The kitchen and dining area were very spacious. Complimentary cocoa, coffee, and tea were provided. The instructions for self-check-in and checkout were very clear. The room size was okay—not large, but much better than a typical hotel room in Tokyo. There were plenty of shared bathrooms and shower rooms. You can borrow a hair dryer at the reception desk. There are grocery stores and a gas station nearby. Btw, gas in Selfoss is way cheaper than Vik/hofn.
The hostel is nearby the traffic, so you might hear some noise from outside traffic. And it's very easy to miss it because the hostel sign is small, so I had a hard time to find and park my car.

The hotel was well located at the center of Selfoss, close by major roads, groceries and restaurants. The self-check-in was easy, room was clean and functional. Although the rooms did not have private bathrooms, but the shared bathrooms were plenty and well equipped. The heater was very powerful and kept the rooms warm in winter. The shared kitchen was large and well equipped- you can pretty much make any food as you were at home.
The facility in the rooms was limited (which should be expected). And it appeared that no staff onsite.

A massive shout out to Bianca and all the staff. They were very nice and friendly. They also let me chill out in the hostel until the late afternoon when my bus was ready to take me back to Reykjavik. Free coffee and a free shelf also helped a budget traveller like myself out. I have a YouTube channel with vlogs from all over the world. You can find my vlogs about Iceland and elsewhere on' MorgansWorld760 " Thank you, Steve Morgan
Everything was great

Quite large property with a very large and fully equipped kitchen. The lounge is tiny, there is a tv but no channels. Rooms are small and come with a washbasin, the showers and loos at in the corridor. Bed was comfortable and there is plenty of storage. The location is excellent with free parking right outside the entrance. There are hot outdoor baths about 5 minutes walk away from the hostel. Make sure you visit the Skyr visitors centre that is nearby! Great for a night or two.
Didn't meet any staff during the entire stay, would be nice to have at least limited reception hours. Also, please get the TV sorted.

Marta and Ania were both incredibly kind and helpful in every way. Very grateful for you both. The kitchen was well stocked with the necessities and free coffee. The showers were very clean and abundant hot water. The beds were comfy and the nightly conversation in the dining area was very pleasant. Highly recommended, ~Zack
Nothing. It was a very fair price for a very clean room

There was underfloor heating which was a god send after a day out in the cold. The rooms were comfortable and the clean and the price was fantastic. The location was brilliant in a gorgeous town. I had a slight issue when we arrived and the owner contacted me straight away to resolve it. The kitchen facilities are fantastic.
It would have been better if tea and coffee were provided as we bought some and it was taken by another group who were there.

Nice small self-check-in hostel near the golden circle, directly on the ring road. Equipped with a big kitchen with four cooking spots. Very nice shared bathrooms! Washing mashines are available. Self-Check-In was easy. There was a sink in the room.
I've never met anyone from the Hostel itself, so if I had needed something, it would have been hard to get in touch. A phone number was provided but that one was only for emergencies. My room was quite cold in the night and I would have liked another blanket. The walls are rather thin and you can hear noises from the neighboring rooms.

It's a self check-in hostel. You have supermarkets, gas stations, pharmacy, bakeries and anything you need close by. I had a private room with a small bed and a sink, which was very convenient. The kitchen was big with all the necessary equipment. It was very quiet at night, maybe because there weren't many other guests around.
There wasn't really anything I didn't like, but maybe compared to other hostels it was a little bit pricier.

Perfect place to rest if you are traveling in the area without having to go sell a kidney ehhehe. Staff is nice and helpful. Thank you Alda for the help with my mistake booking the wrong dates and letting me sleep for 1 more hour :) Spacious room with a double bed. Nice views to the neighbourhood. Sink in the room. Very confortable bed! Was sharing 2 full bathrooms with 4 or 5 rooms, everything was nice and clean. Doors can be a little bit noisy but after everyone went to bed is complete silence. Highly recomend Selfoss Hostel, i will come back for sure. Very good value for money!

Extremely convenient location. Free parking outside of the hostel. Self check in if you arrive late at night. There is the choice of getting a private room-you just have to share the bathroom and the toilets. Clean, warm rooms and a very big kitchen with dining area Overall,it’s a good value for money
It doesn’t provide breakfast included in the price,as the majority of hostels do
