out side for our breakfast. Also, was very good. One of the it was difficult to get a reservation. Many guests were attending a conference and were having dinner. We had to eat in the bar area. We were lucky enough to get that,

Beach and pool area was very crowded. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

It was on the beach and the hotel complex was decorated beautifully for the holidays.

Difficulty in finding the reception area/check-in by car. Drove around in circles before finding it. In addition, our table for dinner was in the lounge area and not in the main dining area as I requested multiple times. Beverages were overpriced. Water bottle in room was $4.00 each not free like most hotel resorts we stayed in.
