The rooms were very clean and very spacious, well set up with additional beds for our family (we booked 3 rooms, all suited us perfectly) Large bathroom with bath, hairdryer, etc. No breakfast is provided, but there is a communal kitchen area with kettle, microwave, plates, cutlery (vending machine) so we could bring and prepare our own breakfast, ideal for family. Perfect for short family stay, like us visiting Paultons Park (10mins drive away). There was also an excellent pub 100yards up the road for dinner. There was also an electric car charging point in the car park.

We all found the pillows a little hard. It's on a very busy road, but the traffic noise wasn't too bad at night.

There is no soundproofing between the floors. We could hear EVERYTHING from the room above. We put up with the intrusive TV during the evening, and hearing every footfall, but we were woken up just after midnight by the man above snoring, this kept us awake for a couple of hours. Shortly after dropping off to sleep again we were awoken by him either jumping or falling out of bed and using his bathroom. We had hardly any sleep and a long day ahead of us. I’d recommend this hotel for very heavy sleepers only.

Large comfortable room, with good size bathroom, tea,coffee provided , toiletries also provided , anti slip mat provided for bath if showering , small detail but for someone with mobility issues this was well thought of as a lot of places don’t provide this , all staff were friendly and welcoming

Did find that returning in evening the disabled parking was full and no badges in cars so I think the signs could do with repainting , didn’t bother us but you can here the traffic from the road ,

We have stayed at the New Forest Lodge before and will do again as we have friends and relatives in Southampton. It is ideally placed to access the city centre and attractions yet sits in the perfect location to explore the New Forest, without paying the premium you would at other New Forest hotels. Good facilities and right next to a pub converted into a curry restaurant which we didn’t visit but has a good reputation.

Everything was perfect for our requirements.

Initial price was comparable to budget hotels, but allowed us to have myself, my husband, and my 2 16 years in one room, unlike budget hotels. Therefore, we saved a considerable amount of money. All the little extras were lovely - fridge, water, biscuits. Just made it so much better than alternatives for us.

No local shops - you need a car, but there is a restaurant on site and service station and McDonald's not far away

We had a wonderful one-night stay at the New Forest Lodge. The room was incredibly comfy and beautifully decorated — it felt so welcoming and peaceful. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless, modern, and luxurious. Everything was just perfect for a relaxing night away. You can tell a lot of care goes into the place. The checking in and out process was easy, friendly reception from staff. The property was easy to locate and had on site parking. Location was good, plenty of places to eat near by and not far from local walking paths. The room was a good size, we had a nice view of a field. Great that there was a small fridge in the room to keep our drinks/lunch cool ready for our walk the next day.

The only thing with the property is the walls are thin you can hear other guests talking in their room and if you happen to be upstairs you can hear every movement made from the floor above.

The lovely lady allowed us to check in early and showed us to our room. She went out of her way to get a bed guard for my young daughter at my request and was overall helpful and friendly. The bed was SO comfortable- I was so shocked! The bedroom was big and spacious, and the bathroom had a bath which we weren’t expecting so we dived into that on night 1. Little to no food available. There’s a fridge which was super handy but, unless you like Indian food (which is on the same grounds as the lodge) there’s basically nothing to order in for dinner (Uber eats etc all had nothing in them). There’s some pubs a short drive away but I didn’t want to sit in a pub with my 4 year old so we had chips and naan bread from the Indian on the first night, second night we just ate fruit and crisps that we had packed for the drive! On our second night we had super noisy neighbours (that or the walls are super thin? I’m not sure). It sounded like their TV was basically in the room with us and they kept stomping up and down the hallway at 11pm (not late for most but for us, a mother and 4 year old, it was really disturbing).

The property was a perfect location for peppa pig world, it has a lovely Indian and local pub for amazing food next door and close by, recommended to us on check in, had a portable air con which was perfect in this heat, everything was self explanatory and property was very clean and tidy, beds were comfy and staff very friendly and would recommend this property.

There was a very noisy family above us, kids were allowed to run around and bang about, however this was absolutely no fault of the owners which is why this hasn’t affected our rating.

Well what more can I say than " Fab " second stay here in the apartment and its exactly what we need that's why we didn't hesitate booking a second time and will be using again for sure. Clean spacious very comfy beds and well equipped even down to free drinking water chilling in the fridge. Thankyou new forest lodge for a lovely night in the new forest !!
