Loved that everything was clean and looked new. The breakfast area which served as a bar at night was clean, spacious and had a wonderful view out of every window. There were tea and coffee making available 24/7. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and warm with a good ensuite. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly the breakfast in the morning was outstanding. If you required an evening meal it was cooked fresh for you and was delicious.

The only thing we weren't keen on was dragging our suitcase through the gravel to get to the door but, honestly, that is just being picky and it's very easy to lift your case from the car to the door.

This is a great quiet location near the start of the south coast attractions. It’s a great spot when heading east to get up early and be first to some of the top spots. Great breakfast for a small place. Great value for money compared to many other options in the area.

I think in the summer starting breakfast at 8 is a bit late. That makes sense for winter but in summer people who want to head out early either need to miss out or wait and get started later. Rooms can feel a bit small, especially when having more luggage to bring in.

We were arriving late and the hotel provided check in instructions which were very easy to follow. Clean, comfy beds, in a great location, good breakfast. Bathroom also nice and comfortable. Location super close to the waterfalls and means you're able to get to them before tour groups arrive.

Breakfast items kept running out because they were replenishing them in small batches but during a busy breakfast time so everyone was crowding into the same small spaces.

The breakfast was great and the location was perfect. Not too far from the airport and not far from the waterfalls and beach. We flew in from Washington D.C overnight. We encountered problems at the car rental, as usual, and didn't get on the road until 3 hours after we had planned. The drive to Hotel Selja was nerve racking, with snow, wind, traffic, roads not plowed, so when we got to the hotel, I was exhausted. We arrived at 12:00 when checkin wasn't until 4:00. They were so nice, they prepared all 3 rooms we rented so I could get some sleep. They went above and beyond, which you don't see too often anymore. I HIGHLY recommend staying here.

Free breakfast was a good way to start a day of adventure on Iceland. Our room was pretty spacious and clean. Towels and toiletries were provided in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Big windows that provided us with a great view. We were lucky to see the northern lights on our 2nd night’s stay. Easy to locate via Google maps, location was right smack in the middle of Reykjavik and Vik. It’s pretty close to some falls and other spots, which was great if you want to visit them early to avoid the crowds. Self check-in was easy.

The location was excellent, close enough to the main road, but far enough so that it was the best location where we saw the northern lights, just outside our room. Breakfast was quite ok, the mushroom soup for dinner was DELICIOUS, the staff was very nice and helpful and the view from the room ... wow. We'll definitely stay here again next time.

Nothing super important. Only thing was that at night we wanted to turn off a really strong light on the outside of the hotel so that we could see better the auroras, but no staff could be seen from 22:00 onwards, which was a shame, as the really strong light was affecting visibility outside heavily.

Nice breakfast with lots of choices. Clean breakfast room with beautiful views. Rooms were quite lovely with gorgeous views. Very clean.

I know this might be hard in a location like this, but some ice would have been nice. They have self serve check in so we did not see anyone until the next morning. They have some drinks available in the lobby. The little refrigerators in the rooms are not very cold. But this is quite a remote location.

Small and simple hotel, but it does the job great. It's located out in a field isolated from any other developments, providing remarkable views of the surrounding mountains and a chance of seeing the Northern Lights! During our stay in early March 2024, we had great views from directly outside the back exit around 1:15am. Staff were promptly available via WhatsApp and helpful. The room was adequately spacious with a comfortable bed, tea kettle, and mini-fridge. Breakfast buffet served in the lobby/dining area includes a waffle maker, bacon, boiled and scrambled eggs, beans, crackers, toasts, jams and nut butters, cereals, milks, and fruits, along with an espresso/coffee machine. It is a 10-minute drive from Seljalandsfoss so convenient if you want to be there early in the morning.

Really, no complaints!

This place was amazing. It was away from town so you can really get a feel for the beautiful landscape all around you and the view of the mountains is spectacular. It was too cloudy to see any Northern lights the night I went but I can tell this would be a great spot to try if you're here in the winter. The b&b is run by a family that lives next door and they are wonderful people. breakfast in the morning was fantastic as well

The location was beautiful only a short 5-10 minute drive to Seljafoss waterfall. The breakfast was excellent and we really did not expect as many choices in such a boutique place. The staff were excellent, really kind and helpful. Hotel room was small in size but it had everything we needed including electric kettle, TV, fridge. There was a coffee machine available in the lobby 24/7 free of charge which was lovely.

Although the facilities in the room were great, the shower was a bit clogged and the condensation on the window in the morning was huge but this might have been due to weather conditions and temperature differences.
