Louise is a friendly, helpful and welcoming host as is her staff and dud everything to make my stay a wonderful experience. The breakfast offered a range of cereals and yoghurts and a cooked breakfast prepared for you which you booked on an app. The breakfast room overlooks the sea and it was a perfect way to start the day. I stayed in a single room overlooking the sea and Louise has made the room feel extra special with complimentary vanity packs, bottled water and a great selection of tea , coffee and biscuits.
Although I knew my room didnt have an en-suite bathroom I felt slightly worried that I’d disturb other guests as I navigated the safety doors at night but the bathroom was recently updated and nicely decorated too.

Such a warm welcome from our host, Louise. Perfect location, right in the beach. Clean and bright room, with lots of lovely extra touches such as nice toiletries, a fridge in the room and beach towels and bottled water by the front door. Delicious breakfast pre-ordered the evening before. Beautiful weather was the icing on the cake.
We had a sea view room which, although beautiful, had original single glazed windows. The property is on a main road which remained busy through the night. It also had a very bright security light outside which lit the room. However, the guest house provided much welcomed blindfolds and earplugs!

well what a fantastic week at the Gresham! brilliant view from my very large window, overlooking the seafront, superb. very comfortable bed, nice big sink, great with a small fridge. Louise was very friendly and regularly asked if I needed anything. so good I would love to actually live there! if you are lucky enough to find a vacancy at the Gresham you will not be disappointed. absolutely brilliant,I will return ❤️ October 21-29 2024.
not much, but if absolutely picky the window is an old fashioned sash type which did let in slightly too much noise from the road. but soon got used to it as I live somewhere extremely quiet. what didn't I like? Having to leave, brilliant ❤️

The owner was friendly, helpful and informative. The single room was clean, well equipped with thoughtful touches such as a tissue box, mini fridge with fresh milk, nice teas, wifi, sink, easy to use heating, plenty of storage, wardrobe and chest of drawers, carpeted, comfy chair, seaview perfectly positioned to see the sunrise, bathrobe, slippers and bathroom accessories. The breakfast was well cooked and delicious. I had a delightful stay and will definitely visit again.
The window was a little bit draughty due to the strong winds but to be expected in February.

A lovely warm welcome from Louise who took us to our room, explained everything and answered any questions that we had. We had a room at the front of the hotel with a beautiful sea view. There were tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries, slippers, eye masks, hairdryer etc. the room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was ordered the night before which meant there wasn’t long to wait in the morning (there was also cereal and fruit available).
There was nothing we didn’t like.

Just got back from a stay at The Gresham B & B. I arrived a few minuets than the check in time, Louise opened the door with nice big smile and a warm welcome. I told her I was just a bit early for check in, "no problem she replied" I was taken to my room, the room was decorated to very high standard. The room was amazing it had everything you needed. I had plenty of choice of tea , coffee and sugar. The fresh milk in the fridge was changed every day. I had free water and some nice cookies on the tray. I had a really nice sea view form the big window in my room. I picked room 12. I knew that part of the bathroom was just out side to side of my room (5 second walk). The bathroom also decorated to a very standard, I had a nice powerful shower with plenty of hot running water everyday. There were lots of good quality toiletries to choose from. The Gresham was very clean to a very high standard. Breakfast was amazing cooked to order everyday from fresh. The breakfast was done by pre order sent to your phone ( I agree with pre order as it saves a lot of food waste). Good quality food. Steve waited on us, he made sure we had enough to eat and drink, by asking if we wanted a top up on our hot drinks and juice. The hospitality at The Gresham was outstanding. The location was very good, just a few minuets walk from the train station. Excellent value from money. I would recommend The Gresham, I would definitely stay here again. I enjoyed my stay so much I booked and staid another night.
Nothing everything was perfect. I would definitely stay here again

Very friendly and warm greeting on arrival. Room No7.. perfect for single person...lovely Sea view. small fridge a nice addition. Fresh milk provided, much better than those awful plastic containers of long life milk. Also, slippers, eye mask, ear plugs etc a nice touch that not all guest houses provide. I chose not to have breakfast so cannot comment on that.... .
Shower cubicle a bit on the small side...no room to move once your are in there. No big problem just need to be careful not to knock the shower tap accidentally or push the shower door open when picking up shampoo bottle.......mastered it in the end 😊

We liked everything: the location on the sea front with nothing blocking the view from the breakfast room over the sea The host's friendliness, starting with allowing us to check in early after our arrival by train Accommodating our wishes Telling us interesting things about the history of the house, local area and their experience taking on the property Cosy room Milk in a bottle in fridge rather than uht capsules. Refills on request Excellent breakfast
The room had no view, but that didn't really bother us.

Excellent location right on the esplanade opposite the beach and near cafes, restaurants and bars! The guest house was clean and excellently presented. The room was bright and well decorated. The twin room was perfect for two friends sharing. Louise was friendly and helpful and the cleaning staff were very cheerful. Having the parking permit was a fantastic perk and we enjoyed the free bottled water and use of the beach towels! The beds were so comfy I slept like a log! I also liked that the guest house seemed really secure with two doors on the entrance! Thank you Louise for making our stay so comfortable.

Great location Bottled water to take out and beach towels to use Clean room and comfy bed Nice breakfast room with view Friendly and welcoming Milk in fridge, hot drinks and biscuits
The only thing that we struggled with was the stuffyness in the bedroom (granted it was the hottest days of the year). We had a fan provided which was a lifesaver but the room was so stuffy we struggled to sleep. The window was just above the food kitchen so it was blowing in the cooking smell. The window didn’t give much relief at night either probably because it was at the side of the building so not much airflow!
