The location is just perfect, few minutes walking from Skógafoss (which is a super plus if you fancy "private" visitation - just go for a morning or evening visit before/after everyone else). The bedroom size is ok, you can easily fit your stuff. The shower is just amazing (after a long day visiting, you gonna be seeking for a good and warm shower). The hottub outside is good, with a nice view. The breakfast is nice, with a good amount of options. Last but not least, you can find a coffee machine and tea available all the time in the ground floor, which is very nice as well.

The room is spacious and comfortable with the mountaim view and a glimpse of Skogafoss. Self check-in is convenient. Good selection of breakfast. Free coffee and chocolate from the Lavazza machine is a bonus. The location is great. Not too far from Skogafoss and not too close when the waterfall is crowded with tourists. Lunch and dinner are available at Hotel Skogafoss, somewhat 3-400 metres away.

The door lock/handle is a bit problematic to work with as we could not open the door until the handle is properly held so should be repaired.

Amazing experience. Easy self-check. Room was adequate, but the location was stunning. We had a clear night with spectacular northern lights viewing. We were able to make the short hike up from the hotel to the top of the waterfall for some excellent photos. The restaurant nearby provided delicious food and drinks. After a couple of hours of standing in the cold viewing the northern lights, we were able the jump straight in to the perfectly heated hot tub at the hotel (which we luckily had to ourselves) with a complimentary hot chocolate. It was a truly magical experience.

The location was amazing, so close to the Skogafoss waterfall. Our rooms were comfortable and well stocked with clean towels and a gown incase we wanted to use the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable. It’s a self check in hotel and the key code access worked smoothly for the outer door but only one of our rooms. We called Hotel Skogafoss (as instructed) and the staff answered the phone promptly and solved the problem easily. Complimentary hot drinks were available in the reception are which was a very welcome touch. Breakfast was a good selection and the staff helpful, cooking more eggs and bacon on request as guests arrived to eat. There was homemade bread. We ate a good dinner at the nearby Hotel Skogafoss.

From outside, the entrance seemed a bit ‘tired’ with some peeling paint and we weren’t sure quite what we would find inside but don’t be put off! Inside is welcoming, warm, clean and comfortable. A small point and not an issue for us - there is no lunch/dinner available at the hotel, but the Hotel Skogafoss is only a 5 minute walk away.

Easy to locate and self check in, room was comfortable and warm, and the hot tub was a nice bonus. Breakfast was generous and tasty and there was a coffee machine available for use anytime. Hotel is located walking distance to Skógafoss and surrounding falls.

The half shower screen allowed water to splash all over the bathroom floor. Sound proofing of the room could also be improved, I was woken up in the morning by noise in the hallway and dining room.

Very comfortable small hotel, I had 3 rooms for the family, and all have lovely views of fields, and sheep that mill around outside the window. Clean, comfortable and the kids particularly enjoyed the coffee machine with hot chocolate available at all times. Very close to Skoga waterfall, the plane wreck, a black sand beach and the two glaciers. Great breakfast - bacon was the best of the 5 hotels we stayed in. For dinner, we strolled up to Hotel Skogafoss that had good food.

My daughters room was downstairs, whilst we were up, but it really wasn't far and not a complaint, more an observation. At first sight they were unsure, but certainly was no issue once settled.

Breakfast was everything that u needed: eggs, cheese, some meat cuts, some traditional fish, skyr and musli. Coffee machine available 24/7, self check in and out which was very convenient, location is amazing, the view breathtaking, was an exceptional experience sleeping next to a field of goats, the sounds of nature was refreshing

The location was perfect. Walking distance to the waterfall and the trail head. I could see the waterfall view from my back window. I didn’t mind the self check in, however, I could see how some people wouldn’t like that if they are the type of person that needs more assistance. There was a nice coffee and hot chocolate machine that was available 24 hours. The hot tub and sauna area were nice and the views were amazing. My room was clean and comfortable and perfect for just one person. I didn’t smell bad at all like some of the other reviewer say. I was only in Iceland for four nights, but this was actually my best hotel stay during my time there

The self check in process was super easy with some code/instructions provided. The hotel is about 3 mins drive from the waterfall. It was very tranquil and quiet with a pastoral view from the room (the sheep on the green lawn were almost at your doorstep). There was no reception, however at the lobby once you step in there was a coffee machine with also hot water and variety of tea bags which was very helpful. In the morning, the breakfast was ready for your self serving and had a very good variety of ham, cheese and even some tasty herring (!), jam, pastries, waffles etc. Overall, it was easy and peaceful stay right next to the great location.

Great variaty of fruits and local cake at the breakfast. Coffee machine (hot chocolate, latte machiato) in the floor, access the whole day. Access to dishes and silverware for self-catering. Close to skogarfoss and kvernufoss. Parking in front of the building free of charge. Room was okay. Access via code to the building and the room. Friendly staff.

The bathroom was tiny and uncomfortable. The wash basin had a broken peace (still working aß it should) and the shower cabin was not nice (looked like mold was removed, but has been there in former times).
