Nice and cosy little houses in beautiful scenery, close to the main road but far enough to be silent and dark which is great to watch the aurora borealis. Rooms are nice and spacious with some tea and coffee, and there is a free to use hot tub in the garden under the sky - you can't imagine how wonderful is to watch the aurora from the tub. Staff is really friendly: they asked for our phone number so they could alert us in case nordic light shows up and even knocked on every door for nobody to miss it. The restaurant has a giant window so we could eat our breakfast looking at the sunrise, it was wonderful. This place was cheaper than the guesthouse we stayed in but this hotel was definitely more luxoriuos. Would definitely come back.

There is a sauna next to the hot tub but it was out of service. Breakfast is rich but was not so delicious, the quality of the coffee was really low.

Very nice and cosy location off the beaten track. Stayed in the larger cabin, good for 3 but could have easily accommodated more people. Nice view to the river and sunset. Nice dinner and breakfast. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Lost a charging cable at a previous location and front desk were able to help. We definitely enjoyed staying and will come again another time !

Very windy and windows were not completely sealed so a bit cold and breezy in bedroom, whole cabin creaked and moaned from the gusts. Facilities have been used many times and could use a brush up, but perfectly fine for our stay. Very nice sunset which resulted in most of the guests stood outside our terrace and looked in our room at us enjoying the sunset. Not much privacy as some folks filmed both the sunset and us sitting in our leisure attire.

It was a very snowy and windy day, but despite the harsh weather, our host was incredibly welcoming. Even the following day, when the conditions remained just as bad, she was kind enough to offer us a late check-out at no extra charge. She didn’t rush us to leave, which made our stay even more comfortable and stress-free. To make our experience even better, they provided us with a free breakfast, which was absolutely amazing. The food was fresh, delicious, and exactly what we needed to start the day. It was a thoughtful touch that made us feel even more at home. The place itself was cozy and inviting, with a warm and homely atmosphere. One of the highlights was the game/chill room, which had a wide variety of games, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Whether it was board games, card games, or other entertainment options, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Overall, it was a truly wonderful and memorable stay, made even better by the thoughtful and accommodating host. We would definitely love to return!

We liked everything

Lovely location, sandwiched between the mountains and a river. So beautiful. Loved our cabin. Beautifully decorated and arranged. Great bathroom and shower. Comfy bed and sofa (I slept on the sofa and it was very comfortable!) We got to see the Northern light too. They came out really quickly to change the fire alarm battery which was beeping. So was

The dinner and breakfast cod be improved a bit. Overall it was good but comparing to our other hotels in Iceland so far it could have been a tiny bit better but this is only me being picky!

This place is a little cabin paradise. I stayed in a newer cabin and it was perfect. Everything is new and clean and well-sized. The food for breakfast and dinner was great. I appreciated that they had the opportunity to get a soup&salad buffet instead of a big meal.

Only thing that I wished you could have done was turn the lights off outside in order to see the northern lights better. I understand they probably leave them on for safety!

The hotel is nicely located in a peaceful area. While driving to the hotel you have a beautiful view on Hekla and Eyjafjoll, the hotel is in a litlle valley so you won't have this view from the hotel. The hotel looks very cute and has a little river besides it. The breakfast is nothing special but ok and it's very nice that they have a small menu so you can eat something in the hotel after a long day travelling around. The rooms are good, nothing negative about it.

Lovely place; gorgeous grounds. Cute cottages. Would definitely stay there again. We enjoyed walking around the beautiful property. The only negative was the food. Breakfast was fine, nothing great. Dinner was overly expensive for what it was, way too salty, and not good. There are 4 dinner options. They ran out of the vegetarian option, which was a problem for one in our group. They offered the salad and soup bar as a substitute when they easily could’ve made one of the other options into a vegetarian main. It’s a bit of a drive to eat dinner elsewhere but we would consider it if we stayed again. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful place to stay.

This was one of our favorite places to stay during our 10-day trip! We both wished that we had another night in the area. Loved the yellow cabins, it was comfy and overlooked the river, you could see sheep roaming randomly from your window, and we had the best view looking at sunset. The breakfast was delicious and we wish we had arrived earlier to try their dinner. Oh well, there is always next time!

Nothing! Wish we could’ve stayed another night!

We stayed in the independent cabins, and it was lovely to wake up to views of sheep. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable, but the furnishings were quite basic and it felt more homely than hotel. But we appreciated the cleanliness, quietness and remoteness. We had dinner our first night which was lovely. The breakfast was a good spread that we enjoyed. We did feel it was a little more expensive than we’d have expected but it was a comfortable stay.

The location was miles off of Ring Road. Very isolated and beautiful. I really would like to return and stay for a few days next time. The peace and solitude seems unmatched. There is also a lounge with drinks that I didn't check out because I was exhausted. There were two border collies attempting to herd some horses having the time of their life it seems.

My room was on the side without a view. Ask for the other side and you have a view of a nice stream.
