Gorgeous room and terrace and overlooking the river. Very well maintained and beautiful surroundings.
The welcome by staff was disappointing. Didn’t like the ‘reception’ area which felt like you were interrupting their ‘office’. For the price, I would have liked more attention such as a ‘hello and welcome’ by the first members of staff we saw. The first one ignored us completely and the receptionist had a rather cold approach to us. The bar and waiting staff were always very friendly.

The beautiful location next to the River Avon with views of Salisbury Cathedral is simply stunning. Upon arrival, the cleanliness of not only the outdoor areas but also the Hotel itself was faultless. Because we arrived early, we booked in with Reception with our car reg and after being given a map and directions, we took a sedated 10 minute walk into City centre which took us through little lanes, cottages and past the Cathedral. We wiled away a few hours and lunch etc and got back to the Hotel The Receptionist was helpful, welcoming and took us to our room. Very happy indeed. Bright, spacious, spotless and everything you would want. I was celebrating my 60th with my husband and after relax and nice hot shower, got ready for late teatime to go out. Had our complimentary bar drink and was taken via complimentary shuttle car driven by the amazing Kevin. Had a great night, rang Anna on Reception and she organised collection by Kevin for return. Had a night cap in the bar, filled with Christmas party goers, they were all lovely and then went to bed. Made our way to breakfast which had an amazing choice and delicious too. Then we checked out. I must say, every member of staff was exceptional, happy, polite and helpful. I really can't wait to go back. They made my birthday one to remember ❣️
The only negative was the unit above the bed which made light noises during the night and the little blue light. I am quite a light sleeper and wish I knew I could have turned it off but now I know for NEXT TIME!!!!

We received a great welcome upon arrival with a similar approach from all staff we came in contact with. Our ground floor room was spotless and modern looking and with all the necessary facilities. We paid a little extra for a river view which was well spent for the view of both the river and cathedral as well a providing a terrace and seating. A great experience in an historic city. Money well spent.
A minor point - breakfast serving area space limited causing some crowding and possibly restricting food offer.

From arriving at the hotel, being escorted to our room and a welcome drink, the staff were exceptionally helpful. The room overlooked the river, with a view of the Cathedral Spire and was spotlessly clean. There was a good range on offer at breakfast, which was topped up as needed. Lovely seating area to the rear of the hotel with lovely views. Bar was open for refreshments. The location of the hotel was ideal allowing us to walk to/from the city centre. We were absolutely delighted with our stay and will be returning. The hotel doesn’t offer evening meals but can arrange free transport to/ from local restaurants as required in the evening.
Nothing to dislike.

Very nice hotel on the outskirts of Salisbury - but don't let the uncentral location put you off! It's on a great site next to the river and with a *fantastic* terrace overlooking the river and the cathedral in the distance. A real treat to have a drink after dinner on the terrace, seeing the dusk colours on the Salisbury skyline. Getting into town is only a 20 minute (pleasant) walk - we did it with 5-10 year old kids - and the hotel operate an ad-hoc mini-shuttle service in the evenings, free of charge. The hotel itself was very clean, smart and modern, and breakfast was excellent. Also, staff were extremely courteous.
Nothing much to be honest; I guess it's not the cheapest. And I prefer bigger windows.

The property was comfortable and had a warm feel. The staff were very welcoming and Jason the driver was so friendly. While the property isn't right in the city center its location is great a quick 7 min drive. As the hotel doesn't offer dinner they do make up for this by offering you a free shuttle service to any restaurant and a pick up. That was such a personal touch. Our room had a beautiful view of the cathedral and the river so it was quiet a treat.
We had room 11 which is the last room on the ground floor before the door to staircase and it was quiet noisy when people walked past taking or laughing and opening the door. The rooms seem sound proof maybe its just thin doors. On vacay you like to sleep in and this was a small negative.

Free easy parking. Riverside location. 2 lovely ways to walk into centre. Spacious room with fantastic view over rivers to cathedral. Comfy bed. Well thought out bathroom with places to put toiletries, towels etc. Pleasant lounge/dining area and options for outdoor seating. Good range of options for breakfast. Loved having the option of shuttlebus in evening- thank you Jason
Nothing. The downsides were combatted (no evening meals served but could take shuttlebus into town and have ride back to hotel 5 - 10pm). For people with mobility issues worth noting no lift to upstairs rooms.

Me and my wife went for a 3 day 2 night stay for her birthday (20th of January to 22nd January. The moment we arrived the staff were very accommodating booked us in nice and quickly and showed us to the room. The room was spotless and very well presented with tea, coffee and hot chocolate at the ready. The bathroom was beautiful with a mirror that has a changing colour feature to set the mood. The breakfast that we ordered appone arrival which was fair priced was delicious nothing can beat an English breakfast all you can eat buffet. The grounds are really well kept not a single bit of litter anyway which is always a plus, the building itself was also kept in great condition and really gave it the feel of a grand hotel. Checking out was as easy as checking in quickly and efficiently and the staff again where really friendly. Asked us how are stay was had a good chat and also gave us a discount voucher for our next stay which we definitely will use on our next stay. Thank you to the staff at the riverside.

Excellent service on arrival including the bar and breakfast, nothing too much trouble and Nora and Freya ? made us feel very welcome and valued, even giving great advice on restaurants etc in Town. Stunning views of the river and Cathedral from our room. Pleasantly away from the city centre about a 20 min walk but we didn't need to walk as shuttle bus was laid on whenever we wanted it including return after our meal in Town meaning we were able to leave our car securely in the large car park and not worry about it until we left the next morning.

room was very comfortable, slightly below the spec suggested by booking.com - that said it was extremely clean, quite, lovely views over the river, fantastic staff, great shuttle service - from the moment you enter the carpark you feel you've made a good choice. Reception is great, staff amazing. Rooms well decorated & clean, cleaners did a good job every day. Bar available 24/7 and you get a free drink! They provide a shuttle into the city and will pick you up until around 2250 - drivers are great as well. We genuinely loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Nothing. It's a lovely place and you'd be hard pushed and fickle to find fault. Even being on the outskirts of Salisbury, it's only 10-15 minutes comfortable walk into the centre. The cathedral is visible from the bar and 5 minutes walk away.
