The hotel is simply and very stylishly decorated. The chalets had everything we needed.Fabulous shower. The food was excellent - breakfast buffet offered a very broad range of food. Dinner was also great, salmon fresh from the stream which runs behind the lodge, beautifully cooked. My husband lived the lamb After a long day trekking the hot tubs were a real treat. Best of all were the staff, all of them delightful but a special mention for Sigi she worked out an itinerary for us on the 2 days we stayed there plus printed off our tickets. Highly recommend this lodge

This was my favourite accommodation in our Iceland trip. It’s a beautiful lodge and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. There are two hot tubs perfectly placed overlooking the vast plains. The rooms are decorated with Nordic feel. I also like the little touches of quality like the shower gel, hand soaps which I later found to be a premium organic Islandic brand. The duvet was soft and bed comfortable. This accommodation is a special place that made our trip extra special.

I wish the property served dinner. I think they used to. Would have loved to try their food.

Great location. We chose it as it was fairly central to places we wished to visit along the south coast and it looked like it would be a dark area during the night for viewing the aurora. Rooms were part of individual lodges with the restaurant/reception/breakfast being in a central lodge. Rooms were spacious and clean with coffee machines. Breakfast and restaurant served very nice food. Staff were exceptionally nice and chef was helpful making sure we were safe regarding allergies. Would he happy to visit again next time we are in Iceland.

Really tranquil, peaceful location - it's only just off the main road but you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. The room was great - more spacious than we thought, very warm and cozy, and plenty of room to park our car just outside. When we arrived there was still a buffet dinner being served until 9pm - it was around £40 each but it was delicious, plenty of choice, and the lamb was fantastic! We had a drink at the bar afterwards, it's a lovely place to sit. The two hot tubs outside are also very warm, so much so that we didn't feel the freezing temperatures at all by the time we walked back to our room. We sat there at night to watch the aurora borealis, and again at dawn to watch the sunrise, and it was a magical experience. It was a really convenient location for us to stay overnight, between our day at the Golden Circle, and the next day sightseeing along the south coast. Having a car is essential for getting there really, but it's a normal gravel track down there so a standard hire car is no problem. All in all, we loved our stay here, and wish it could have been for longer than one night!

The staff were delightful - engaging and informative (suggestions on local walks to river, salmon runs). The main lodge building was full of light, comfortable seating. Lounge space was great for a drink or to sit for coffee. Breakfast was superb. Layout of hot tubs gave privacy with stunning views. Rooms were tiny but well appointed. The walk along the East Ranga river and bird songs were soothing, with great views of Mt Hekla.

A real minor point - better blackout curtains for room windows

All the staff were so kind and provided top level services. Both breakfast and dinner meals were excellent. The lobby, the bar and the restaurant all had very comfortable ambiance. Facilities and and amenities were very good. Easy checkin and checkout processes.

The cabin experience with a great view of wide outdoor expanse was wonderful but the sound proofing was inadequate. There were eight rooms per same roof and the neighbors sound could be heared especially walking sound.

it’s really a cool place!! highly recommended, with super comfortable nice rooms, fully equipped, in a wooden frame, stylish and easy to find, in a wonderful spot. The main building with reception has an attractive look and the attention to details is exceptional. The breakfast is served at a top level, with all you can wish, delicate scrambled eggs, delicious blueberry muffins. The location is perfect for a long stay or just a show up for fishing. Go on this way!!!! 👍🏻

Nice and clean hotel. The main building is very nice and has a very comfortable lounge area. The breakfast was delicious and the beds comfortable

The rooms are in separate bungalows. There are always 6 rooms in one bungalow. The room was quite small and dark. Unfortunately the light switch was right above the bed, so that we sometimes turned on the light in the middle of the night. Even though the hotel is in the middle of nowhere the bungalows are facing each other. Instead of looking at the beautiful landscape you look at the other bungalow. Our biggest issue was that all other guests had to pass our window and could look easily into our room and we could always hear them walking past.

Everything - very helpful staff, amazing location

Nothing about this place. However, Iceland as a tourist destination is completely over-rated, very expensive ($20 for a veggie Subway sandwich) and very disappointing. Wasted our 5 days here - there are better glaciers in Alaska, or hot springs in Costa Rica. A lot of driving for very little upside - better cliffs and landscapes in Scotland, Ireland, India, and pretty much anywhere else

Perfect location for northern lights. We would just pull our Car on the gravel road avoiding the hotel lights, and voila!! AURORA BOREALIS dancing over us. The hotel was easy to find. Good staff & good facilities. Excellent breakfast (Croissants are to die for) Our room had clear view of mountains... room was decent size. Rooms were cleaned by staff everyday. I could not find anything dirty even if I tried lol Shower is really small, but no other issues.

Apparently it's an Iceland thing to provide individual blankets but we would have preferred to have a big blanket to cover both of us.
