Lovely lovely staff with loads of useful suggestions on what to see, we used their advice for the rest of the trip. Self check ins have become so common so this was a really nice and welcoming change. The room was also the comfiest out of the six places we stayed in while in Iceland. The room was very spacious with large windows. We also couldn’t hear the other guests. The whole property is very clean and they ask for no shoes inside (but they provide slippers). We were sharing a toilet with others but never had to wait to use it. The continental breakfast was a common offering while we stayed in Iceland, but I liked this one specifically because it had salmon and seafood salads too. The place was easy to find and there was a lot of parking spots available. We will certainly be back here if we find ourselves on the Iceland’s south coast again.

The staff were lovely and welcoming; the breakfast was amazing - lots of variety - and the location was perfect for our trip. The kitchen was also useful, We knew that there were shared showers and toilets and were a little concerned that this might mean queuing for showers in the morning, but this wasn't the case even though the B&B was full. Everything was very clean.

The room size was much smaller than expected - basically there was a double bed, under the eaves, and a small table and chair with very little space to move around and low headroom for this taller couple. There was, however, common space outside the room.

The breakfast was excellent and there was always a good variety of options available all the way until the end of the breakfast service. Despite having what seemed like new guests every day the space was clean and efficient. Also having access to a shared mini-fridge and being able to purchase one off things like beer and wine and snacks was a pleasant surprise.

The soundproofing could be better. Generally people were considerate and kept hallway conversations down but every squeaky hinge, accidentally slammed door, and snoring neighbor was audible through my closed door.

We had a wonderful stay at Bitra B&B. Although we were initially unsure about staying at a place with shared bathrooms and showers, it turned out to be a great experience. The facilities were very clean and well-maintained, and we had no trouble accessing the showers and bathrooms, even with kids, at any time. The highlight of our stay was the incredible staff and owners. They were exceptionally kind and helpful, even insisting on helping with our luggage as I was loading the car on my own. They also provided great tips on best places to go for pools and baths. Our room was spacious, with a separate area for the kids connected to the main room. The breakfast was excellent too. The location was convenient right off the main Ring Road.

Best breakfast we had in ten days of Iceland. Breakfast includes fishes (salmon, tuna and shrimp salad), eggs, veggies, ham&cheese, biscuits, yogurt and jam. Of course juices and coffee. We had a nice talk to the owner during breakfast, that was sharing with us his history and giving us hints on our tour of Iceland. Very kind staff that make possible a late check in due to our late flight.

Room was quite small but for one night is ok. The guesthouse is directly on the ring road (1). This is perfect for reaching it, although the location is nothing special/no special view.

Our stay at Bitra B&B was absolutely wonderful even though we were only there for one night. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and cozy. There were some lounge areas where my mother and I enjoyed relaxing and dinner we brought with us. We were able to make hot drinks when we arrived, including coffee, tea and hot chocolate. After dinner, I had an incredible, hot shower. The water pressure was immaculate! The bathrooms were very clean as well. In the morning, we enjoyed a thorough, delicious breakfast with cold cuts, baked goods and bread, cereal, yogurt, fruits, granola, and other sandwich ingredients. Very sad we had to depart so early on, but we will 100% be back in the future!

The hosts were absolutely amazing. So helpful and so friendly. We got a knock on the door when the Northern Lights were spotted, tour of the property when we arrived, help with our suitcases from and to the car, and so much helpful information about the area. The room was quite spacious. Everything was clean. The breakfast had so many good options. The property was easy to get to and once the hosts turned off the outdoor lights, we had perfect darkness for viewing the Northern Lights. We would definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed at Bitra Guesthouse and was very pleased with my experience. The guesthouse is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. The location is peaceful and quiet, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The price is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the accommodations and the excellent breakfast included. Overall, I would highly recommend Bitra Guesthouse to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in Selfoss. Comfort: My room was comfortable and cozy, with a plush bed and ample storage space. Welcome: The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Location: The guesthouse is located in a peaceful and quiet area, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Value: The price is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the accommodations.

Of the seven different accommodations we booked for our stay in Iceland, Guesthouse Bitra B&B was by far the best. Our lovely host, Kasia, kindly assisted with moving our luggage into our rooms without us asking. She patiently prepared a fantastic brekkie spread for the two mornings we were there, a wonderful start to two days spent mostly on the road. The guesthouse is conveniently located not far from the Ingólfsskáli Viking Restaurant and the main attractions on the Golden Triangle. Guesthouse Bitra B&B will always have a special place in our hearts because that’s where we saw the Aurora Borealis for the first (and only) time of our visit to Iceland in September 2023.

Everything about stay at Guesthouse Bitra B&B was perfect. We wouldn’t have changed a thing! We are grateful to Kasia and the team for providing us with such a hospitable and memorable stay at what became our favorite accommodation while visiting South and East Iceland.

The hosts were amazing. This was my first guesthouse experience and it exceeded my expectations. We got there and it was already dark. We noticed that the northern lights could be out and the hosts did whatever they could to help us see them. It was great! We were the only 2 people booked for the night but when we woke up there was this massive and delicious breakfast. I was astounded by all the different kinds of food they offered. I would stay here all nights if we weren’t going to drive around Iceland.
