I loved how friendly and welcoming the receptionist lady, Christine, is! She made my stay a lot better with her great attitude. Thanks again, Christine, I enjoyed our chats! I also liked supporting a local family business as opposed to a soulless big chain of hotels; you're actually supporting people who live in the local community with your money. The area that the hotel is located in is very beautiful, there are lots of places to go sightseeing nearby, all within walking distance (or by bus); like the historic city center, the palace, the forest and the parks. I also enjoyed the healthy and delicious lactose-free breakfast options; the hotel actually bakes its own bread. I was relieved by how clean the bedroom and bathroom were compared to other hotels I've visited, as well. The owners clearly take good care of their hotel! No mold or bedbugs or anything like that. It's not the most modern building, but I found it charming. I was really happy that the room came with a fan during the humid Dutch summer heat... The windows can be opened, as well. The free Wifi was also convenient!

It would've been nice if the bathroom came with a bathtub instead of a shower (but that's probably not a realistic wish for this price range). I also recommend bringing earplugs with you, the doors to the hallway are not soundproof (but the walls seem to be).

A little blast from the past, which I really enjoyed. Decoration style reminded me of my 70's childhood. Clean and comfortable and the manageress was lovely and helpful. Breakfast plentiful. Very good value for money. Would definitely stay there again.

Nothing, but then again I like querky, and places with individuality. If you want modern uniformity go to a more expensive chain hotel.

The hotel is older, but well kept and functional. The rooms are small but efficient. The bathroom/toilet in room number 4 was very small. We had everything we needed and the beds where actually very comfortable. The one person in the staff that we were in contact with was great. She was really helpful and accomodating. Overall this was a pleasant experience for our quick 1 night stay in Apeldoorn.

It was a small but cosy place. It's been with the new management for year and a half. Few bits needing to get improved. Already spoken to lady(owner) and gave my impartial advice.

Very good hostess, she made sure everyone was taken care of, had everything they need.
