The bed was very comfortable. The room was spotless and the toiletries were of good quality. I had the best poached eggs I have ever tasted. There was good information readily available about the area and the b&b is well situated. It is right at the centre of the town. My room overlooked the garden and was quiet , well protected from the noise from the road. I liked the fact that you can use the dining room if you want to bring in a takeaway. I didn't do that but it is a nice gesture. I felt very safe and will definitely use it again. I found a long stay car park in Princes Rd where you can stay for £4.40 a day. It is free on Sundays and between 4pm and 8 am.

Friendly greeting and good communication via booking.com which made it easy to change check in time due to traffic. Good intro to room by Graham and facilities and location were excellent. The breakfast both morning's was delicious and the options were varied. The Room was clean tidy and very comfy with clean functional bathroom. Parking in car park close by and good information from our hosts about this and local area. Thankyou to Graham and Kay for a stress free stay.

Might be helpful to have some blackout material on the back of the curtains but nothing much else as everything was great and we'd like to come back!

Probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a great many on business and for pleasure. Owners are pleasant and friendly. Breakfast is excellent, good choice, good quantities and cooked to perfection. Rooms are well appointed beautifully maintained and cleaned, bathroom is small (at least in the room I stayed in) but perfectly functional, clean and well appointed.

Nothing really apart from perhaps the paper bathmat which sticks to your feet. But I guess it serves its purpose!

We originally booked a twin room but upon arrival found out it was too many flights of stairs up. Graham changed it to a downstairs room which was not a twin room but it was fine for us. Everything looked like it had just been done up, lovely and fresh. Breakfast options were good, cooked items nicely prepared and presented. We understand that ordering the items the evening before makes things easier for the kitchen but sometimes you don’t know what you will feel like eating the next morning.

No parking in the street outside Palmerston Rooms. The public parking we used was about 500 yds away. To unload and reload the car, we could put it in front of Graham‘s garage.

Excellent B&B. We stayed here as a family, and booked two rooms. We loved the fact that the two rooms were on their own on the top floor, so our toddler could go between the two rooms. They were beautifully decorated with big bathrooms. The breakfast was delicious with choices of hot food and even gluten free toast and sausages which was great. The owners were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying here before a visit to Peppa Pig World as it made the evening stay more of a special event, rather than just staying in a chain hotel near the park itself. There is also a Prezzo next door which was ideal for an evening meal. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely traditional property dating back to 1790, according to the owners, who are doing a great job lovingly maintaining it. My room was quiet and peaceful, overlooking a pretty little courtyard garden. The owners were kind and extremely helpful, going out of their way to organise transport for me when there were no taxis available for the following day. The property is right in the centre of Romsey, with plenty of options for eating out in the evening. The cooked breakfast was enormous!

This little gem of a b&b was a gorgeous mix of modern decor that felt true to the style of building. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable and I loved the little extra touch of a couple of fudge with my tea/coffee and biscuits in my room. The hosts were professional and really friendly and should I ever need to stay in Romsey again I shall be looking and hoping that a room here is available.

There’s no parking but that wasn’t and issue as there a car park just 2 minutes walk away.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and wasted no time showing me to my room when I arrived and bringing breakfast the next day. The room itself was great, and the bed was incredibly comfortable after a long day travelling and attending a wedding. Breakfast itself was lovely; I was asked what I would like and at what time the day before, so when I came down to it is was waiting for me. Really set me up for the day.

Closeness of Guesthouse to town centre without being too close. Privacy of room. Quietness - room was away from road and high up. Kay and Graham couldn't do enough including taking up and bringing down case at start and end of stay -very much appreciated as room was on 3rd floor. Excellent breakfast and everything spotless.

Other peoples bathroom fans being left on for a long time in late evening. I've met this in other hotels/guesthouses. Those that didn't have the problem had bathrooms with separate switchable fans (so you only put them on when necessary) with an automatic timer in case people forgot to turn them off. Don't know how practical or expensive that would be as a retrofit as at present the fan is turned on when the bathroom light is switched on.

The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable. As it was a very hot day we were very happy there was a good fan. Breakfast was very good (vegetarian for us) and really tasty. There is a nice space in the garden where you could sit. It surprised us that both in the garden and in our room (with windows open) it was very quiet, even though there was very loud live music in a pub just around the corner! We had read in another comment that the house was surprisingly quiet even though on a (busy) road, and we can confirm this is really true. Parking is easy nearby, just around the corner.

We would have liked a bigger room/bed, but it is often not very clear on Booking.com when you make the booking which room exactly you get.
