This was such a wonderful stay. It was amazing from the moment we got to the hotel until we left. The room itself was super nice, but really the staff is what made the stay so enjoyable. The restaurant attached to the hotel had phenomenal food. My husband really enjoyed the lamb, and I got the fish of the day which was incredible. At dinner I asked about the Northern lights and we came to the conclusion that there was too much cloud coverage. Around 10pm the host knocked on our door and told us to come out as the Northern lights were visible. We got to enjoy the northern lights from their hot tubs. It was wild. The breakfast buffet was delicious as well. Overall 10/10 stay. Will be recommending to friends and family.

This family-run hotel is located just off the Ring Road (Route 1), about a 40-minute drive from Vík. The surrounding nature is scenic, and in the morning, you can watch horses and cows "going to work" in the fields. We stayed in the apartment, which was clean and well-equipped with everything you need (refrigerator, microwave, kettle, stove). There were also some Nescafé instant coffee sachets provided for use with hot water. The bathroom was very spacious, with an excellent shower. Guests can use the hot tubs 24/7 (bathrobes are provided in the room) – and they are truly hot! Breakfast is served in the main building and offers plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. There's also a restaurant on-site, but we didn’t get a chance to try it.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, very good for spotting aurora. Close to several sightseeing sites. Plentiful and fresh breakfast. Beautiful food in the restaurant. Staff is very helpful and pleasant. Hot tub was great, especially after a long cold day out. We've had a triple room. Beds are comfortable. Clean. Quiet. Pateo doors open into the car park. You will need to cross the car park to get to the hot tub. There is a little sitting area with coffee/tea making facilities. Extra pillows. Restaurant closes at 9pm and we arrived after that time, so we were rescued from a hungry death by the best tomato soup and delicious bread. Thanks to a very kind employee.

Everything was great, but the bathroom in our room was quite snug and it was just the sliding door, so it wasn't very private. It wasn't an issue, just a little odd arrangement in the room.

We enjoyed our deluxe apartment very much. It was spacious, the bathroom was very clean, and the bedroom was comfortable. The apartment was climate controlled at a comfortable temperature. The breakfast buffet included a wide variety of delicious cold and hot food items.

Dinner was very pricy with mediocre quality of food. We were there over the Christmas holiday, and the dinner buffet was 11,900 ISK (~$90 USD) per person, which we weren’t informed about beforehand. There were also very few options for vegetarians, so if you’re vegetarian, we would recommend bringing your own food to prepare in the kitchen.

The dinner we had was excellent but somewhat expensive. The breakfasts were part of our room stay and were delicious,... a good variety of food to start our day. When we talked to the owner about wanting to see the Northern Lights, he knocked on our door 10:00pm the first night to tell us how active they were. He took us outside and showed us how to see the Northern Lights using the nighttime setting on our phone.

We loved our room, and the bed was very comfortable. The only issue was we could not control the heat, and even with the window cracked open, it got very hot during the night. It was enjoyable to have the heated floors, but wish there was a control thermostat.

The room was very comfortable and exceedingly quiet. We slept SO well ! The manager was able to accommodate us in a larger apartment for both nights which we had been unable to do when we were booking.That was very kind and helpful for us. Beautiful views from the room. Great shower. Super comfortable bed. Dinner was excellent at the restaurant- great fish and lamb. Our host was very friendly. My only suggestion is that it would have been nice to have a greater selection of breads and fruit for the breakfast buffet.

Anna's is a gem of a little boutique hotel. Situated in a beautiful valley, not far from a gorgeous waterfall and views of spectacular green hills and mountains. The hospitality by their staff, excellent. I stayed in one of their apartments, which was like living at home with a living room, kitchen and bedroom, everything I could need. I also ate at the restaurant where I had a fabulous fish Meal with vegetables cooked specially for me. I couldn't have asked for more and their management was really helpful as I decided to upgrade my room for a third stay night and they accommodated me exceptionally well. I couldn't have asked for more. This is a little find Which I highly recommend!

Hotel annas was absolutely perfect!

Our group stayed for a few nights this past week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are friendly. It’s a well kept establishment and extremely charming. Below is the overall assessment: Pros: -Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, hot tubs available, free breakfast, short drive to two major sightseeing waterfalls. -The main manager (male with black hair) was helpful. Cons: -The price is quite expensive for the stay, compared to competitive guesthouses in the area ($750 for our small room, for a 2 night stay). Yet, the rooms are quite small and basic, slightly lacking in supplies and accommodation. The price simply didn’t reflect the room itself. -Restaurant food items was limited (and quite costly compared to nearby restaurants). Delicious food however. -Breakfast buffet is lackluster with minimal options. Overall, We would stay here again simply due to its charm. There is space for improvement, as with all establishments. The is a quaint hotel decorated with period furniture. The main hotel only has 7 rooms, it has a number of appartment in a detached building. If your looking for a ultra modern hotel this is not for you. The staff were really passionate about what they do, nothing was too much. We ate in the restaurant the food was amazing. Being able to watch the stars is the hot tubs was a great bonus

Someone local has a dog that runs around the grounds, as we went to our car this morning a poop was outside the boot.

Fantastic, remote location. You’ll need a car to get here but it’s quiet and conveniently located next to the ring road. Hella and Vik are a short drive away. Both have stores where you can stock up on food and fuel. The property itself is comprised of an older main building where the restaurant, breakfast room and bedrooms are. However, there are two modern blocks opposite that house the apartments. The property has two hot tubs (not jacuzzi’s) which are clean and perfected heated. They are fantastic for stargazing! They kindly upgraded me to an apartment as it was my birthday. The apartment was perfect! Very clean, modern design and had an adequately stocked kitchen. There’s also a TV where you can watch Netflix, etc and an amazing shower!

Breakfast was adequate but I would have appreciated a few more hot options and better coffee.
