Stayed at the Willow family room/cottage. All 4 beds were very comfortable. Spacious bathroom with big tub and rainshower with excellent water pressure. Enough towels for everyone. Waterboiler and a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies. The kids liked the little bags of candy on the beds.
The carpet in the Willow needs a deep clean/ replacement, dusty and had some holes. The toilet seat should also be renewed. Due to a management change at the time of our arrival (we booked months in advance) there was no dinner or breakfast possible at The Three Lions. We had selected this hotel as our first holiday stop because we did not want to drive anymore once there, so this was very disappointing. We were informed about the food issues a few days before our arrival. Too late to use our Booking.com free cancellation... Not fun having to get in the car again to go out for dinner and breakfast.

The location was lovely, staff couldn’t have been nicer, the food was good and a massive bonus was the private hot tub on the terrace outside our room. All rooms were on the ground floor too. Beautiful well kept gardens and plenty of outside seating.
The only thing that spoilt our stay was that they couldn’t offer us an on-site breakfast due to staff absence. They offered 10% off breakfast at their sister pub in Woodfalls which was really excellent but an 8 mile drive away. This is the only thing that caused a less than 10/10 score. We also were unable to put food and drinks on our room ‘tab’ so had to pay each time, a small issue but prevalent in the south, we noticed.

The pub looked very welcoming when we pulled into the car park. Liam and Abbey were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean , with tea, coffee, and biscuits supplied. There were toiletries supplied in the bathroom. There was a very good choice to choose from for supper. We had a baked cambert to share between the 2 of us followed by a hunters chicken and a three lions burger for our main course. All three dishes were excellent. Breakfast, was included in the price. This was served by Sarah, who again was very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Thank you to all. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
There was nothing to dislike.

Check in was quick and easy. Lovely, super friendly lady at the bar, who took us round to our room and gave us some information and booked us a table for dinner. Room wasn't anything amazing to look at, but it was tidy and clean, and had all we needed, and of course the added bonus that our dogs could stay . Nice little courtyard area that the dogs / children were able to potter about it. This area is only a short distance to the car park, then the road, with no gate - something to be aware of if you have wandering dogs. Breakfast was included in our stay and was a nice start to the day. The lady who checked us in was working again. She gave us lots of information about the ponies and surrounding areas / places to go etc, chatted with the children and gave the dogs a big fuss. Would definitely return if we needed dog friendly facilities again.

Great room in friendly pub. The added bonus of the jacuzzi was much appreciated especially after wakeboarding at new forest wake park. Staff were all super helpful and friendly too
We booked here because the pub did good food and we wanted to stay local in the evening so I could have a drink with dinner. Turns out that the pub wasn’t doing food due to a management changeover which was slightly annoying as we then had to jump in the car to find an alternative. We went to their sister pub where the food and welcome were both lovely though.

Room was great; the evening meal was MUCH enjoyed by myself and brother; lovely and quiet and peaceful; very pleasant staff. (And some real ale - but that was just a bonus!). The reason it's not a 10 is because they didn't have breakfast available for my final morning, which I was looking forward to. A good meal to start my long journey home. But I think this was a 'one-off' and sorted now. Would highly recommend The Three Lions.
Nothing - the lack of breakfast was merely an inconvenience, which I'm sure has been sorted.

We stayed in one of the jacuzzi lodges and it was absolutely wonderful! The room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom. The new owners had only just taken over the property so the restaurant/breakfast was not available and they were still finding their feet, however they were unbelievably accommodating and we couldn't have asked for better hosts! Wonderful location and the jacuzzi was fantastic.
The rooms do get extremely warm so maybe air conditioning could be invested in later on down the line.

Hot tub was the main reason for our stay and this lived up to expectation with good privacy too. Pleasantly surprised by the standard of food in the pub itself and super friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Room was also really warm.
Room felt very dated and seemed not to have been used for a significant period of time prior to our arrival. Quite dusty and the bathroom seemed a bit grubby. Hot tub area was poorly lit and could be improved with a shelter above the hot tub. Bed was quite uncomfortable (2 singles zipped together to make a double).

The location was perfect in The New Forest and the facilities were exceptional. The suite "Willow" was exceptionally large and decorated in the style that you relaxed immediately you entered. The breakfast and dinner choices were varied and the meals were perfect and delicious. Whilst it was a pub, the rooms were quiet. It was close to one of the locations in The New Forest where the ponies and cows gather so you could walk down and see them or go for a walk in the Forest itself.

We checked in later than expected and were met met by very friendly staff that checked us in and showed us to our room. We were very happy with the room from the moment we stepped through the door. It was clean tidy and well laid out with and amazing bathroom. We were visiting from New Zealand to meet family and the staff even gave us 30 minutes or so after close to keep talking as it was only visit for ten years, thank you to all the staff, and thanks to the chef for lovely meals in the evening. Brealfast the following day was also excellent and again served with a smile from the fabulous staff, Myself and my daughter loved the stay.
Nothing could have been better, for us it was perfect.
