The suites were very spacious - we reserved two, one for our two teenage boys and a king suite for us and our 3 year old. Both suites (in different buildings) were very spacious, great layout and views. Extremely well stocked with dishes, a fridge, coffee and creamer, utensils, wine glasses. The suites are very modern and new, beds were very comfortable and the room was extremely clean. The bathroom was huge too! Also very quiet with neighbors next door and above us, we didn't hear hardly anything. The whole experience was very peaceful and relaxing. Not to mention you're right down the road from the famous black beach! We didn't get a chance to see the northern lights during our trip, but the location of this place would easily allow you to see them from your porch if they appeared. Everything was perfect and would highly recommend this place!

The apartment is beautiful, clean, comfy, cozy - definitely much better than glam camping or renting a camper van in our humble opinion and for our type of travel. The view is spectacular. The shower is great. The location is perfect for us - less than 15 minutes drive to the Black sand beach with puffins (during the summer), 5 minutes to the other black sand beach with spectacular caves and awesome waves, and less than 10 minutes from the "big" town of Vik. We were so lucky to find this hotel/apartment with a room that accommodated 3 adults with private bath the day before - we always booked last minute since it was hard to plan ahead of time where we were going to end up on a given night - just so many things to see and do in Iceland. The hotel was very flexible about very late check-in. We hang out at the reception area (cozy and beautiful set up) after 12 noon check out while waiting for the drizzle to stop and the sun to come out of the clouds.

We booked a room for 3 adults but our apartment was not prepared for 3 adults - only two sets of towels. We were too tired to ask for another set that night. We couldn't complain so much - the staff is so nice and the apartment is spectacular

It is a spectacular place and worth the extra investment. The view is like no other, and the location puts you right in the middle of the sites in the Vic area.

This was the most expensive property of the eight on our trip. However, our only criticism is there is no restaurant on the property. The associated Hostel did have frozen food, but a restaurant, even bar food, would have been appreciated.

Wonderful apartments on a hill right at Reynisfjara Beach. The whole complex is very nice with a bar, hostel and apartments. Spacious rooms with incredible views. Small hallway to change shoes and clothes for your adventures in Iceland. All basics are already in the kitchen including coffee & tea. 100% coming back in Summer!

Twin beds in the Standard Apartment. Would be great to have a queen size bed. But that’s of course up to the preferences of the guests.

The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and very clean. We stayed in a corner room on the ground floor, which was a perfect location. It provided easy access to the balcony and outdoor areas, making it convenient for relaxing walks around the property or stepping outside to watch the Northern Lights. The hotel is located very close to Black Sand Beach and surrounded by open fields. At night, the area is quite dark, which is ideal for viewing the Northern Lights right from the accommodation—no need to drive anywhere. We saw a very active aurora in front of our room! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for cooking.

The staff was responsive and answered questions well, but they were not particularly friendly or enthusiastic, which could be improved to enhance the guest experience. If the room had a separate bedroom with a door, it would help prevent cooking smells from lingering on the bed. The room is quite dark; adding more light would improve it.

I recently stayed at Black Beach Suites and had an exceptional experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing ample space to relax and unwind. The view from the room was breathtaking, offering a stunning panorama that added to the overall ambiance of the stay. Additionally, the facilities provided were top-notch, ensuring that all my needs were met with ease. I was particularly impressed with the availability of a car charger, which made it convenient for my electric vehicle. The free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the smart TV with Netflix provided great entertainment options. I highly recommend Black Sand Suits for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay.

The location was lovely and scenic. It is a stones throw from the very popular Black Beach allowing us to enjoy it before the crowds. The room was the largest one we have had in the 2 wks we have been in Iceland.

There were no robes or breakfast included which is the norm in Iceland especially a property of this caliber & price. The only window was in the bathroom so it was impossible to cool down the room. We never figured out how to turn off the closet light so we had to rig something to dampen the light in order to sleep. No phones to reach reception. The neighbor upstairs had an incredibly loud walk!

The room was very spacious and clean. There was an entry room where you could put shoes/dirty hiking gear. The ceilings were high and there was a lot of storage space. The shower had excellent water pressure and the bathroom counter had a lot of room to get ready for the day. The view was beautiful and the curtains completely blocked out the summer sun. The cleaning staff were very attentive and even noticed that we used 1 of a certain coffee pod, so they restocked the coffee bar with 5 extra of that pod type.

Beautiful location with stunning views of the ocean. The room was well appointed and had very comfortable beds. Great location as well, being on the very road where the Black Beach is located…

I was quite sure that I had booked a double room with room for four (one large bed and two smaller ones). Instead, the room we received had two small beds and a sleeper sofa! We were only there for one night, otherwise it would’ve presented a problem! Also, the sink in the bathroom had a leak and unfortunately made my wife’s clothes wet when she took a shower.

Location Location Location. Good quality, well equipped accommodation. Beds were comfy but not that wide. Bathroom was fantastic with superb shower. Happy hour beers at the Barn were the cheapest we found in Iceland 😁 Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The dining tables were pretty uncomfortable (not really in keeping with quality of the rest of the suite) - no outside seating which was a shame as weather was great. Although not an issue, for the price we paid i wouldn’t have expected the outside space / small patio to be so covered in weeds.
